Nice office, thorough exam, good communication. My wife and I are both MDs, and he saw us together, which was cool. He neither omitted info, assuming we knew, or dumbed it down. He seems skilled at matching his style to the person. Again, his exam was meticulous, and his explainations were exactly what we needed. Finally, outome. Best damn glasses ever, beating my all time favorite from seven years ago. Over to the optical shop, where prices reminded me that it was Walmart. Frame selection was good, service excellent, and the glasses were ready a day earlier than promised. About as good as it gets.

They claimed an email was sent but neither one of us received it (we checked our junk email too). What irritates me the most is how the person in the store reacted by saying they have to do this because of no shows. Ok, I get that but other businesses deal with this but sending you a text to confirm or they take a credit card to hold the appointment. It's just a pretty poor way of doing business. I got called right away to start paper work. Gave them my insurance card. After that they took me back to get checked in, pictures taken of my eyes. My eyes were dilated and more test were done. They have great equipment. Doctor Johnson is not a man of many words but he is GREAT at what he does. Gave me an exam, requested I have more pictures taken then he came back and gave me the results. I got my prescription for new glasses and my medical insurance covered the visit. I paid my $40.00 deductible. All of the staff is super friendly and they seemed well trained. I really liked Dr. Johnson. Considering we don't have enough good eye doctors in this town, I was exceptionally happy with my visit.

After verifying with my medial insurance and vision insurance I was told my diabetic exam would not cost me anything. As I attempted to check in however my life was changed quickly. Not only was there going to be a charge but the lady behind the desk said it would be two charges is I wanted a prescription. One for medical and one for vision. What good is an exam without a prescription. That's terrible. I decided that it would be better to cancel and call insurance and get a paper proof of costs. I'm not sure if this office is trying to screw people or double bill but either way it's not going to work for me.
