We live near a facility and assumed that our little guy would go there - but when we did our visit, it was just ok. Now what? A good friend sends her children to The Gardner School of Oak Brook and recommended the Naperville location to me. When we checked the school out, I cried over how much I loved it (and I'm not a crier - I'm super pale and get very blotchy; it's not cute). We signed him up immediately and have been happy with that decision ever since. First, the location is easily accessible from a variety of locations - we are in downtown Naperville, but have friends who are in Aurora, Sugar Grove, Wheaton, etc. The facility is secure and requires two passcodes before entering the main area. It's also extremely clean - I wish my house was that clean... :) But the most important part of TGS is the care and attention that the teachers and directors give the kids. My son started TGS when he was almost four months old, and even though I knew the school was wonderful, it was still scary to leave him for a full day. The teachers and directors are patient, kind, and caring - both with the students and the parents! They are always available for any questions and concerns throughout the day, and I definitely checked in a lot during those first few weeks of school. They are also available for advice - as a first-time parent, I had no idea when to transition my son to the next diaper size or how to introduce solid foods. The teachers helped us with everything, and have made parenting so much easier. TGS has an app that delivers updates throughout the day. I subscribe to all the updates, so I receive notifications when my son eats, has a diaper change, takes a nap, or does any of the fun activities that the teachers prepare for the kids. We also receive pictures during the day, and we love seeing our little guy having fun with his friends. Our two years at the school have been wonderful, and we plan to keep him at TGS until they kick us out :) Seeing our son make friends and learn so much every day has been more than worth the cost to attend, and we could not be happier with the school!

Did not greet with a smile, when touring the infant room she told me there were 1 teacher per 4 students. There was 5 kids in there with no other teacher or helper. She was just not welcoming at all. Megan called me the day prior said that she will be doing the tour and wanted to chat after the tour about the position I applied for. Megan did not once greet me when walking in, only when I was going to the front to leave then she wanted to say hi and that's it. When Natalie was asking for clarification, Megan gets up and said yes that's it and goes back into the office. We did not have a chat after. For 2500$ a MONTH. I have been taking my oldest son here for 2 and a half years and our youngest, who is now 6 months old, has been enrolled since 12 weeks. This center is beyond clean, BEYOND friendly and the teachers have taught my kiddos more than I ever could. They send me pictures, videos and potty updates all day long! During this COVID19 pandemic, this center was deemed essential. We are more than grateful and proud of the safety precautions they have taken to ensure our boys are safe and sound and HAPPY. If I can't have the boys home with me, there is no other place I would want them to be than in the care of these talented and loving individuals. To me, they are our family. The misinformation and negativity on these review sites by various reviewers blows my mind…read moresometimes. This is the only daycare my daughter and son have been to in their entire lives. My daughter is 6 and my son is 4. The teachers at this KinderCare have taken care of them since they were about 6-8 weeks old and have done a great job. My kids love going here and look forward to going, and they are always in a good mood when I pick them up. The educational opportunities here are really great. Both my kids went through the phonics program which helped tremendously. They have done the cooking classes, the science classes, the music classes. There are so many. My kids have had a very stable group of teachers to work with at the facility. One thing that is so great is the public school bus at the nearby elementary school picks up and drops off at this KinderCare. Talk about convenient. And it is nice that my daughter rides the same school bus as the rest of the kids. The directors of this center have a tough job dealing with emotional parents and parents that are slow to pay their tuition for which they have to continually follow up with. We visited 4-5 daycare facilities before settling on this one. We also tried a nanny for a month before deciding that wasn't a fit for us. HANDS DOWN we are very happy we chose this KinderCare for our kids. Not all daycare centers are built the same, and this one is special with great people in it that will take good care of your child.

We had a rough patch last summer where our daughter was acting out, but they continued to work with her, as we did and everything has been fine ever since. We are notified if there is ever an altercation and have to sign documentation for their records. Their rates are very reasonable too! This is definitely a no frills establishment - there is no phone app with pictures of their day, we don't get weekly food menus and the curriculum (instead they just display them by the children's cubicles). They do post photos of special events on facebook, so I appreciate being able to see those fun pics!

