I saw Dr. Whitley for a chronic sinus infection that I had been struggling with for several months. After trying previous treatments without success, I was feeling frustrated and discouraged. Dr. Whitley took the time to really listen to my history and symptoms and did a thorough evaluation. He explained clearly what might be going on and discussed a plan moving forward. I truly appreciated that he did not rush the appointment and made me feel heard and understood. The office staff was also kind and professional. I had an appointment with Dr Brock and was very disappointed with the outcome. At no time during my appointment did she exam me. In addition she recommended a hearing aid which another e ENT Doctor told me I do not need. At the conclusion of the visit she just walked out without asking if we had any questions. I was told to go for a CT scan and a receptionist called me with the results. read more

Doctor barely looked at my throat, did not ask what antibiotics I had been taking but quickly recommended a tonsillectomy for my first ever round of bacterial tonsillitis. Really? First ever case of bacterial tonsillitis and you want to rip out my tonsils? Big red flag! They are in it for the money. This doctor seemed senile and needs to retire. read more

I had an appointment. Told them the type of insurance I have. When I got there they told me my co-pay would be 25% of "whatever" the total was (wasn't even given an estimate). When I said that I only pay $25.00 for a specialist they told me they weren't in network. So I had to take the morning off work, drive all the way there, fill out a ton of forms, and waste my time and gas for something they could have told me over the phone. Dr. Holt is a great provider and the office staff is friendly and competent. After a serious mono infection in my teens, my tonsils stayed enlarged and I thereafter kept getting recurrent infections like strep once or twice a year. This happened to me once traveling and I ended hospitalized in a third word country on IV antibiotics. I first saw Dr. Holt to remove my tonsils which he did within a couple weeks of my initial consult. My post-op recovery was more painful than I expected (which I've since learned is not uncommon in adult tonsillectomies) but I recovered without complications and haven't had a single throat infection since then going on 8 years. Last week the office was able to fit me in for an appointment within 24 hours of me calling and I was in an out of there in less than 45 minutes. read more

I ONLY GAVE 1 STAR BECAUSE 0 WASN'T AN OPTION.... From day 1 this place has caused nothing but problems. I got a call spur the moment, they had an appt cancel and asked if I wanted to come early. I said sure, but I'm driving and don't know the address can you text it to me. She says, no problem. The text never came and for the next 30min the phones stayed busy while I drove in circles looking for the place. I arrive and the staff at the front desk was too lazy to look up my insurance info, so she charged me full price for my visit and said, "whatever insurance covers we will just put it towards your deductible." Deductible for what, that's why I have a co-pay. So 3 weeks later I got a check back in the mail for $200. I spoke with Dr Crain, and she was very nice, friendly, but couldn't tell me how much my surgery would be. She advised they will answer this at the front desk. Front desk advises me that someone will call me in the next week to schedule surgery and tell me the cost. 2 weeks passes, no call. So I called to schedule myself. Speaking to Mary she asks what date I want. She has no clue that my surgery has to be performed at the hospital and commenced to schedule me for an outpatient facility. Luckily I paid attention and advised her this is wrong. She apologized and stated, sorry I didn't read your file. Next she advised the surgery will be much cheaper in the outpatient facility if I can get my blood pressure down and get a referral from my primary. So over the next couple weeks I did just that. I called last Monday and advised my blood pressure still high but will be in check by next week. I asked what the cutoff is for cancelling the hospital date and getting an outpatient surgery date. She advised I could cancel the night before, and no problem getting an outpatient facility date as they do these multiple days of the week. This Monday I called Mary to advise her my BP is where they wanted, and had a referral for outpatient. At this time she played dumb like she didn't understand why I was asking to reschedule and advised they couldn't cancel the appt at the hospital since it was only 2 days away. I was upset because this was her advisement, and it took allot of time and money to get BP lowered and monitored. So, I left a message for the Dr. to call me. I don't like that again someone's lazy work ethic is costing me lots of my hard earned money. Never got a call back from the Dr. either. So today I show up at the hospital for surgery to find out my surgery was cancelled. Nice that no one told me right. So I head to their office and get 3-4 different stories of why this was cancelled and no one informed me. First excuse, we were never advised your blood pressure was in check. 2nd excuse was, "oh 3 different people from our office called and spoke to you this week. Lol. REALLY, and I decided to show up at the hospital anyways for fun? 3rd excuse, was we are cancelling all non elective surgeries for 2 weeks. Really, because just 2 days ago you couldn't cancel my surgery because it was only 2 days away. After all this, I had my wife call to get my $400 deposit back and was told that only a manager can do that and the manager won't be back for 2 weeks. Lies lies lies is all I got from this office. One staff member covering up the actions of the next. So let me tell you, if you are even remotely thinking of going to this facility for ANY REASON..... Don't. THEY ARE RUDE, LIARS, LAZY, & MOST OF ALL INCONSIDERATE OF THEIR PATIENTS LIVES AND FAMILIES. It's ashamed there has to be a front office at all, because the Dr. was nice and friendly, the Dr.'s staff is a nightmare. read more

Existing patient. My insurance doesn't cover ear cleaning. Asked what self pay would be for ear wax removal. She said $70. I say ok and she said unless he checks off an office visit which would be an additional $57 - $187. I said I need a firm quote and she said I just gave you one. I responded, "I can't do business in this manner. So much for giving a damn about the self paying patient, and terrible training of the person who represents your business. Disappointing to say the least. Consumer driven healthcare says I vote with my feet and find a provider who can at least quote a rate for a routine procedure. read more

I found the treatment of myself and one other patient in the reception room rude, so I called and cancelled my follow up appointment and offered to speak with the office manager if she wished to call me. I did not get a call back; if this practice wishes to improve, they need to really focus on patient input. read more

Forgot to mention that Doctor Whitley successfully detected lumps in the thyroid of a relative and successfully removed the thyroid avoiding any cancer; and also successfully removed a cancerous tonsil from my mother's throat. The piddly comment's that are posted need to be taken in context! If you had a problem with the office staff, report it to the office manager! Trust me, the issue will go away. This is a CARING medical office. NOTHING LESS THAN THE BEST! read more

The first time I had a negative experience with the woman scheduling my surgery; I just ignored her rude comment and answered back politely and went forward. However, today I had such a terrible experience with most likely the same woman that it actually left me in tears. It's so unfortunate how unbelievably cruel you can be when you don't even know or care to know the circumstances of the person on the line. To still be so not understanding when she heard my baby screaming in the background as I was calling to say I was running late to an appointment. I'm sorry I called 2 minutes after my appointment time to say I was running late but if only she would have attempted to understand that I just had a sick baby vomit all over and was trying my best to make it. It also blows my mind that the dr had already left the building 2 min after my appointment time. Then they turned around and made me reschedule to the day and time of my original appointment that they made me move in the first place claiming the dr was not going to be in the office but now all of a sudden he is. Everyone I have talked to about this has told me to find a new dr and unfortunately I am going to have to take their advice on this one. I'm sure that office staff are met with rude customers/patients regularly but it is absolutely unacceptable to take out your frustrations on a polite person with a screaming baby in the background. read more
