I found this place while in the area on business and one piece in particular caught my eye. A big old hand riveted tank. Sucker weights over 1000lbs. None of knew exactly what it was but that's just part of the fun right? Bought it on the spot after talking to the folks and owners who if you look up Uber Cool in the dictionary, their pics come up. They loaded that beast up and I drove 350 miles back to the KC area. Come to find out it's an old pressure tank that was made by Kewanee Boiler between 1905-1920. The teachers always work well with the students and get to know each student on a personal but professional level. This has always been so important to me and an amazing relationship to have in a learning environment because they know their students' strengths and weaknesses and value each child. They always strive to leave no student behind if they need extra help or even encouragement. I have even experienced them giving my kids more challenges if necessary in subjects that need that kind of attention individually. The academics are always rich, fun, interconnected, and collaborative. The cross-age-group experiences that my kids have had were so good for their social development. The music program has also always been wonderful... and he gets athletics, art, and some theater during school programs all in this small nurturing environment. I'm confident my middle and youngest child are going to launch into middle school with everything they need to succeed, along with a great, big, warm feeling in their hearts for the Niagara community just as my oldest son, my husband, and I all did. These classrooms are filled with so much more than just learning materials; they are filled with tools that will help build the best versions of our children. As a parent and a previous student of this school myself, I promise that you will not regret your decision to enroll your child(ren) at Niagara Elementary School. I know we never have or will!
