Unfortunately, they missed some mold, and I had to call them back to cut out more drywall. This was a big disappointment. I don't understand how it was missed. The missed mold was right up to the edge of the drywall, meaning the drywall they cut out would also have mold right up to the edge, and they are supposed to remove one foot past where the mold ends. I found it when I was putting insulation back in, and I could have easily missed it myself which could have led to the mold continuing to grow and having another big problem later.  Also, I was given a work authorization to sign, but with no written breakdown of what the work would actually entail: which parts of the house, the process to remove the mold, etc. I had to request this. All other mold mitigation companies I contacted gave me a quote with a very detailed written breakdown of the work to be performed. If you go with them, make sure you ask for the details of the work to be performed in writing and don't settle for just a verbal explanation of what they will do.

Then showed up 10 days later to grab their equipment and left. Charged my insurance company over $6,000 and once they got their money, I never heard from them again. For 3 months I left numerous voicemails which were never returned. I was initially told that they would be in touch with some proposals to replace the drywall, flooring, paint, etc. but never heard a single thing. So I was just left to scramble on my own and I am still attempting to find someone to finish putting my basement all back together and it has literally been over 4 months now. Live and learn I guess. I would have been better off renting a commercial shop vac and dehumidifiers and done it all myself and saved myself from being dropped by my insurance company. So very disappointing.

My basement was not nearly as bad as other people's, and I wanted help cleaning and with mold. They got back to me within a couple of days while I was on other companies' waitlists. They could have come out the same evening, but I had them wait until the next day which was more convenient. They came out, provided an estimate. I had questions, and I was able to say what I wanted done (eg. I didn't want the air purification for $1000 since my HVAC system has an air purification system in it that takes care of mold spores or the wall paint to protect from mold for $200 since I am already on a list to have my basement waterproofed in a month, and the walls are going to be dealt with). They were amenable to the changes. They were able to schedule me for the next day and do the work. They provided me with updates of the project. They took out more drywall than anticipated, but that's fine. I'll refinish the basement later. Garrett and Justin were both helpful. I recommend them. They listened, they were prompt, and I feel after talking with others in similar situations, the price was fair. They also did not demand insurance. I paid upfront.

Buyer beware - EFW is extremely disorganized and has a major lack communication! Our project…read moremanager acted like he had done this a million times over, told us to trust him and that he would take care of everything - So, that's what we did and boy did we learn our lesson. There were days when the workers wouldn't show up, alot of the work is super shotty and it took months to complete, despite a 6 week contract. They didn't patch before painting, so when I asked that they drop off the extra paint from the project so I could fix it, they told me they threw it out, but then someone else's half empty cans of paint ended up in my house. In one room, they even got paint all over the furniture. As far as the bathrooms, the tile work is beyond sloppy! There were times throughout the project that we'd get random calls that we were behind on payment and we NEVER ONCE were invoiced - How can I pay a bill that I never received? The PM would call and when we would respond stating the lack of invoice, he would simply state, "oh yeah I know, billing is behind"....um what? We immediately paid said invoices and life went on. Finally, once it was all complete and after not hearing from him/EFW for months we got slapped with a final bill even though we approved insurance to pay them directly. Turns out that the PM had NEVER submitted anything he was claiming to over to our insurance company so nothing got handled, no claims approvals, no final payouts were made to either party - we trusted them to handle the insurance part as their 'expertise'. The worst part was that we didn't even know this wasn't taken care of until some random lady reached out to us to collect - we never heard from the guy we were working with again... apparently he was just fired without ANY communication from EFW to us. This entire experience was an ABSOLUTE nightmare. It's our fault for "trusting" someone's word, so I take that blame, but the lack of service, customer care is sickening and I hope that someone else can learn from our mistake. This is YOUR home that these people will be in and I don't want anyone else to go through this. Run people. Run.

We had no clue that our compact washer and dryer were not properly installed and created moisture in that small room that resulted in mold on the ceiling. We got 2 quotes the first one from another company was high and had no details of what they were going to do. The 2nd quote from Emergency was thorough and they walked us through in detail what they needed to do and assured us the job would get done properly. Our contact Brian was awesome and he communicated to us and my realtor every step and made this experience as seamless as possible. They had two different teams manage the removal of the mold so that they would not expose it to the other rooms. These guys are awesome and do such a wonderful and professional job! I would highly recommend them to anyone with any damage to your home.

I don't know what they did (I wasn't there- my husband handled it and he isn't known for paying attention to such things), but I'm sure it involved witchcraft. It had to. Magic of some sort. Chanting, at the very least. My carpet is SPOTLESS. We're talking about a lake property that has seen kids walking in and out, in and out, in and out...mud, BBQ sauce, beer (from my husband, not the kids), you name it. There was a spot the size of a small mammal right smack in the middle of my hallway and I was ready to chuck the whole thing and buy a new house, but then these guys came in with their fancy whatnot and BAM! It's gone. I'm amazed. Overjoyed. Humbled. In all seriousness- they did a fantastic job. No harsh chemical scents, it dried fairly quickly, they were efficient and professional. I highly recommend them for carpet cleaning!

Response time to my inquiry was within minutes of my initial call, we set up an appointment time and Marcus and his crew showed up as expected and worked thoroughly and efficiently to help restore some very light-colored carpeting to look as good as it did the day it was installed. I added a very dirty and worn throw rug in an entry way that honestly, I had little hope for, but because of its cost and unusual size and shape, for the nominal charge quoted, I figured why not give it a try? So glad I did as that rug turned out looking as good as the rest of the carpeting!
