I found this company here on yelp and was drawn in by all the positive reviews, believing it to be a reliable local person. Ken came to my home to provide a quote for my two-car garage. He is polite and very nice on the day of the quote. I did not get a second quote and went with him because my husband likes him. I confirmed the price via text message, along with the model number for the two-car garage. He answered me with "Correct". However, when installation day arrived, I was surprised to find out that the quoted price was actually for a one-car garage. I understand that miscommunications can happen, but it was disappointing to receive a different price on the day of installation, especially after having confirmed it in WRITING! Everything I said is the truth, I just don't feel the need to put up a screen shot of the text, you can use your own judgment. What made the situation frustrating was the lack of a genuine apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. If he had approached the situation explaining mis-read/ rushed reading the text message, I would understand. I urge anyone considering this company to be extremely diligent. Make sure to get all details and pricing in writing to avoid any confusion. It's unfortunate because I was drawn in by the positive reviews, but thankfully, I hadn't started the job yet.

Kenny responded that they didn't want to go as far out because of "all the specifications" which included the track install system and insulated windows for the most expensive top of the line WD door. The exchange continued with Kenny a little further with Kenny aka face of Adoor Me in this context ultimately responding with: "You read your mind I don't pay Angie's list for Queens only Nassau and Suffolk do whatever the hell you want". Regardless of being out of your install area and/or the potential customer giving too much "specifications" why would a company (Kenny in this case) respond in this manner using this type of language especially if they pride themselves on being a "family owned and operated business" This is the reason why contractors and installers are given a bad rap because companies (Kenny in this case) like this react in such an unprofessional and unwarranted manner. Kenny could have just ended the conversation by saying we do not service your area and apologies we sent you an estimate with lead times and ordering time just days before. That would have been acceptable by anyone but once you have to tell a customer "go do whatever the hell you want", that is not right. I'd write them off as a company that clearly needs a 101 on customer service and would not recommend them to anyone.

I am so glad I saved their info. I called and they were responsive immediately. They asked me to text pics and they added me to their schedule that day. They replaced the springs, cables and pulleys on both sides, and showed me where to wd40 every few months for maintenance. I made multiple attempts to get him back to fix the issue and finally gave up. Everything changed after I paid him. The first time he did work for me years back it was really good but something has changed. Now I will find another company to fix the problem.
