Brent Foss helped us buy a house 5 years ago. He was SO knowledgeable as he used to flip homes. He knew quality vs a cheap fix. When looking at homes, he knew potential and options of what could be done with it. He was accommodating and so helpful with resources during the years we lived there. My husband and I are admittedly poor at negotiating but Brent practically held our hands through the process. Earlier this summer, we sold this home with him. Having recently moved to Washington and being first time homeowners there was a lot we didn't know about the area and buying a home. We actually had contacted another agent a few months prior to moving here but that agent was not helpful and would never return emails or phone calls. So, we searched the internet looking for a new agent and found Brent Fosso. My wife and I are so glad that we found Brent. I warned him that we didn't know a lot and will probably have more questions than the average home buyer up front so he knew what he was getting into. Brent said it would be no problem and he has worked with a lot of first time buyers. He has been extremely patient and attentive with all of our questions and needs. I think yelp reviewer above,Takemi I. hit the nail on the head with her description of Brent's service. But here are my two cents: Brent Fosso is everything one looks for in an agent. We had met with a few other agents but for some reason they didn't seem to take us seriously. They'd either not send us listings, or send us listings that didn't even have the basic things we'd asked for. We contacted Brent and asked to see a house listed on his website. We met him and chatted about the kind of home we were looking for, we exchanged information and were on our way....Well to my surprise when I got home I had an email from Brent with a summary of what he thought our idea of a perfect house/location was, asking if he could send us listings he thought may interest us. That's refreshing, I thought, impressed that he'd actually paid attention, because our conversation was so casual and had felt like "small talk" I have to say, he knew exactly what we wanted/needed probably before we even did, to be honest! We moved to Seattle a year ago and we have a young child so we needed someone like Brent who really knows the area, schools etc. He really was on top of things, sent listings as soon as they became available, always responded promptly to my emails and showed us homes at whatever time/day was convenient for us. We saw so many houses, I was starting to get discouraged and a few times I even thought maybe our "wish list" was unrealistic. But Brent was so cool and calm, he urged me to be patient and NOT to settle....we would find our home, he was sure of it. This kind of confidence can only come with the years of experience he has. His knowledge and and understanding of the real estate market is vast. There was a house or two that my husband and I kind of liked and after looking for so long we wondered if we should make an offer even though it was at the very top of our budget. When we asked Brent what he thought....it was obvious that he had our best interest at heart when he'd say something like, "well I think it's a bit overpriced." Perhaps another agent would have just seen a higher commission and told us to go for it. Oh and by the way, he was spot on when he thought a house was overpriced, sure enough we'd see it sold for considerably less than asking price. He also has a great knowledge of house structure/remodeling etc. Ultimately it was his insight that helped us see the potential in the home we made an offer on and purchased. Yes, it needed a little work but even with remodeling we have our home for $100,000 LESS than our initial budget. It suits us perfectly, and we have Brent to thank for it.
