However, his teachers, head teachers, and management (Ms Colleen and Ms Jess) quickly worked together to figure out how to support him and took action right away. Thanks to their support, he now loves going to school and is learning so many new words. We're very happy!

My daughter is now 6 and returned just for summer on certain days and I can't get over how much unpleasantness you feel just from walking in here. The teacher also seems to be extremely sarcastic about anything with these school age kids room. I'm honestly going to reach out to their corporate because they have just declined and this was a daycare I raved about for years and sent many families too. I sent my one year old son here for about a month before withdrawing him because I did not feel he…read morewas being cared for appropriately. First off, there is no communication here. If I wanted any information from the director or the teachers I needed to ask for it, and I often got different responses depending on who I asked. It felt like the teachers relied on the "Tadpoles" app as a crutch so that they did not have to talk to us. Moreover, I was upset at the number of injuries and incidents my son experienced here compared to his placement at another center. His very first day after attending, he came home with horrible diaper rash with open sores. The teachers tried to make excuses for this by saying it may have been because they were serving him fruit. This is ridiculous to me because we had been serving him fruit at home for almost a year at that point. He was constantly sick and had so many bruises, scrapes and bite marks from "incidents" that I was afraid his pediatrician would think he was being abused. It culminated in an incident where he had a febrile seizure in the classroom and the teachers claimed that they had no idea what caused the seizure or if it could have been prevented. They sent him to the ER where his temperature was found to be 102.7. They claimed someone had been holding him when it happened, so how could they not have known that he had a fever? We had also previously told them that he has a history of febrile seizures. As childcare professionals they should have known the signs of a fever and been able to contact us or administer Tylenol to him before the seizure happened. All in all I did not feel safe sending my son here, and I think the teachers and director did not do a good job either communicating or making sure my child was appropriately cared for. I am writing this not to hurt their business but to make sure other parents are able to make an informed choice when it comes to who they trust with their child's care.

The care and attention given to each child was beyond what we saw in any other center and we visited approximately 10 different companies. As a new parent we were also looking for cleanliness, health & safety guidelines, and we couldn't have been happier with what we saw and learned during our visits. And let it be known, we made several visits as we continued to have new questions, and at no time did we feel like a burden to the staff. They gladly made time for us and answered each of our questions which only made our choice easier. To this day, the center has far exceeded our expectations and our child absolutely loves to go to school every day. I couldn't imagine taking our child anywhere else. Thank you!

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Mini Steps! As a former employee (director…read morequalified) of five years at KinderCare and an early education major, I held Mini Steps to high standards going in. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised to realize that I could drop my children off at a "non-chain" daycare and receive exceptional care at an affordable price. My youngest son started attending Mini Steps when he was only 10 weeks old. As a single mom, nothing was harder for me than leaving my newborn at daycare while I went to work every day. The quality of loving care and nurturing that he received on a daily basis from Ms. Marie and Ms. Jan was beyond any of my expectations. I quickly felt at ease leaving my newborn at Mini Steps in the loving and capable hands of the staff there. As my newborn grew and moved up to the toddler room, the transition was so easy and natural because he was already so comfortable and attached to Ms. Jan. From the toddler room he moved on to the 2s room with Ms. Sarah and again, I have nothing but amazing things to say. Ms. Sarah loved my son as she loved her own, and I knew that he was in the best hands possible. In the 3s room with Ms. Robbin and the 4s room with Ms. Barbara my son grew into the adorable, stubborn, hard-headed, sweet, hilarious, and smart child that he is today. He loved going to school and playing with his friends, and I loved how much he was learning through play and not even realizing it! My oldest son was a schoolager when he started Mini Steps in first grade. We both love Ms. Kay and cannot say enough wonderful things about her! She is a teacher and friend to her students, which can sometimes be a hard combination, but it comes as second nature to Ms. Kay. Not only is she caring and compassionate, she is strict when she needs to be. I recently purchased a new home in a new school district and had no other choice but to remove my children from Mini Steps. I cried on their last day. How do you say "Thank You" to the amazing teachers who helped you raise your children for 5 years?? Words just don't seem like enough. Tracie and Moe, thank you for giving me peace of mind every single day for 5 years while I was away from my boys. Thank you to the entire staff of Mini Steps for loving my boys the way I do. I will forever be grateful. xoxo
