Their work matches their name! They did a terrific job installing my 1 car garage door about 15 yrs ago. This morning, upon closing my garage door, one of the cables snapped. I am so glad I saved their info. I called and they were responsive immediately. They asked me to text pics and they added me to their schedule that day. They replaced the springs, cables and pulleys on both sides, and showed me where to wd40 every few months for maintenance. It kills me to have to leave a negative review about anyone but after he installed a replacement motor I couldn't manually open the door. I made multiple attempts to get him back to fix the issue and finally gave up. Everything changed after I paid him. Before you judge this company, note most of their negative reviews date back to 2014. I asked about this, had to do with former employees. I called them on Monday, he gave me a rough estimate to replace the two springs over the phone. I didn't want them wasting their time coming here for a free estimate so he gave me a high and low price, which worked for me. He gave me some additional pricing in case I needed new cables, pulleys, and a few other things. I scheduled for Wednesday. It was all 1-2-3 on the phone. Gentleman showed up on-time Wednesday, replaced two springs, weather stripping, and the pulleys. Took all of 20-minutes. Clean, professional, greased both doors up, that was it. We didn't plan for the new weather stripping so he didn't have enough for both doors. I paid him in advance and sure enough he came back as promised the next day to replace it on the second door. While I didn't shop around, the price was fair, and I'm not going to waste hours shopping around to save a few bucks. Nothing beats finding service professionals skilled in their trades so you have people you can count on when you need them. They are definitely my garage door go-to company moving forward. I called again, they promised again, no show , no call. I got the spring replaced by another service that told me the spring broke because it was not strong enough. I called Above & Beyond who promised to compensate me for the broken spring. No show, no call. The address listed is a private residence. I went there and was told no business conducted there, but a representative would stop by. No show, no call. These guys were great - We moved into a new house and had to redo our stoop right away because it was a hazard which means we lost access to our front door - our garage door was manual so we needed openers installed ASAP since I was 8 months pregnant and couldn't be lifting a garage door up and down myself - I called and explained the situation to Dennis who came to our home to assess the work that needed to be done and had two guys at our house the NEXT DAY - they did a custom fit because of a panel we had going through the middle of our garage and they were done in a couple of hours and even helped me set up the codes on it after they were finished - I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking to do garage work not only because they were professional but all around nice guys. read more

I slightly hit the garage door with my car. I called Above and Beyond and the technician just started by saying it was a mess . He said the garage door needed to be replaced and will cost me $2200! The door wont be available until 5 months so I asked to close the door for me and he charged me $112. I called another company for a second opinion (The door was hit little and couldn't believe I have to replace it), it ended the door can be repaired and I only paid $115. This company technician told me it was the second case as mine he has with Above and beyond pushing to change a garage door that could easily be repaired. read more

My garage door opener were installed by them a few years ago, so I contact them to fix a garage door panel, reinforced with a 8' plated slotted angle. Worked about a week and half and started to buckle and bent. It took Dennis maybe 5 minutes to install and $250. Came by 2 weeks later to check after complaining about his work, said it was bandaid fix and need a steel or stronger bracket. I wanted to order a new panel and he would have to check on availability since manufactuer is out of business. Dennis was very nice at first but when his repairman came to do the install he said that we were missing a key part(that Dennis needed to tell me I need to buy) so he can't install. He then rescheduled the appointment and they never came and never called. I then called and they said Thursday morning and they never came. Then I spoke with Dennis himself and was not apologetic at all and said "what do you want me to do". Wrong answer! He put me in for a fourth appointment "attempt" and never showed and blamed it on me for not texting him my address that by the way he has in his office on file. After numerous unanswered calls by us we finally caught Dennis on the phone and he abruptly hung up on us. We had no choice but to go to small claims court. When I was looking to have some garage door openers installed I called a different company first. I explained what I wanted and they said it would cost $69 for a service call, but that would be applied to the cost of the service if I went with them. But if I didn't go with them, I'd lose the money. That sounded insane to me, so I called Above and Beyond and spoke with Dennis. He agreed it's nuts to have to pay to get an estimate for work, and he came right over and looked at my garage. He gave me an extremely fair price to install two garage door openers, along with two remotes, two interior buttons, sensors, struts, and a keypad. I called yesterday to see when he would be available to do the work, and less than 24 hours later he came with his assistant and the entire job was completed in less than two hours. Horrible customer service. Would give them zero stars if I could. Called this company last week and spoke with the female receptionist. I requested a Saturday morning appointment for a repair and she said they should be able to accommodate me, she would check and get back to me later that day. Never heard from her. Called back the next day and she confirmed that the repairman, Dennis, would be by on Saturday between 9am and noon. He never showed and no one ever called. My husband called the office numerous times on that Saturday with no answer. Finally, that afternoon, my husband was able to get Dennis on the phone who said the appointment was listed for 11am - 2pm. However, it was now after 2pm and again no one called or showed up. He said he could be there around 3pm/3:30pm - so we rearranged our plans and my husband waited for him. After checking our garage door opener, he concluded that it couldn't be fixed and we needed a whole opener. He said he could do it right then and there for $395. Since I wasn't home and wanted to research this a bit, my husband told him no, but we would be in touch. Dennis said he was available all weekend and gave my husband his cell phone. A few days later, my husband called back and asked if we could schedule the new installation for this coming Saturday and was told by the female receptionist that they don't do Saturday appointments. Huh??? Then Dennis got on the phone and when my husband asked him to make an exception (especially since we were inconvenienced for the first appointment), Dennis said he didn't owe us anything and we would have better luck getting an appointment with God. Dennis is an out and out thief and liar. He came to my home to replace a bracket and roller. Since he started working on it and after I've spent a great deal of money, it still does not work correctly. He charged me $125 to change a bracket and roller. He changed the bracket and never returned to fix the roller. I did try to stop my check but it was too late. As a senior I will report this to BBB as well as going to small claims court. I feel it is my duty to make sure he does not take advantage of other seniors. read more

Hired Above and Beyond to install a commercial garage door opener. They quoted us and came to do the installation. At that point, they informed us we need to hire an electrician to bring power to the unit. We did and called them back to complete the installation. They were a no show 5 times. When we finally threatened to demand our money back, the claimed the electrician wasn't completed and left. No one specified what the electricians responsibilities were and the electrician did not want to terminate the wires because he claimed it was not his responsibility. When Dennis was told to either complete the job or take the opener down and refund us, he ran into his, screeched his tires and drove off. We are now in a dispute with them to complete the job. Very Satisfied: I called Dennis at Above and Beyond Garage Doors in the morning and told him that my garage door was not operating properly. Even though he had planned to take a vacation day, he changed his plans and was at my house within an hour. After testing the doors, he went to the supply house and returned to make the necessary repairs.
