So I rented a skid steer with smooth bucket, and harley rake. They did not recommend that I haul…read morethe equipment in my dump trailer, so they offered to deliver the equipment to the site..less than a mile away..for an addition $50 or so. Surprisingly the deposit fee was not part of the $820 rental fee, but no big deal; what's $1,409.02 when you're getting $600 back and you did not account for the extra cost. So an hour later the equipment shows up on site..We're just a little behind schedule. The Harley rake was used less than an hour, and a hydraulic line busted...can not confirm, but was advised it was due to barbwire caught in roller. The machine cut off and would not start back..found out the fuel gauge was broken and 1/4 is empty. They forgot to pick up the equipment, so I waited around for several hours and could not get anyone on the phone. Equipment sat in my customer's yard for 5 days. Today is almost 1 month since the equipment rental date, and they just returned $150 of the $600 deposit. $600 Deposit -$325 Smooth Bucket Corners Repaired -$75 cleaning fee for barbwire -$0 Skidsteer had a recall that caused arms to hit cab and not raise all the way. Total cost to rent skidsteer for the day $1,270 They were polite.
