They never seemed genuinely interested in what's said and when its time for a referral, forget about it! It's not a problem being referred, them providing paperwork or correcting their mistake is like presenting a case before a jury. Instead of trying to work with me (the patient) and the physician they referred me to, it became my responsibility to sit on hold and be told by my HMO that the referral must come from the primary. My most recent encounter was having my prescription sent to another pharmacy after I completed the pharmacy information request on their form. If they don't bother to read, why bother completing it. There couldn't possibly be a worse example of uncaring, laziness from a group that you must entrust with your overall managed care. Tread lightly with this office. If you have a choice (and you do), choose another doctor.

I think it's great at Dr. Jones office they give you a print out of the visit details and your patient info like weight, temp etc. I hope when/if I change insurance providers I am able to keep Dr. Jones. I definitely will recommend Dr. Jones as a Pcp. The office is in a nice building with plenty of free parking.

Dr Nelson has been my doctor since day one. Once early on in covid I saw another doctor at the practice and did not gel well with her. All I had to do was simply make a note in my patient portal online that I would prefer to see Dr Nelson moving forward and it was done. Being able to use the patient portal to request prescription refills or to leave comments or to get test results is very helpful. I was able to check in online make payments online everything. I don't know that Dr Nelson is seeing new patients which would be unfortunate for this review because it's all about Dr nelson, however if you can get in and see somebody else at village medical, I would highly suggest it. I did see when I was there yesterday that they have other locations and hours are expanded past the normal Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00 kind of thing which is awesome. I definitely highly recommend checking this pracbtice out. You are able to do your blood work right there, you don't get sent around to another facility to get your blood work done and they are very good with putting the results in the patient portal. I have other doctors that I have to practically beg to contact me with results, not this village medical practice

Even when they leave you a message with a phone number, that number goes straight to a call center that is clearly sourced outside the country. They are not able to help in any way. When I requested they connect me to the actual clinic I am put on hold for several minutes and then they come back to let me know nobody at the clinic will pick up the phone. This has happened several times. Appointments are canceled and rescheduling is difficult. Once you are out of the office there is ZERO opportunity to speak with a doctor or nurse. Literally to get a prescription refilled you have to make an appointment because talking to somebody over the phone at the clinic is impossible.