This is why my child is 4 years old and not completely potty-trained! The KinderCare just up the street understands this issue... And never blamed my child for any neglect because they didn't neglect him. Great Beginnings did. I have never brought my child there with a rash! He had a wound on his leg because this daycare did not change him for however long! So the audacity of the owner trying to shift the blame on my child not being potty trained is absolutely ridiculous... Considering he's been in several other daycares where this has not been an issue, I know where the blame lies. So we can go back and forth on this issue until we make it to court! Because I still have the pictures the day it happened. And that's the exact day I told these people my son would no longer attend this daycare! I just so happen to take him home and find the wound after. He had been giving me signals of abuse previously that I didn't understand until I found this wound. My child can't speak for himself , so I have to be the one to do so. This daycare knows that my son was unable to speak for himself... Which gave them license to neglect him! KinderCare down the street and NEVER neglected him. Or tried to blame him for his delays in speech and development! How dare you! You should be ashamed of yourself. So this place doesn't like to employee people with actual credentials that want to help children. I think this is a place where people pass through when they realize their skills are better utilized to actually help children..., rather than neglect them for time management purposes. It's a good thing I took my child out of there! I would never step foot in this place again! So much so that I have to send my own posted envelope to get a tax document that could easily be uploaded, or sent in the mail. My daughter is in the preschool room currently with Miss Shilbee and she is always so excited to tell me about her days when I pick her up. we can really see how much education is built into the activities the kids do, and it's always made to be fun. I've been so happy to see my daughter develop her writing and cuttings skills, as well as develop a lot of confidence in school with the guidance of Miss Shilbee. She provides excellent communication with us as parents too, and I know my daughter just loves being in her room. We also have a son there in the toddler room. When he was first enrolled at just 3 months old I always felt so comfortable leaving him in the care of Miss Linda and Miss Melanie, and really like the way they divide up the very young infants and more moving/walking infants into two separate rooms. It is always nerve wracking to go back to work after the postpartum period, but seeing my son snuggled up in Karen or his teachers arms comfortable and happy made it a much easier transition during that time. he is now in the toddler room and has been doing so well, today he didn't even want to leave when I came to pick him up. my son loves the entire staff there and always has to stop by the director Miss Karen's office to wave "hi" and "bye" when we come and go. overall, I can honestly say we highly recommend this daycare to anyone

I sent my oldest to a couple other centers and within 2 weeks I NEVER saw the same teacher! We were OUT! The moment I walked into KinderCare I was so WELCOME, at EASE, and AMAZED at the excitement the kids had! The director even asked my son if he wanted to go visit the age group he would be in (4's at the time) and he hung out in there while we talked! The kids are happy, the place is so clean, and I am ALWAYS greeted by multiple staff members (and I know ALL OF THEM!) I honestly wouldn't trust my kids with anyone else! I have never had a problem go unaddressed! I've had two kids go through the baby room and I've NEVER experienced a problem with the teachers or director, accidents do happen, but my kids get hurt at home too, no bubble wrapping my kids, they've got to learn!

We were referred to this place from a friend who also had kids there, and assumed Our first time with a daycare will go smoothly. I DO NOT recommend taking Your child here. The first day (and only day) we dropped off our 13 month old there, we were told that he did not sleep, and had a fever...AFTER his mother had picked him up. We noticed that he had a bruise on his head as well, and only after pressing them for more information they told us that he was banging his head on the crib. Few things to point out- In their own policies, if the child gets hurt in anyway they will contact the parents. My gf was told when she picked him up. The pictures they send throughout the day shows that he got the bruise HOURS before she showed up. Next is the fact that he developed a fever and they STILL did not notify us until he was picked up. And finally, after probing them for the policy violations they committed they admitted that it was a mistake on their part and they should have notified us IMMEDIATELY. I cannot convey my anger enough in this review because after we took him home so he could finally sleep and tend to his fever, he had a fibril seizure and was transported to the hospital. He was at Kindercare for 6 hours...and everything I was worried about having random people taking care of my child was validated. So to sum it all up, on the FIRST DAY our child: -could not be put to sleep -was neglected long enough for him to bang his head against a crib to develop a bruise on his head -developed a fever which the parents were not told until he was picked up. Like I said they admitted they did not follow their own policy so we received a full refund for the week, because we were NEVER coming back. On a side note he is doing better at a different daycare, obviously better taken care of than at this place. So if you're looking for a place for your infant, like another reviewer said on here DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE.
