We've had the pleasure of knowing Brian for many years now, but this was our first time engaging him as a professional. Brian is a kind, creative and thoughtful individual (with the appropriate splash of humor), and, much to the delight of my wife and I, he's managed to replicate all those admirable characteristics with his photography. We asked Brian to capture our little one at the Underwood Garden, next to the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture at the University of Arizona; a place we're intimately familiar with, though quite foreign to Brian. That said, he arrived early and gained a quick understanding of his environment and ultimately found the locations that best highlighted Alice and her interactions with her surroundings. He found, what we felt was, the perfect balance in engaging my wife and I, allowing us to voice our opinions and suggestions, while guiding us with his professional expertise. Whether we were encouraging our little one to smile, or interacting with her, we felt like we were very much a part of the process. His approach was one of collaboration, not imposition. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Brian. He took our son, Reed's, senior pictures and they turned out beautifully--better than we could have imagined. We have done a family shoot and senior pics with Brian. Both were incredible experiences, which resulted in tremendous pictures!! He is great to work with, as he is personable and makes everyone feel comfortable immediately. Shooting with him was so much fun for the entire family! Having family in Tucson means not getting enough time together & no photos. So living in Idaho, I did the only thing I could think of ... Check Yelp. Then, Brian's name came up, I sent the request & had a response within an hour. I knew we had our photographer. He was patient, kind and willing to drive a long distance just to help me out.
