This was so much fun! Easy to book too. So glad I stumbled upon this fantastic business. Looking forward to doing it again too!!

So. Much. Fun. We filled up Slowboy to the max and headed out for the afternoon. Chris was our Chauffeur and he was the perfect piece to our puzzle. We hit up 4 places.. 3 were scheduled and the last placed was a quick walk around the corner from Humble. We were at each place for about 45 minutes to grab a beer or two and then head out to the next. Chris would give us a 10 min last call warning.. and then we'd all pile back in the VW bus and cruise. Slowboy has Bluetooth connection to hook up your own tunes but the sound system lacks as speakers are only up front. So if music is super important.. bring your own block rocker to bump. Also, make a playlist before hand.. you don't want to be messing with your phone in the bus the entire time and miss out on the views of Santa Cruz. We would do this every weekend if we 1. were rich and 2. can handle getting hammered often. Definitely would recommend!!

The Grant Park Neighbors had a fundraising trip on the Brew Cruz the day after Valentine's Day... to say the least, we all fell in LOVE. Thanks again!

So much fun! Great guide and great time. Loved it!!!! It was so super fun and the owner, Chris, was so nice. We had a great time celebrating my daughters 21st birthday.

Our time on "Slow Boy" with Adam was one of the highlights of our California vacation! He was knowledgeable and personable and we learned a lot about Santa Cruz during our ride. This is a great experience and we could not recommend it more highly!

We celebrated my brother in laws 50th birthday. Annie is the BEST driver tour guide to have. So much fun and great personality, easily adapted to our crazy group lol! Highly recommend and we will be renting again. Thanks Annie for such a great experience!

Words can not describe how amazing this experience is. I live in Santa Cruz and I've been to most of the breweries in town... However there is nothing quite like it when you roll up to your destination in "Betty Jane", a sexy restored 1989 school bus with the tunes pumping surrounded by your favorite people. This my third time on Brew Cruz and let's be real... probably not my last! This opportunity is great for whatever party you are planning. I had my bachelorette party here, hosted my dad's retirement celebration and now a birthday party for some dear friends. All thanks to the Queen, Annie who is Brew Cruz owner and main driver. Listen, Annie is the best. Hands down. No joke. She is incredibly patient, extremely knowledgeable of the breweries and makes you feel comfortable. She is a gem folks and you are not going to regret spending the day with her while cruising through Santa Cruz on your way to taste some damn good beer that our awesome city has to offer.

This is a 4 star review, but it's not because of the Brew Cruz Bus itself. So Annie (and I believe she said her friend Chris had a big hand in the restoration project) has a great thing going. As far as I know she's the ONLY Beer Tour bus serving the Santa Cruz area. Standard tour runs around $50 per person (if you get 15 people), but she also does non-private tours for $65 per person. The tour is for 3 stops at local breweries from Highway 1 Brewing Company up in Pescadero, down to Corralitos Brewing Company in Watsonville. Each tour stop includes a pint or a flight included in the price. Annie won't drive all the way up to Pescadero and then down to Watsonville, so you gotta pick 3 breweries that are kind of close together. Don't worry, she drives the scenic routes. The bus is a great little 1989 "Short Bus" (Betty something-or-other) that bounces along the road while you and up to 14 other people enjoy libations (Beer OK, hard alcohol not OK) and snacks (chips/water provided, AWESOME). The bus has very comfy couches and the most awesome "Captain's Chair" that lets you taunt the poor sod who's stuck in traffic behind you. We bought our own beer to enjoy, and the bus has a nice cooler that's deep enough for growlers and 22oz bombers. Annie has a great mix tape that seems to play all the great drinking songs, which we found ourselves singing out loud to more often than not. Good fun. The bus is kid friendly! Our 3yo daughter came long for the ride and LOVED every minute of it. I think she mainly loved that she didn't need to be strapped into a car seat for the journey. With me so far? If riding the bus was the whole review, then 5 stars, I can't wait to go again. Now here's the ONLY problem that we all noticed, and if it wasn't for this small (maybe big) thing it would of been a perfect outing. It felt like the breweries we went too... Weren't expecting us. So I got this Brew Cruz from the New Bohemia Brewing Company Kickstarter. I pledged for the free brew cruz for me and 11 friends, and while the brewery didn't make their proposed January opening, when they finally got up and running in April 2015 I was finally able to cash in my Brew Cruz reward. The Cruz had a lot of dates filled (calendar on their website), so me and my friends decided a Sunday (April 19th) afternoon would work. We decided to meet up at New Bohemia at 1pm, then tour to Corralitos, Sante Adairius, and finish back at NuBo. Annie told us she'd let Nubo (and presumably the other 2 breweries) know of our schedule so they'd expect us. The Brew Cruz and the Nubo kickstarter hinted at brewery tours, which got me excited. My entire group doesn't drink regularly in Santa Cruz, none of us had been to Corralitos or Sante Adairius, but I love to hear anything I can about the breweries were visiting. The fan faire at all 3 places was less than I was expecting. I can't complain too much as all 3 places looked like they were swamped with business (always good). Maybe it was because it was Sunday and none of the owners were on hand, but I never got any inside scoops. I struck up a slightly drunken conversation with the folks at Corralitos and got some back story, also the guys working the counters really knew the beer they were pouring so that was cool. But come on, 12 people just got dropped off at your business, and in our case we'd all never been to any of these breweries before, and you can't jump over the counter and say hello? Nubo thanked us for supporting the kickstarter, reserved the upstairs big table for our group, but then said we could order our beers at the counter (instead of taking our orders). Nubo gave us 2 cheese boards which were very nice, but it was all a very sudden end to what I thought would be a grand finale! No one showed us around, no one asked if we wanted to purchase discounted merchandice, glassware, etc. Honestly, we all had big wads of cash in our pockets at the end of the day. It was quite shocking. Most of us were still buzzing hard. I could of easily bought 3 Tshirts and 4 of Nubo's cool drinking glassware... We decided to just take off. Breweries are dropping the ball, and I don't know if this was just rotten timing (Sunday), or something else, but I'm planning to put up some reviews for the 3 breweries we visited so someone is alerted to the oversight. I do know that we WILL be going on another brew cruz in the future, and I also know that we will not be visiting Nubo, Sante, or Corralitos next time. (well maybe Corralitos, their beers were cray cray!)

