When I was younger, I needed far less medical attention. As I've aged, however, I've needed more, and I've now seen Dr. Spira in action. I have been delighted by his thoroughness and the attention he gives to all my slings and arrows. Dr. Spira reaches deep into his bag of tricks, suggesting analyses and treatments in areas that are new to me, all with the goal of helping me stay on my feet. I was quite content before, but as the systems inevitably begin to fray with age, they require ever more attention. I feel fortunate to have such an excellent practitioner guiding me.

I have been seeing Dr. Eric Weiss for several years now, and I have always been impressed with his dedication to his patients. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and to explain my treatment options in a way that I can understand. He is also very responsive to my questions and concerns, and he is always available to answer my calls or emails. In addition to his excellent medical skills, he is also a very caring and compassionate person. He genuinely cares about his patients and their well-being. He is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that his patients are comfortable and satisfied. For example, when I was going through a particularly difficult time and diagnosed with aggressive skin cancer, Dr. Eric Weiss acted with extreme urgency about my concerns. He offered me support and encouragement, and he helped me to develop a plan to manage my condition. He also made sure that I had access to all of the resources that I needed as quick as possible. In my case time was of the essence and without his prompt response, I am sure my outcome would have been different. My children are also cared for by Dr. Phillips who is amazing with the kids. She has that extra high touch of care to help like a family member with the emotional support and guidance they need at these formative years And it goes without saying all the nurses and staff at the Village Doctor are top notch! Thank you for all that you do. I can't imagine life without the Village Doctor team.

She came highly…read morerecommended to me when I was pregnant with my first daughter, and we have been with her since then (5 years now). I cannot recommend Dr. Burgos highly enough. She is a doctor who combines that rare combination of deep technical ability with a warm, supportive bedside manner. In my experience she has teased out subtle diagnoses (an overgrowth of bacteria in my infant's gut that was causing colic-symptoms), she has performed thorough and thoughtful well baby checks. She is very conscientious about vaccine safety and other concerns that progressive parents might have. In addition, she has done a lot of hand holding during stressful times, answering calls in the middle of the night when I felt it was necessary--even though a typical physician may not have shared my opinion. She trained at Stanford and her husband is the director of the newborn nursery at Lucile Packard, which gives Dr. Burgos a unique understanding of our local field of pediatric specialists (her knowledge of GI specialists enabled us to connect with a GI specialist who was able to diagnose the over-growth of bacteria in my daughters gut). Overall, you will not find a better local pediatrician, in my opinion. The downside is that seeing her is expensive. In order to work with her you need to sign up for a concierge medical practice called The Village Doctor. This is an out of pocket monthly "subscription" service. It's pricey, but, in my experience you get what you pay for. Our physicians call us directly, we are seen the same day we call in, and we get very personalized care. For example, The Village Doctor has been watching out for me this flu season. I am pregnant, and they called me as soon as the H1N1 vaccine became available at their office. I was able to get the vaccine, as were my children, my husband and even my nanny. For our family, the out of pocket cost has been more than worth it.

Just like I'm petrified of going to the Dentist, going to the Doctor is equally as scary for me…read more I've been avoiding my "annual" medical checkup for 10 years. My wife has been on my ASS for five plus years about getting my butt in to see a Doc. Recently I have run out of excuses and my wife made an appointment for me. I didn't have a regular doctor so my wife did her research and thought Dr. Chen would be the one for me. He is Board Certified which I don't know what exactly that means, but supposedly it's a good thing. He is accepting new patients which at the time of the appointment was a bad thing. His office is close by our house which again is a good thing. Wait time in the lobby is kept to a minimum....if you stop and think about it, this can be a bad thing. He completed his undergrad at Brown which is the same school as my sister in-law, good thing? So how was my first visit? It was painless and strangely enjoyable. It turns out we had many common interests and has a broad knowledge beyond just the medical world. Excellent Doctor and would not hesitate recommending him to anyone who has been procrastinating a check up.

He is well plugged into the PAMF system and thus can recommend other doctors. He is quite responsive to emails and extremely attentive during office visits. No medical system is perfect but quality is measured by people not systems, and Doctor Chen is a great example of what personal care should be.
