Really Ditzy Counter Associate, or Really Good Liar?…read more I went to see them about my overdraft charges, and deposited a check to take care of the fees. I was assured by a female teller that everything was fine, and I wouldn't need to worry about getting charged more fees for the current day, or any of the days thereafter. Imagine my surprise (rage) when I was charged an extra two days while the check was processing! I called and asked what happened but the man I talked to at the John Devine branch had no idea what happened and suggested I call the 800 number. I did. The person on the 800 line told me that yes, the counter person had basically lied to me about not being charged. And he told me the guy at the local branch could see the same screen he could: apparently it was NO mystery at all what happened OMFG She cost me an extra $259 that I had to borrow from relatives to pay the bills!!!!!!!!!!! Would not recommend stopping here at all; go to other Citizen's branches and avoid this one like the plague!

Still quite pleased with my tax professional and the outcome, however... I know many, many businesses are struggling these days to find help, and H & R Block were no exception, in the administrative department. First, I was left a voice message in January, before my W-2 forms were even released, to call and schedule an appointment. The caller was male, surly, and sounded bored to tears. Didn't make a good impression. Then I got a call when my taxes were done to schedule a sit down. I told them when I was available and we scheduled a 3pm appointment. They sent confirmation texts, but I didn't read them thoroughly. When I arrived for my appointment, my consultant was surprised to see me but met with me between appointments. Turns out they booked me for the following week at 3pm. We decided to keep that appointment and I would come back for the final product. In between, I left a message for my consultant, a question they asked me to go home and check on regarding my covid stimulus payments from the government. I called back and left them a message regarding the answer. When I met with them the following week, they didn't have my taxes ready as I hadn't answered the question. I asked, "Didn't you get my message? I called the next day." They looked toward reception, rolled their eyes and said "No". A week later, my phone rings and it says H & R Block, so I answered. They said I had left a message and wanted to know if the matter had been resolved. Yes, I said, I already picked up my taxes a week ago. A little late to check now. Four hours later, I received another call, asking if the message I had left two weeks before had been resolved. I responded that it had, and that I had explained that to the person who called earlier that day with the same question. That was a lot of words to say the tax consultants here are good, but the administrative staff seems to lack training, direction, and talent, so double check everything they set up for you, twice.
