I was so sick that I didn't fully understand what was happening -- I was truly dying. Dr. Shashoua stepped in with the urgency, skill, and calm confidence that only an exceptional surgeon can bring. He performed the emergency operation that saved my life, and I will forever be grateful. After stabilizing me, he did something that shows how deeply he cares about his patients: he referred me to a far better fertility doctor because he knew I needed more specialized and attentive care than I had previously received. That referral changed everything for my fertility journey. A few months later, he performed my endometriosis excision surgery and removed my tubes. These were major, life-altering procedures, and he approached every decision with precision, empathy, and extraordinary expertise. I now see him regularly to monitor and manage my endometriosis and infertility, and he continues to provide the highest level of care. It is going to hurt them in the long run. The office was updated and lacks warmth. Bad job. Feels better waiting at the local meat counter. Speaking low toned and fast like they are put out. Especially when us older folks are interacting is not good. Doctor Vellos and Billmeyer. Please speak to the staff. If we sign a HIPPA, do not be irritated if we ask for a copy.

I had to drive to this office so that I could get a copy of a biopsy so that our insurance would approve the next scan. Got the scan done and now can't get those results. I will have to drive there again.

I stand by what I said in my earlier review. He is a wonderful man who provides amazing care to his patients. He is thoughtful, respectful and listens. This office staff is simply the worst! Horrible attitudes, unwilling to help in any way, and just…read morebad. I needed a referral to see Dr Unni and was told there almost a one month wait to just get a consult, and the procedure would be at least another month after that. I had to call my insurance provider 3x to resend the referrals because their staff would claim they didn't get it. Never offered to contact my carrier, never offered to call me back to let me know if they got it or not. Instead I was met with "there are 100's of faxes here. It's probably here somewhere." I called 2 days before my appointment and asked if they had it, was again told no, and again told it was probably there just not on the chart yet. I was given a reminder call the day before and again I asked if they had the referral and again told it wasn't on the chart but didn't mean it wasn't there. I show up to my appointment... no referral and now, no appointment! I wasted a big part of my day to be turned away. Had someone actually taken the time that morning to make sure that my referral wasn't there, someone could have called me to reschedule. I'll be contacting my insurance company again to find a new doctor.

(some guy with no medical degree) I told her I had irritated skin down there too and just prescribed some random ointment didn't even look or swab area to see if it was bacterial, fungal, or std. I wont be coming back again. I need to make another appointment somewhere else just for peace of mind. 2 stars because first experience was great.
