My children suffered a lot of emotional trauma due to family tragedy and my daughter was 2 weeks shy of 18 when Sandy told me the same. Having been through that before, I politely told her to fuck off - DCF takes weeks/months to respond - and now we need a new pediatrician. Technically the kids are still patients there, but taking them to appointments now is like taking the fucking cat to the vet. In a post Dr. Marz era, pass on Bass River. I don't bear Sandy any ill will - I believe she is doing what she feels is in the best interest of the child - but the stupid fucking retired hippies voting democrat think they're saving the world too.

From there we worked with Dr. Carolyn Rogers. Dr. Rogers is such a delight. We found her by chance for my son's first surgical procedure 4 years ago, so it was a no brainer for us to go back to her again for his second. Dr. Rogers has this calm, open demeanor about her which is much needed when it comes to your child and any thing surgery related - she really gets that. I always feel like "we got this" when we are in her presence. Matter of fact, we feel this way whenever we are at this location as a whole. The staff is really client focused, from minimal wait times, to check ins and last but not least, smiling. Smiling goes a long way in this field and I appreciate that they tapped into that.
