I hate to write this review, but i am compelled.. Techs- Incompetent- see pics- left a plastic bag and a rag under the hood after AND did not tighten my skid plate. caused bolts to come out...it was a simple oil change Sales staff- laaaaacking communication and trying to problem solve by sending "my guy" to auto zone for an OE bolt for my Raptor R. then promise me Monday...no wait 2-3 days...now after 6 they tell me monday... nah homie. Owner-NO INTEGRITY. didn't apologize or take responsibility. Instead he wanted to "sever the relationship". we ain't dating! FIX THE PROBLEM. He would rather refund me more money than reimburse me for the bolts i got from the dealer down the road. The worst. I brought the car in for an ignition problem which they said was easily fixed. After replacing all the ignition parts they told me that the computer was fried and I should just sell the car for parts as Honda no longer made the part necessary. After a $1500 bill. I brought the car into another mechanic who had the car up and running in a little over an hour. This mechanic said the mechanic at Amigo Tire and Auto made the car think it was being stolen and so shut everything down which is why Amigo tire was unable connect to the computer. Additionally, he said the ignition problem was common with the Honda Fit and that the ignition parts were easily rebuilt and that Amigo Tire replaced the ignition parts unnecessarily. At best Amigo Tire's mechanic is either completely uninformed about the task he took on or the establishment is completely unscrupulous. I believe its both. read more

I had a pulley situation with my car. Over the course of two days unnecessary repairs were made and my car was not in working order. This cost five hundred dollars. After doing another assessment, they gave me an estimate of sixteen hundred dollars. They told me that even though a precise repair was possible they would not make the repair without doing all other repairs they deemed necessary. These were not necessary repairs. I had to have my car towed to another shop where the repair was made for six hundred dollars. Watch out for the front office, the person up front, first of all is extraordinarily rude and she will try to bilk you out of as much money as possible. Also, I was told that my fluids were topped up. They weren't. I had to stop by the shop across the street a few days later because my radiator was overheating. It just needed fluid. read more

Amigo Tire Not Friendly We have been long-time loyal customers of Amigo Tire in Santa Fe until February 2022 when they botched a tune up and then couldn't get our Jeep Cherokee running again. After two weeks in the shop they told us that It had to be towed to a salvage yard, meaning it was now undrivable and useless. Instead, we opted to tow it to another shop in town which got the Jeep running again. This shop diagnosed that the problem was caused by installing the wrong spark plugs and wires improperly, hence causing an explosion, rendering the Jeep inoperable. This "repair" to fix Amigo's work cost us nearly $4000! STill. al ot cheaper than finding a replacement during the Pandemic. Amigo will tell you in their responses to complaints that they strive to make things right. Well, after sending two letters: one hand-delivered along with the damaged parts for their inspection, and another delivered by certified mail, and then a letter and follow up phone call from our lawyer, we got no response! So much for "striving to make things right." Evidently, not engaging long-time loyal customers who would like to come to an amenable agreement on sharing costs incurred by their negligence or lack of training, is not part of the Amigo business model. We support all kinds of small and local businesses in Santa Fe. One might say we are "tired" of their non-response, and "wheel" take our three cars elsewhere! We advise you to do the same. read more

Lied about how they are 'always transparent' with the extra credit card FEE they charge. Caught them attempting to 'scam in telling me ((hey it seemed it doesn't matter if your female or male or even a mechanic yourself -- they'll try to pull one over on you)) ... that I needed new brakes ~ front & back,, when they had already done a brake job #8 months prior. While visiting Santa Fe, thieves tried to steal our catalytic converter. They were not successful . However they did a lot of damage to our exhaust system. We went to Amigo Tire and Auto and they took us in and repaired our car. We really appreciated the quick respond we were given. The car was fixed in a little over an hour. The charge for the work was extremely reasonable also. We were so lucky to have found this place. We are very very grateful for the excellent service they gave us. read more

I arrived at 4:40 with a completely flat tire while it was raining out and I was not about to change a tire when I could just go to a tire shop which advertises that is open til 5pm. The one helpful employee there politely asked me to park the car so he could check tire pressure to determine if the tire had any air it it. It did not. He politely asked me to go inside and inform the guy inside. There, I was met by a sullen, not very happy to be there young man who told me that the shop was closing in 20 minutes and that they were an hour behind on flat tires. Having no choice I was prepared to wait until the job could be done. Instead, the sullen, not very happy to be there young man informed me that my wait would be "until tomorrow." Distressed and emphatically l, I said, "but this is a tire shop. I have a flat." To which he replied, "sorry, have a good night." I made my exit stating "One Star review!" On my way out. If there was Zero Stars, I'd give zero MINUS. No offer of help or solution. No going an extra mile. No taking business as advertised until 5pm. No consideration for the fact that it was raining, late in the day and that my safety might be of concern. No smiles. No thank Yous. I'll never return here again. And as a lifelong Santa Fe business owner and professional networker, I will Be sending a lot of business away from this tire store and it's inconsiderate ethic. Now I know why they're rarely busy. I got my tires changed from this place. They were reasonable on the phone, but as I got to the location, the situation was different. The employees (got to deal with 2) on the front desk seems a little disoriented - there was no handoff between them. A chap sitting on the side desk (assumingly the owner or manager) didn't bother to guide them. Rather, he'd rattle off comments when he absolutely 'had' to. As they finally got done with the replacing tires, the 2nd employee hesitantly communicates that there will be a 3% charge for credit card payment. I didn't see any such thing posted on the walls of the location that indicated so. When I asked why, he goes that the company recently instituted it. Reading between the lines - this shop re-did their contract to a cheaper contract. A as a result, they're fine with the credit card company now charging 3% per swipe - which - Amigo tires simply passes on the unsuspecting customer. How sweet. I offered to pay via PayPal. The owner/manager came back to life to complain in a surly tone that he doesn't know how to run PayPal by his register. Poor customer service epitomized. read more