    Love it... Thank you Annie

It's that good. And Brion, the owner/tour guide is seriously great. He's incredibly knowledgeable about the Santa Cruz area, the history behind it, and the local restaurants dined at during the tour. Here are some of the highlights you get on the tour: + Brion - totally awesome host! + Tons of history of the Santa Cruz area, the REAL facts behind the SC Mission, history of the railway system, facts about the beautiful architecture surrounding downtown, and much, much more! + Insanely great food at local restaurants - all restaurants Brion has picked on this tour have a story behind them, area local to the area, and are DELICIOUS One of the best things about this tour is that although I'm semi-local to Santa Cruz, I learned SO much I hadn't previously known about the areas and dined at places I never would have otherwise. This tour opens up new ways to enjoy the Santa Cruz area. Although it's the same tour each time I've attended, I've learned a little more about the area, tried something slightly different then I did before, and got to enjoy this fantastic experience with someone new each time. :) TIP: Book as early as possible because the tour dates fill up FAST.

Now she is saying it's the mid day but what's funny on there website for mid-day states "IF the sun permits we will go to the shark park"... I'm posting a pic of their mid-day only to show what is now being recommended after the fact I took the tour.. Word of advice Raina as a owner of a small business myself.. you don't fight with a costumer and blame the costumer like you were doing it with me... you make it right... I get some negative remarks but I don't count the mins they talk.. I listen and wait until their done... I use their feed back to improve or make changes and be apologetic. I even ask my clients for their opinion how can i improve myself and my company. Trust me it changes the whole conversation and at the end we are both happy and they call me again for my business and without me asking they change my rating.. it's what you call communication and not act unprofessional. THE ONE STAR REMARK DID NOT GO TO THE CREW.. I WILL GIVE THEM 100 STARS...THE ONE STAR WENT DIRECTLY TO THE PERSON WHO HELPED ME OVER THE PHONE... WHO GAVE ME FALSE INFORMATION AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT WHICH LATER YOU YOURSELF TOLD ME IT WAS YOU... that's were my 1 Star goes to... *****Really bummed with this company... Sea Spirt ocean Safari is the name of the company... they are a new company the crew was nice but false advertisement.. I just took a 3 tour with them.. let me just say if you just want to go see Whales, Seals, Sea Otters and stand still for about 20 mins and let them slowly explain about the otters and to see some brown sea weed looking thing just to kill time then this is the company to go too. If i personally wanted to go see this... then I would have gone to the regular Company I normally will go to... or selected a company closer to my area... like Im San Francisco pier 39.. they offer all this... The reason why I selected this company was because it advertised the Great White Shark... and i was told by one of their employees...if i would take the morning trip you get to go to the Shark Park and see Great White sharks... if you selected the 1pm then it was a 50/50 chance of going...well I got played... I drove two hours just so I can see some Great White Sharks and that never happened... when asked if we were going....the assistance said no because we spend to much time seeing whales... like wth really...so why advertise it... So the rest of ride I was hella bummed because I was so excited to go to the shark park.. What an "Ocean Safari" tour it was.... Don't get me wrong I love whale watching, sea Otters etc but when a company advertise something and doesn't complete it well its false advertisement on their website to the people answering the phones... I know I'm not the only one.. there was also a group of 6 that showed up and they were bummed too.. who knows how many more people where bummed... the funny part of it all is that they decided to take us out again to see a whale one last time lol but we have no time to see a shark... I would have understood if it was a weather issue but it wasn't I gave 1* not because of the crew but because I had to otherwise I couldn't post..
