First rain showed a couple of spots no silicon or sealed corners at down spouts with leaks. Day after job completed. Initially, when we were discussing the job We requested the possibility of yanking off Christmas lights on Faccia boards and simply tossing on ground below since they were there. They stated there would be a nail removal and upcharge fee added to estimate for this request. I spoke to the manager of the company after his guys "finished job and left with a ridiculous final configuration of downspouts which posed a tripping hazard for young children and an eyesore and "who did this job?" To anyone that would observe it and there final product leaked! I would NOT refer or recommend these folks to anyone and there lack of communication and lack of professionalism puts you in dilemma so Iso I settle and save a few dollars OR pay a bit more and get a professional completed job by a company who takes pride other workmanship and commitment to customer service. I would advise future prospective clients ask for referrals to their past customers to see their finished work and have a chat with folks that have contracted them to perform work. If. It passes for 10 or 15 feet away from house at knee to shin height cutting off all access to under deck and all who look at it. Will go wow what's up with that? First off, I want to preface this with the fact that I think if we had gone with them for…read moreeverything, I think things would have been done well, and no issues would have arisen. That being said, I left my business with them having a bad taste in my mouth for multiple reasons. 1. Their marketing isn't dishonest, but it isn't honest either. They plaster 'free consultation' all over their website, but that's really tongue in cheek. They charge you $100(after processing fee, we will get to that later), just to show up and give you a quote/consultation on what you are needing. They tell you if you buy any additional services that 'fee' will be subtracted from those services. Ok, fine. They come out give you a quote for a bunch of services, then tell you the prices you see already have the fee subtracted from them, but don't show where or how. So really, it's kind of a fake sale situation, where the 'sale' price from the credit you already paid is actually just the normal price. So, in reality, the consultation was never free. 2. When you factor in all the fees that they charge (base price, credit and consultation) they come in anywhere of 8-40% more expensive than all 5 of their competitors that we got quotes from. Their tree markup was outrageous. They wanted $750 for a tree we could go buy from a retailer for $300-$400. Their selection and availability were fairly limited as well compared to other outfits and retailers. They are the only company we found in town that charges consultation fees. 3. The credit card fee stuff is definitely not something only this business is doing but it is only done by either dishonest companies OR companies with bad CPAs or accountants. The credit card fees are deducible from the business taxes when they file. If they are charging the customer swipe fees to pass it on to the customer AND claiming it on their taxes an 'incurred business expense' that the IRS lets businesses deduct it is super sketchy and dishonest since they didn't incur the cost, the customer did when they passed it on to them. Like I said, it's not just them, but the government needs to address it if businesses like this one are double dipping by claiming the deduction and charging the customer fees directly. I think their game is they mentally lock you in by charging you a consultation fee and then they bank on you feeling like you wasted a hundred bucks if you don't go with their overpriced services. I waffled around with giving them 2 or 3 stars because I am giving them the benefit of the doubt, but at the end of the day I feel icky and used after dealing with this whole process.

On August 3, at 500p I hired Dimond Tree Service thru Simon to fell eight dead spruce trees, one…read morebirch, and two cottonwood trees, and grind the stumps and remove all limbs and debris from my rental property on Wolverine Street in northeast Anchorage. By 700p, Niko and Roy started on the three trees in the front yard and had them on the ground and cut up and stacked by 800p. The next day, Niko and his crew finished seven other trees in the fenced back yard. The yard had only one 3-foot wide entrance through the board fence for equipment (chainsaws and ropes, and debris exit). All these back-yard trees grew against or over a neighbor's 6-foot board fence or grew between three power/communication lines to my house, or both. The two cottonwoods were leaning over my house. All trees were between 60 and 80-foot tall, and the tallest tree was 15-feet from a power pole and the intersection of two neighbor's fences. It really is a special skill to use climbing boots and ropes, but it was the most efficient way to fell these trees in my small yard around the house, power lines and neighbor's fences. As Crew Chief and Cutter for Dimond's (Simon) #1 team, Niko climbed each tree and expertly cut limbs and trunk sections above and between the power lines and safely dropped the sections to the ground without endangering me or his nine crew members, power lines, house or fences. None of my property, or my neighbor's property, was damaged. It was hot but the crew worked hard until 830p the second day and Niko returned the next morning to finish the last tree. Throughout the job Niko's crew happily transported firewood over the fences as requested by my neighbors, and loaded cut wood into neighborhood pickup trucks. Niko and his crew were conversational and informative as to what was happening. They even identified and destroyed a hornet's nest attached to my house that was in the work area. The crew adhered to best practices to minimize risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus. All my neighbors came out in their yards to watch Niko expertly scale trees using tree climbing boots, harness, ropes, chainsaw and lanyards. One neighbor fired up his smoker and handed out smoked salmon for the crew. Another neighbor brought his daughter with ice cream to watch from the street. It was a pleasure to work with Simon, Dimond Tree Service, and Niko and I would gladly hire Niko and his crew again. I will recommend them to my friends and neighbors, especially for jobs around power lines, fences, and buildings. Also, they were low bidder, quick and responsive, experienced, and a family business.

Well, after we paid half up front we never saw Gregg again, not even after the job was completed! With the snow melting now I am getting water puddling up by the slab which should be draining down to the street. I live in an attached townhouse and our driveways are the exact same slope but you can see there is a difference in elevation when you check against the 16" median strip of grass that separates them. In any case, not happy with the service or the puddling/low- sunken areas, it has only been 6 1/2 months. They did it right after it had rained, there was standing water down where it meets the curb and I had requested more compaction against the top area but it was wet as well but no standing water. There are no warranties for this work and I don't know if that's prevalent in this industry. Hope you have better luck than I did.

Jungle Jims did an amazing job on the flooring, as well as the base trim and door trim, in my new…read morehouse. They measured everything and ordered the LVP. They provided measurements for us to order the base trim and door trim materials, which they installed. Installation went by quickly. When I reviewed their work I found two planks that had imperfections (we assume they were just production issues from the manufacturer.) There were also some loose stair noses (from being walked on before the glue cured). They came back really quickly to replace those two planks and fix the stair noses to make sure we were 100% satisfied. I will be using them again for any future needs!

We had Jungle Jim's install luxury vinyl planks in the bedrooms and living room of our little old…read morehouse. The floors in our house are in no way flat -- they have lots of "character". We knew the interlocking planks that are so popular now would never work over all the bumps. Really happy to find these luxury vinyl glue-down planks at Jungle Jim's. They are super tough and really comfortable underfoot. Plus really great looking. We have a large dog with sharp toenails - and I have not seen any marks from his nails. Installation was fast. We were moving furniture back in the same day. There were a couple of things that needed fixing. One was a plank that wasn't staying down correctly (I think it was just a little too tight) and one was a pattern issue (I didn't like a repeated pattern at my front door). They sent back one crew member who fixed it all. They are able to take up single planks, which makes it easy to make changes. If something does ever damage the floor, it is good to know that they can easily replace the planks. We love it so much that we are having them do our kitchen, too.