All-time worst customer service experience of my life! If you want to be screamed at on the phone by your mechanic, take your car to Emmett at Amigo. Amigo made absolutely NO attempt to try to resolve our problem- that after more than $1000 of repairs, our car is still not drivable. Emmett only wanted to blame us, even when I called to have a calm, respectful conversation about how to resolve the problem. Since our car isn't working, I'd say they're not very good at fixing cars, and now that I've spoken to Emmett on the phone, I'd say there's some serious anger issues at Amigo. read more

So I took my vehicle into Amigo Tire afterpay $909 ended up paying an extra 200 and change for another installation so they said I had two installations on my car I get on the highway the other day after paying over $1,100 and my car is shaking viciously they didn't tighten any lug nuts on my car AAA was twisting them off with their fingers then they scuffed $1,800 rims with their impact drill the Better Business Bureau or somebody needs to hear about this and somebody needs to pay for this I will not go there because they will just blow you off I highly recommend do not ever go there and if you do make sure you bring an extra couple hundred dollars because they charge you for even pulling your car in the garage most horrible experience ever read more

Eban, the owner, has a large operation to run. It's a tight space with little parking in front, and the waiting room is small. It's just not a relaxed place and comes across in the energy there. And just so you know, you pay a premium for tires (and service). Not that I don't believe in supporting local businesses, but being more competitive with the big guys would help. read more

These people are crooks. I took in my car to get a new set of tires before leaving town. While the new tires were being put on, the owner came out and told me the front struts were in bad shape and needed to be replaced or they would affect my steering. He said the cost would be about $500. I told him I would have to send him the payment from Arizona in a couple of weeks, which he said was fine. As it happened, my car broke down just as I arrived in Phoenix and had to be towed to a repair shop. It needed major work. I said to the mechanic, who was working on the car, "Well, at least it has new struts." His response was, "What do you mean? These struts are old and look original." I was shocked and furious. Absolute most dishonest business I have dealt with. I brought in 4 VW tires and wheels off the car to be balanced. They charged me for removing wheels, checking brakes, balancing wheels and reinstalling wheels and torquing lug nuts. How could they do all of this without the car? When I asked them about this the owner told me that they had special trained mechancs and he would not give me any money back for the work they did not do. There was a slow leak in the tire of my vehicle. Brought in the car, thinking they would not service something minor like this. Manager was very nice, measure the tread on all tires, etc. Took about 90 minutes as there were others in front of me. When the car was done, I went for the bill. They removed a nail, put int a patch, and it was free. No charge. Wow. (tipped the attendant a few $$, of course). What more can you say? Good people - I recommend them. read more

After blowing a tire late one night and needing to be at work early the next morning I dropped in hoping they would be able to fit me in. Eben was great, he took the time to ask about the type of driving I did, suggested several tires with explanation as to value. They also checked my car and gave me an estimate on additional work that is needed suggesting I run their estimate by Mike's Subabru, my regular mechanic. While my tires were being put on I had a fascinating coversation with Eben. Never had so much getting my car worked on before! This is by far the WORST tire place in Santa Fe. To make a long story short Amigo tire put the wrong size tires on our vehicle. Two in the front were one size and two in the back were a completely different size. Come to find out neither were the correct size for our vehicle!!! The only way we found out is when our driveshaft and AWD unit went out on our vehicle causing $2500.00 worth of damage. The dealership asked us if we realized that we had the wrong tires on our vehicle... we of course were horrified and notified Amigo ASAP. To my surprise the owner, Eben, refused to compensate us for their negligence and damage. I would warn anyone in Santa Fe who is a customer to check to make sure the correct tires were put on their vehicle. This place is only out to rip people off to pay for their new building. read more

I am very pleased with the service I have gotten from Amigo. They made me a great offer (after rebates) for new tires on my Subaru in 2015, and they have provided great follow-up service since then for low tire pressure, leaks, and rotations at no cost. It is great to have someone stand behind their products like that. ZERO stars is what I want to rate. Avoid this place at all cost!!! I had an experience with negligent work, causing damage to my car. They attempted to "fix" it twice both times failing to do it correctly, either willfully or out of incompetence.
