And seeing/speaking with his patients, i.e. YOU, teaching/educating (for no $) all while being an amazing husband, and father. He is at a dead run all of the time! He's open-minded, kind, caring and Beyond compassionate! When you "rate/ judge" another human being based on what other people may be doing, you are playing with their lives/careers so be very mindful. Could staff use a little shaping and molding? Dr. Lipman does not care about his front office staff's inability to give correct information or stay professional. Its absolutely mind blowing how this practice is still in business with his office manager Christy or however her name is spelled. Christy is disgraceful, incompetent, and 100% not professional. She needs to find a new line of work if she doesn't know how to read what tests were ordered. Absolutely PATHETIC to be the office manager and not know what was or was not ordered. If you value your time and/or your sanity AVOID this practice at all cost! Christy lied to me multiple times (and I fully believe she intended to do so maliciously - which is really where the problem lies) and here is the FULL STORY. Enjoy! I needed bloodwork and went to get it done. While at Quest I was informed there was no TB test ordered by my Dr. Office (Dr. Lipman). So I called Dr. Lipman's office and spoke to Christy. She stated that she had electronically submitted the TB test and I informed her that I was in the phlebotomists office, looking at what was actually ordered, and there was NO TB TEST. She doubled down, and rudely stated the date and time that it was submitted. She was wrong, so I asked her to send over proof of the TB test being ordered. We waited and waited. 30 minutes later the phlebotomist shows us the faxed "proof". Guess what!!! IT DID NOT SHOW ANY TB TEST. So I called Dr. Lipman's office back and asked her why the order doesn't show TB test. Of course she didn't have any answer for me, I explained to her that she wasted my time by giving me incorrect information making me think that I needed a TB test when in fact it was not needed. She clearly didn't like that because she then became even more unprofessional and rude. Clearly not making any progress with her over the phone, I decided to go into Dr. Lipman's office to have the conversation in person and find out why she wants to lie and be rude, and unprofessional - ALL WHILE BE WRONG!!! I ended up speaking with Dr. Lipman himself. He was not much better. He wouldn't let me speak. He interrupted me multiple times when I was literally just trying to explain to him the issue at hand, for him to decide how to mediate the situation. He kept repeating himself, asking me what I would like done, and while answering that question he would continue to interrupt me. This guy clearly does not value his customers, so its obvious where Christy gets her attitude from. Every single business owner should understand that things will happen and that customers will bring things to their attention and its in the business owners best interest to take a few short moments to listen to both sides of the story and then go from there. Dr. Lipman had no desire to do that. Dr. Lipman had no desire to let me tell him how rude, and how wrong, and how much of a waste of time his employee caused me. PATHETIC! Dr Lipman is one of the best doctors my husband has ever seen. My husband is a quadriplegic with a super pubic cath. If you know anything about the catheter they are infection prone. Dr Lipman checks my husband every 6 weeks for infections and he treats the infection so that my husband does not get sepsis or needs to go to the hospital. We have been with Dr Lipman and his staff for almost 6 years and we will NEVER EVER. See another infectious disease doctor. Dr Lipman and his staff have saved my husband's life many times. I always tell him when he retires what will we do lol. The staff is unmatched. They know when I call and the sense of urgency when needed for my husband. They work with my ever changing home health ( thank you Ella and Kristy). I know that we are well taken care of. Stephanie Remson is amazing. There are no words that I could say for all your help. I was admitted to St. Rose Hospital for severe swelling of the right thumb in early August, so I could receive IV antibiotics. The MRI confirmed osteomyelitis. I had surgery to identify the severity of the condition, continued on antibiotics for a couple days and then went home. I've been going to Dr. Brian Lipman's office for daily infusion treatments and I cannot say enough about the kindness of the front office staff (Christy and Bianca), the RNs (Celia, Desiree, Keri, Rita, Sidney and Winter) and Josh. Their office is clean and everyone has been so friendly and awesome. If I have a scheduling conflict, they adjust the appointment time. It takes a team to make the dream work! Guys, I know there are relatively few reviews here on Yelp and people often don't come to Yelp to read about their doctor. Typically, only negative reviews are written on Yelp and other areas. You all know that social media is essentially a bulletin board in the old school sense and anyone can write anything about anybody or any business. So, yes, reviews have to be taken with a grain of salt. I want to preface my remarks by telling you that Dr. Lipman and I were colleagues, working in the Las Vegas area. I am no longer living in that area. I will occasionally reach out to Brian with some interesting tidbit from the internet to alert him on some fungus or virus or trend that may impact his practice. He always takes a minute or two to respond by text. That's it. Although I consider him a friend, we rarely keep in touch, and I have no financial interest in Dr. Lipman's practice whatsoever. That all being said, I want to tell you that there is no finer physician on the face of this planet than Dr. Lipman, in my opinion. He has all the ingredients that you want in your personal physician: he is trained "old school" meaning that he was trained in