On camera acting. Every class is filmed so if you don't have an acting real, you will build one while you're training with Brian Cutler. It's no nonsense training for film and television. The techniques taught illustrate how to tell the truth, and trust your body in scenes that will feel real. I've been training with Brian for several months, and I can't recommend it enough. Best training in town.

Hands down the best studio I've ever been apart of. I've grown so much as an actor, learned more here than I can express, gained confidence, made great connections and Brian and his amazing team have helped me in so many ways I will forever be grateful to them! I have gotten my SAG card and joined the Agency Accelerator Program and I am confident I will land the management/agency of my dreams. Do yourself and your career a favor and join our family!

Brian Cutler Actors Studio is much more than an acting studio. I know because as a student I've grown like never before. Brian's taught me many things, including how to be still on camera, deliver lines conversationally, and to feel the fun and joy of acting. Brian's a veteran actor. He shares his lifetime of on camera acting experience, including how to audition and succeed in the business. His insights, lessons, and encouragement are unparalleled by any training I've experienced. This is a rare studio which teaches how to act on camera, be in the moment, actively listen, and solidly connect with the other actor(s) in a scene. The Acting Accelerator Program helps his students sign with wonderful agents, and managers, and keeps them on point for career success. There's a very good reason why Brian and his studio have been voted best acting studio in 2003 and 2004. Discover it for yourself and you'll experience the difference.

I really enjoyed how small and intimate the class sizes were. There was plenty of opportunities for individualized support, feedback, and redirection. I signed up for both the VO 1 & 2 classes. His classes were not only fun and incredibly informative but I also love the way he teaches. He delivers clear feedback in an encouraging way while also remaining open to your own interpretation of something. I like that he fosters your instinct as an artist and works with your point of view. It's a fine balance! When I learned he started an in-person Acting Technique class, I knew I had to give it a try. His VO classes are amazing so I figured this class would be too. I was right! I've been going for almost 6 months and I've learned so much. The class is so unique in that it touches upon several exercises and techniques to give you a well-rounded experience. There is scene work, yes, but that's just one of a number of things we work on. There are different improv exercises, character work assignments, mock-auditions, and scene work that is rehearsed and ultimately filmed. I can really see improvement when looking back at my earlier clips in class. I HIGHLY recommend checking out his classes, especially his Acting Technique class. David is a wonderful, encouraging teacher with a wealth of knowledge and the ability to give clear direction while fostering your own unique voice.

The students' preparation and commitment to their scenes is inspiring to witness and of course the teachers are phenomenal. The teachers hold space for actors and give you the tools through acting, administration and attitude to elevate you as an actor. The expectation of your work is greatness. To truly know yourself and the character, to go deep with your rehearsals. Most importantly they care for you to be a working professional actor, they will get you ready for the real world, by turning your dreams into action."

I audited and found out this studio was not for me (which is totally ok)!…read more Here's why: The instructions given about how to behave on set, audition, etc. I felt were dated based on my experiences with the industry in its current state, and some teachings gave off a "let's break you down" energy, which, personally, I have always found to be more distressing than helpful when performing. I think this class works for people who like long-form scene work and enjoy a strict approach to acting, but for me, the style of teaching ultimately felt too dated and unnecessarily straight-edge for a job that is often fun and not that serious (sometimes, we really are just playing Tree #3). It's also hard because art and acting are so subjective, and there really is no correct way of doing any of it :) I'm sure everyone that has been in this class for a long time is there for a reason, has gotten what they need out of it, and has found a great community within it. However, I found the class itself to be too serious and a touch ostentatious for my taste. Different strokes for different folks!

I also took Improv classes at the Groundlings which were VERY expensive. When I took classes at the Groundlings, it was very apparent that they basically anyone in the lower classes were just a number. They fill the lower level classes just to keep the money flowing. I found Actors Improv Studio through my agent. No it's not in the fanciest building or the best neighborhood. But that's not what you go to class for, and he usually has some licorice or candy that you can snack on during class. That definitely sweetens the deal. :) I took classes here for about a month. Bill was EXTREMELY helpful and it was very apparent that he cared about each student individually. He takes the time to critique and praise you after each exercise. He even videos during each class, and after some exercises you can watch your work. The best part of his classes was his encouraging nature. All I can really remember from taking classes at the Groundlings is all the rules they give of what you are not supposed to do. Bill presented the rules of Improv, but not in a way that makes an improvisor feel stifled and held back. I left his class feeling much more confident thanks to him. The only reason that I haven't been able to go back is b/c I can't afford the extra expense at this time. But I would recommend him to anyone who really wants to know what it takes to become a great Improvisor. Yes CDs and such are mildly impressed when they see the name of a big name Improv Studio on your resume. But that won't book and keep a job. You have to be able to deliver much more than that. Bill will help you get to a place where you can consistently deliver.

Improv intimidates me but when I audited the class, it all melted away and we just had fun. I especially appreciated the relaxed and natural manner in which the class unfolded. Bill was in tune with what every performer brought to the table, his feedback was constructive, and it was obvious to me just how much he enjoyed sharing his passion for improv to anyone willing to listen. As it turns out, it's fun to learn from someone who enjoys what they do. Audit the class and see for yourself.

The staff was organized, check-in was easy, and the hybrid format made the whole process painless (unlike some IV attempts I've witnessed in real life). What really impressed me was how efficient everything was. Once I passed my exam, they handed me my certificate the same day--no waiting, no chasing emails, no mysterious "processing time." Just boom. Certified. I wish everything in healthcare worked that fast. Now for the real highlight: Instructor Steele Erickson. Steele is the kind of nursing instructor you secretly hope for but never expect to get. He breaks down IV therapy and blood withdrawal with such clarity and patience that even tricky techniques suddenly feel manageable. He teaches with a calm, supportive energy that makes everyone relax. He's incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely invested in every student, and somehow keeps the class both educational and entertaining. As someone with 25+ years in healthcare, I can confidently say instructors like Steele do not grow on trees. If you're considering getting your IV Certification, go to Los Angeles Career College and hope you get Steele Erickson as your instructor. You'll walk away confident, competent, and wondering why every nursing class can't be this smooth. Highly recommended!

Life got in the way a couple of times during this portion of the class and I was able to talk to Mika and figure out a plan so that I wouldn't have to miss class. I also loved listening to her real life stories of working in nursing. The course I took was 5 weeks, 8 hours a day. The first two weeks were online. There is a lot of reading, a lot of quizzes, and several tests, but you get the hang of it quickly. The second week was practical where you learned the skills. I got pretty frustrated when I didn't get the skill right the first time, but the fact is that there are a lot of steps to the skills and these are brand new things that I'm learning. It all falls into place when you go into the clinical. You get to apply what you learned in class and in your practical learning. I especially loved my clinical rotations at the hospital. It gave me such a bigger perspective on the healthcare industry and patient care. I learned so much and discovered that I really liked working in ER. I look forward to applying everything I learned in my future career.
