Second time eating at this establishment. 6:30pm on a Wednesday evening place was half full. Wanting to try a variety of things. I ordered a glass of Sighesio Zinfandel $12, the 8 oz sirlion steak, added creamy sauted mushrooms $4, two sides chosed side salad with blue cheese dressing and parmeson potato au gratin $2.50, and bread with butter $1.50. The side salad looked small, but turned out to be the perfect portion. The steak was cooked the perfect medium rare, nice cut of meat and very tasty. The creamy sauted mushrooms were very flavorful and a nice addition with the steak. The parmesan potato augratin was a wedge shape side with a lot of very thin layers of potato, very compressed. I mentioned my birthday, and could choose a complimentary dessert. There were so many options that i narrowed done to key lime pie, Strawberry cheesecake or creme brulee...opted for the creme brulee. Servd in the perfect size ramekin dish with crispy top. Will be back! read more

We dined on a very busy Friday night. I think there was some miscommunication between the hostess and the waitress. We were seated right away, but we waited for someone to come around for about 15 minutes. To be fair- we were in the back and kind of blocked from view. The waitress finally came and was super apologetic- and promptly took our orders. She came back with a complimentary order of chips and dip for our inconvenience. Someone, who I assume is in charge, came and apologized as well. Our food came out promptly and, WOW, it was amazing. The presentation was beautiful and the food itself was delicious. Waitress came back to check on us as did the woman in charge, still apologizing. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars, as the service was top notch. Things happen- they went above and beyond to make it right, We will definitely be back! read more

Lakes 23 has become our new go to restaurant for a nice dinner out. The food is consistently good and the staff is competent and friendly. There aren't many options in the area and we're glad we've found a restaurant that is new to us. Updated, July '21 The restaurant has changed hands. The outdoor seating is nice, however you can't order from the regular restaurant menu when seated outside, so you're limited to pizza, a burger, sandwiches or a salad. This food is served on a paper plate with plastic utensils, and wine comes in a plastic cup. I was so disappointed after waiting for them to reopen, get their outdoor liquor license, and work out opening kinks. The experience is nothing like it was before. It's too bad, as there are no nice restaurants in the area now. The salad I had was underwhelming, my husband's burger was just ok, my wine was warm. If we could order from the main menu and have food served on actual plates we'd try it again. It's lost it's appeal for now. read more

Just purchased a cottage in the area and decided to give this place a go for date night. It's at the local golf course very close to our place. My food was awesome! My husbands was decent. I got the dried cherry salad and French onion soup, my husband got the beet salad with the same soup. We also split spinach and artichoke dip and had two drinks a person. The margaritas were very well priced and soooooo good. I can't wait to come back for more. My husband's beet salad was more like a salad with two slices of beets on the side. I think i would definitely have more beets in a beet salad to qualify it as such. The atmosphere was very nice and trendy. I would like to offer two tips. 1- the windows to the golf course REALLY need a good cleaning from the outside. Why spoil such a great view with a dirty view? Also, there were fruit flys everywhere. My husband was swatting at them through out the dinner. We will definitely be back. read more

Excitement turned to disappointment early this evening. After being seated for dinner in the lovely garden room, we waited much longer than usual for someone to stop at the table welcome our party. The young lady finally arrived to ask us if we needed anything. Indeed ..... we do. Our server seemed to be very green and, as the entire staff to this point seemed to be help from the local high school. Finally an adult stopped by the table toward the end of our meal. A creepy dude with a hat on. He seemed to be a caring manager type til he asked us how things were and he didn't like the answer. Overpriced, average food, horrible and embarrassing service. A hidden gem in Fremont and a must for vacationers to the area. The location is delightful and the food was spectacular. From BBQ to local trout, we were all impressed. The owner was dining there and made a point to check in with the customers. A nice touch. Excellent service as well. read more

Made online reservatio did not get confirmation. No big deal called Wednesday and talked to a lady set it up for 6pm on Sat with a window seat for anniversary. Showed up and not taking people for some fundraiser going on. Messed up anniversary dinner. Some guy named Aaron tried to help but damage was done wife was upset and I was mad!! read more

The food is from just okay to good, sometimes, very good. The atmosphere is very nice, except for an area with overhead light rings that are disturbing, which is why we stopped sitting in that area. The wait staff is always very good. A place that nice, located so well aught to consistently have very good food. We stopped going there. Too bad. My wife and I have been here three times. The first time was last summer, it was a good experience. Second time was in the Fall, not as good but still okay. Third and last time was this spring, not good at all. Server was okay but never came back to ask about our food or drinks. Then to top it off, my wife and son both got sick the next day. Sooooo, here I go again. First off, you need to stop many many times. The food is that good. My lovely bride said it was my fault for every once she was overweight. But I have got to tell you the food was great and with every minute I spent in the dog house because I forced the tiramisu on her. The chef is outstanding. It was perfect ending an outstanding dinner. Which included seared salmon, friend perch and gumbo soup. Kristi was great. The service was perfect. The GM even stopped by. Very disappointing. Service non-existent, food, average at best. Only saw two adults working, everyone else was very young, inexperienced and apathetic toward the job. Went there for dinner after being out for covid. Good service . I had brisket quesadilla, excellent and hot. Wife had the pulled pork sandwich, and a nice salad. We'll be back. Nice decorations. We like the booths, allows us space because we are still careful with covid. read more

The best place to go in Fremont for a fancier dinner. We wanted to try every thing on the menu! We started out with the poutine and it was so good. We even had a man stop at our table and ask what it was - and then he ordered it!! Everyone is super friendly and the restaurant was clean. My only bad thing to say is my husband ordered a Bloody Mary, paid $10 for it, and felt like he was drinking straight tomato juice. read more

Waste of time and money. Food arrived, but no eating utensils. By the time we received the necessary hardware, the food was luke warm at best. I had the Prime Rib that was at least 1/3 fat and not very tasty. The servers could have been better since we had a party of at least 12. The dining area was exceptionally loud and Noisy. Have been here several times since the new owners took over. Service is always top-notch. Food is always tasty and well prepared. Beer is always cold and fresh. Atmosphere and views are great. One or both of the owners usually stop by your table and let you know how much they appreciate you dining with them. I could go on and on. Definitely recommend this place. read more

We stopped at the pub/bar area to have a drink and an appetizer while waiting for several friends who were meeting us there. Since the "19th Hole" at a golf course is typically "first come, first served", we decided to sit at an empty table that would have enough seating for everyone. Just then we heard somebody very firmly and loudly repeating "Excuse me". I turned to find the owner of the establishment rushing towards me, stating that table was reserved, even though there was no sign on it stating as such, and directing us to sit at one of the tall but small pub tables which only seat four. Having virtually every patron in the place stare at us like we were "dine and dashers "during this incident was humiliating enough, but the icing on the cake was when the hostess got involved and said I was causing trouble. Perhaps she thought it funny; it wasn't. That is not how a quality establishment treats their patrons., I'll never go back there again read more