the days where doctors had to work extremely hard, stay up sometimes 36 hours, read like crazy, share with colleagues, all before the internet existed. This means that he has seen hundreds of thousands of patients over his career, and that experience is invaluable. His training at Columbia was exceptional. Additionally, he was medical director with a specialty in infectious disease for a small medical enterprise in New York, before moving to the Vegas area. Dr. Lipman gets up early and rounds on his patients before going into the office. He answers his colleagues's consults in an extraordinarily timely fashion, with very very helpful notes to help direct their care from his specialty's standpoint. He is usually involved in the care of the sickest patients in the hospital, always examining them himself. His notes contain his original thoughts, not some copy and pasted diagnoses and treatments. Literally he is one of the go-to physicians for the sickest patients in the hospital, and our top pick for an ID physician. Additionally, he often rounds in the evening at dinner time, and I have seen him completing his notes at 11PM. Very hard working, actually a brilliant clinician, and additionally, he's a nice guy. He will take the time to speak with his colleagues or patients. He's busy, but humble, a very likable guy. I have no experience with working with Dr. Lipman in the outpatient office setting, but I can tell you that his staff really like him. I have seen him involved in the successful treatment of hundreds if not thousands of patients. He keeps up with his patients, and the other physicians often don't know where he gets his energy. So if there are comments about Dr. Lipman, please use whatever office communication is available and have some patience. One technique I use for getting hold of doctors is to tell one of their colleagues on the case that you've been trying to reach him, and having them text him. That usually works for me. My husband went to him for a chronic knee infection after two failed revision surgeries. We were told that all my information would be forwarded to his associate (his wife) and that she would be in contact with me. That was a black hole. Never heard from her for months and whenever we called they said she was working on it. Gave up and went to Mayo Clinic and get their opinion. Bummed to read a few of the reviews below as my experience was entirely different. Contracted Sepsis and spent 5 days in the hospital. While the on call hospital doctors saw me for about 2 minutes each day, Dr. Lipman was my treating doctor and was the best. Upon discharge I was to be on an at home infusion for six weeks while visiting his office every Thursday for a dressing change and med refill. I was early every time and never had to wait, not once. Three times in the six weeks I had to go in a few days before my appointment because my dressing needed to be fixed, they always said just come on in and we'll take care of it - and they did. The girl at the front desk was so nice and the nursing staff who I saw each week were really good. They all were very professional and courteous. On the couple appointments with Dr Lipman I found him to be so knowledgeable, answered anything I asked, shared details with me, and was always accommodating. Sepsis is serious and I am glad it was in the hands of Dr Lipman. read more

Had always heard wonderful things, especially working within healthcare and seeing the volume of patients that Dr. Lipman treats. My first hand review is that of a family member of one of his patients. My father was admitted with a rare fungal meningitis and over the 3-4 month medical roller coaster I had countless times asked for Dr. Lipman to reach out. He didn't. My dad was fairly early on seemed to be unable to make decisions due to the infection and I was supposed to be the one kept in the loop, but I certainly wasn't. The office also gave me the complete runaround with filling out my leave of absence paperwork in order to get my dad to appointments in between admissions. The day before my dad passed, nearly 4 months after the chaos had started was when they decided to do it. On that same phone call, I asked to have them make sure Dr. Lipman gave me a call and that I didn't care if it took a day, a week, or a year; that I still wanted to talk to him. Well ladies and gentlemen, we are approaching 2 years since my dad's first admission. I haven't so much as received even a summer cold from these people. I know there were absolutely many failures in my father's care that cost him his life, I am not sure if any of that lies on Dr. Lipman. read more

Dr. Brian Lipman is easily the best doctor I have ever had! He has helped more than any other doctor has in the past. He listens to your symptoms, treats you CORRECTLY, and he is so incredibly knowledgeable about literally every disease/illness. He has amazing chairside manner. You can tell that he genuinely wants to help and cure you. Since he is the best infectious disease physician in Southern Nevada, you can imagine how incredibly busy he is... but he will always make time in his schedule for you. He consults with your other doctors, and he makes sure every to dot the i's and cross the t's before giving you a definitive diagnosis. He truly is one of a kind. His office staff is also very kind, and his office is always clean and organized. I have already recommended him to my family members, but I can't recommend him enough. Dr Brian Lipman literally saved my life in 2012! I contracted overlapping Cellulitis, Sepsis and C-Diff Colitis following a Total Knee Replacement. Following the surgery, the Hospitalist disregarded my complaints. (I received a letter of apology from the hospital). Dr. Lipman was eventually called as a Consult. Dr. Lipman took me on as a patient and continued seeing me at his office until I was fully recovered. Dr Lipman is E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T with diagnosing and treating Infectious Diseases!
