We went here about a month ago and at first, thought they were closed because there were only 2 cars in the lot. However, they were open and we found it be a very nice place inside but again, only 4 other people in the place at noon. Concerned us more than a little bit. We both ordered a chicken quesadilla and when they came, they were huge and delicious. Uhh, back to the "when they came" comment. It took well over 30 minutes and there was no one else's order in ahead of us, and the waitress NEVER returned to refresh our drinks, or apologize for the slow service. All this said, we decided to give the place another try today, which is a Sunday. We arrived about 12:20pm and again, very few cars in the lot. I think there were about 8-10 people inside and we decided to sit at the bar. A waitress came by us and began visiting with a co-worker who seemed to be having trouble with the POS machine. After about 2-3 minutes, I cleared my throat and the waitress finally came over and asked us if we wanted a beer list, but we ordered Diet Coke. She then asked he if we wanted menus, seriously. What did she think we there for, just to drink diet Cokes. Now for the weird part. Since the menus had nothing but breakfast items available, I asked the waitress for a lunch menu and she told us they don't serve lunch on Sunday until 1:00pm. I found this to be beyond bizarre. The place is south of Fremont and the only reason we went back there was the best place to eat in Fremont, The Blind Squirrel was packed......serving lunch of course. So the question I ask is: If you need to encourage people to go a little out of the way, and you are already having difficulty doing exactly that, why on earth would you not be serving lunch at noon on Sunday? We will not return to this place. read more

Had lunch at Brew Works yesterday - the hummus appetizer and tart cherry salad (with chicken). No beer this visit, raspberry iced tea. Everything we had was excellent. Hummus was served with warm grilled pita bread and veggies; very tasty. Salad was a very generous portion, fresh ingredients, juicy smoky chicken breast. Beautiful, spotless and spacious establishment. Restroom was squeaky clean! This is a great place to have in Fremont. read more

We just left this place and I just couldn't help it to start this review: the service was outstanding.. Our waitress was super friendly and really knowledgeable of the menu. Went here for a drink and some food. Both of our food orders were absolutely delicious. The drinks were good too. We had the cider. The biggest highlight besides the food was the staff. They were happy and enthusiastic but not in an annoying or in your face way. They were just genuinely excited to let us sample all their beers. This was right when we walked in, just instantly the bartender asked us what we liked and got us several samples without us even asking. The staff were attentive from there on out as well. We stopped in on a Saturday to watch the game. We started with the fried mushrooms, they were beer batters and honestly the best I have ever had. We both had half pound burgers - they were excellent. The place was clean the staff was friendly. Highly recommend. read more

I think my only complaint is that the portions were really small for the price. Salad and dessert were both very tasty, but so small! House sangria was fantastic, and the peanut butter chocolate dessert was so rich and indulgent. I just wish there had been more of it! The interior is very industrial yet relaxed. And they should have a patio open soon! read more

Excellent experience at Brew Works. The beer was amazing. I tried the Vanilla Java Porter, which admittedly isn't from the brewery, but got to sample the Double Bogey as well. Later I was convinced to grab another pint, and went for the Branstom Brown by recommendation. Had the Joe Frazier as well; the combination of avocado, veggie patty, and tomato jam created a truly unique flavour. And I was impressed by the mix of regular and yam fries. I sat at the bar. Alicia was both friendly and sassy, tying together the whole experience and making this a highlight to my visit in Fremont. read more

I had to return my beer because it was spoiled. They were polite, but they didn't seem to take my complaint seriously. I've been there 3 times and the other two, the beer was fine but lack-luster. The food is ok but fairly greasy. All in all, ok, but neither the food nor the beer will have me coming back when there are far superior options for both in the town down the road. Divine food. I was starving, and normally, burgers fail to hit me in just the right spot, leaving me disappointed and unsatisfied. Not this place. I ordered The Punisher. All I can say is holy moly. It certainly punished my hunger, with culinary bliss reminiscent of Grampa's back yard BBQ. A burger AND sausage patty sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches. Have to say probably in my top three burgers of all time. All their meat is ground and smoked in-house, and they use BRISKET in the mixture! Divine to say the least. The atmosphere is great and the view of the golf course is nice. It feels like it belongs in a larger city. The waitress was friendly and very helpful/knowledgeable. We ordered the bruschetta and I'd highly recommend it -- the bread is nice and crispy and the cheese, tomato, and pesto were well proportioned. I was surprised that they serve beers from other breweries, but I tried the shady lane and the brown, which are made there, and I'd definitely order them again. My boyfriend doesn't love beer, so he appreciated the beer mixed drinks. The hurricane mix is made in house and was very tasty. read more

Decent little place although I wish someone would have told us it was happy hour. We could have gotten 3 pints of beer for LESS than they charged us for a flight of 4 beers. A great little place near Fremont with a nice decor inside and out. I had the Incapacitated Ale - a lower IBU pale ale and the Der Kegler a German style Pilsner. The ale was OK and the Pilsner is great. My wife had the salted caramel porter with desert and that was also fantastic. The service was quick and out server was great with our two daughters. They have pub style food highlighted with several specialty brats with unique toppings. Was only disappointed that they did not have their carry out available on their beer - we wanted to take the Pilsner and Porter home! They did say the take out issue would be solved soon. We're from Chicago area but were in MI so we looked up breweries in the area to check out. Definitely a hidden gem!! We each had a flight and the favorite was the shady lane (witbier). Such a great space! A warm and inviting decorum, and the food is good too. I split the Joe Frazier burger and the Bernie Mac burger with my friend, and it was delicious and filling. I did not have beer, but the friends I was with responded positively to the flights they got (at such a great deal too!!). I travel all over the country for work, and I've sampled food from every place we have gone. This place is definitely one worth stopping through if you're ever in Fremont. read more

This used to be Brew works, the sign still says brew works but new owners call it the commons. We loved the food before the new owner changed the menue, we had five of us in our group and we all ordered different meals. The food was horrible and four of us didn't eat but a couple bites. We're not picky eaters, we were starving and we all complained for days. Let's not forget we paid $80.00 bucks for the worst food ever. Don't go! I would rather eat at Mcdonalds. Stopped here friday evening around 9pm for a late dinner. NOT impressed walked in to seat your self witch is fine took 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge we had walked in. There was 1 server for indoors and outside a girl that was half bussing tables and half waiting them 3 bartenders and 2 what appeared to be employees of some sort they came out of the kitchen sitting at the bar helping them selfs to drinks. Mind you it was not extremely busy there was 4 tables outside 2 including us inside and it took 15 min to even get water? My wife orderd the house sangria they where out and apparently not making anymore for the night kinda bummed. Food was ok nothing I would rave about but it was a meal a little cold because again only 1 server. This is the second time we have been in here and it is about the same every time. Slow service and so so food. Don't be in a rush to go anywhere else if you stop here cause you will be late. Omg. We loved, loved our food here! We were just passing through town and saw this gem. We started with the sausage dip and it was out of this world. Spicy but delicious. We also shared the sun dried tomato bruschetta which was good but it was hard to compare to the amazingness of the sausage dip.
