I ate at this gas station's in-house cafe, known as The Grill, for lunch today. I had heard that the burritos are good, but when I saw the lunch combo of a 1/3 lb. green chile cheeseburger with chips and a soda for $5.99, I was compelled. Yes, I've been trying to eat clean, but my options today were limited. On the plus side, I got to create a drink through the freestyle machine, which always makes my day. The wait was about ten minutes, which I spent sitting on the pavement outside in the shade. When I got my food, I walked back to the office, sat down, and unwrapped my sandwich. It looked great, lettuce sticking out under the bun, cheese melted to the wrapper. The vegetables appeared to be fresh, so without hesitation, I took a bite. The lettuce and onions crunched satisfyingly. The burger patty, thick indeed, had been cooked to well done, which I approve of for the consumption of gas station meat. The tomato was juicy, while the cheese and green chile took a more subtle route. I wolfed the burger down, pausing only to wipe oil off my hands. Generally I wouldn't write a review of food I purchased from a Shell station, but in this case I felt moved by the quality and taste of my meal. The price was also fair. If I find myself on lunch break without a car again, The Grill may be my first choice. read more

Utterly miserable shithole. Weak, WEAK customer "service". Crazy beeyotch cashier refused to serve me with my valid, current Air Force ID. EVERY SINGLE PRICE for beer and liquor is marked wrong - by at least $0.50 or even a dollar under, which violates New Mexico law. "Oh, that's corporate, we can't adjust prices." The pump islands were nice and brightly lit. Getting in and out was easy enough, and they have propane and ice. The convenience store is pretty small though, and everything inside is overpriced. read more

They won't let anyone use the bathroom. They always say it's closed when it is not out of order or anything they just don't want you to use it. It's a PIBLIC restroom for customers but they have now refused multiple times- always have a reason. Lame. Not going here anymore. read more

Suzette is rude as hell. This isn't the first time she's been rude with me either. I got some candy and a pack of cigarettes this morning and was having issues with my card so I asked her to put the cigarettes back so I could just keep the candy. She started huffing all mad and threw the cigarettes on the other side of the counter super passive aggressively. I told her I was sorry and I didn't realize doing that would be a hassle but she ignored me and kept huffing while tapping super hard on her screen. I was still having difficulties with my card and I apologized again and she grabbed the candy and tossed those too. I went to walk out the door when she told the costumer behind me "sorry her card kept getting declined" as if that was any of their freaking business so thanks Suzette for embarrassing me after being rude as hell this morning.
