I was looking for a Dentist closer now that I've moved. I'm a bit anxious when it comes to dental care and so far Dr. Brian Homann has made me feel comfortable he's very thorough and gentle. He's techniques and technology is up to date in his practice, very impressive. His hygienist are just as thorough. The front desk staff is very friendly and try their best to accommodate your scheduled and they even look out for you if they can get you in sooner too. There is so much to say that's great about my wonderful experience with Dr. Homann and staff but I'll keep it simple. Dr. Homann helped me achieve my perfect simile but it had to take over two years of care and attention to achieve it. Without his meticulous effort and skill 13 crowns where achieved. I look great! Last year during a routine dental visit, Dr. Homann noticed that I had a lump on the side of my neck. He suggested that I should go see an ENT doctor to rule out anything serious. A cat scan confirmed that I had tonsil cancer. This required that I had a neck dissection surgery, followed by chemo therapy/radiation therapy. It was a tough year! I am currently cancer free. I was just there on September 12th, and I had five fillings for cavities. The doctor and his staff treated me exceptionally well. I first began seeing Dr. Homann when I could walk to his office in five minutes. That was certainly convenient! It wasn't until receiving care from him that I realized I was using my electric toothbrush incorrectly. In case you are wondering, you do not use it like a regular toothbrush: No up and down motion; just let the toothbrush do the work. Anyway... I appreciated that he took this time to educate me and ultimately followed him out to the suburbs. Karen, Dr. Homann's secretary, is the definition of sweet. When this city girl called to make an appointment, she kindly explained to me the various routes I could take to get to the new office and didn't seem irritated in the slightest when I had to call her back to see when it was most realistic for me to get out there. Karen, and the rest of the staff, Dr. Homann included, remember details about my life, which I always appreciate. As other Yelpers mentioned, Dr. Homann took over an existing practice. He's slowly making renovations, and the space looks beautiful. Plus, I too love the camera he uses so that I can actually see what he's trying to explain to me. During my last appointment with him, I overheard a man come in with some serious pain. Dr. Homann squeezed him into his schedule, and the patient was beyond appreciative. Dr. Homann has been a wonderful dentist! My oral surgeon who removed my wisdom teeth made the recommendation stating he would trust him with his own dental care. Dr. Homann is very down to earth and takes the time to explain any recommendations for treatments and goes over your options, answering any questions along the way. His hygienist staff is fantastic and probably one of the best cleaning I've had in a while, my teeth looked and felt great. Dr. Homann is awesome!! When our long time (over 25 years!) dentist retired and Dr. Homann took us on, we were nervous and skeptical. We are so pleased! Even my normally negative children love him. He explains everything before he does it so no surprises, he's patient (I've got sensitivity issues) and all his equipment is state of the art, cutting edge technology. Another bonus? Dr. Homan is the best dentist I've ever been to. Most of my co-workers go to Dr. Homan and that's how I heard about him. I needed a lot of work on my teeth and I'm so glad I found such a great dentist. He explains everything to you and also is very upfront on all posibiltys that's can happen to the tooth he works on and also explains what you can expect after the dental work. He's also very friendly and everyone at the office makes you feel comfortable. Karen and Sandra in the front office are wonderful as well. They also have wonderful dental hygienist. My insurance is not in network with Dr. Homan but it's well worth the extra money to still go to the best! read more

Dr. Homann's practice is very clean and up to date. His practice also has televisions to watch when you are getting your teeth cleaned or any other work done which is awesome!!! The chairs are very comfortable and the staff is very polite. Dr. Homann is also a very knowledgeable dentist with the ability to make every patient feel calm and comfortable no matter what the situation. He also has done volunteer work for the homeless donating his time and resources to help the less fortunate, if that doesn't let you know what kind of practice this is I don't know what will.
