After getting quotes from three different companies, I went with Carpet Warehouse primarily because of the personal interactions I had with Tracy in the initial stages. She was patient with my questions, and really seemed to care about the work. It felt like a very personalized experience with down-to-earth people. Not sales-y at all. The installers were fantastic. This is Empire's error. Carpet was installed on 5/19. It's now 6/7 and I still don't know if they are and when they are going to fix it. I get a call and return it for 3 days straight. No return call. This was because a lady called to see if one of the installers left a tool at my house (two weeks after they were here). I did talk to another person who said he would look into it after I talked to my sales person and he came and took pictures. This was installation manager who I talked with when this first happened not to hear from him again for over two weeks. Not a peep. Then he calls and said he was going to come over today 6/7. Issis has such a wide variety that I couldn't find at other places. If they did have any variety they didn't have the service...crickets. Well, these Mohawk hardwoods already have numerous nicks- way more than my previous homes on-site finished hardwood floors. Also , they have this low sheen that is IMPOSSIBlE to keep clean looking. I think the top finish is too soft. I would NOT recommend Mohawk engineered floors. This, after spending $12,000 for them. Would not use or recommend Mohawk hardwoods.
