They seem to have upped their game regarding the fresh fruit and veg. Lots of lovely pre cut and bagged stuff. (Especially butternut squash, I bloody hate doing that). They now have self scan checkouts also. Big plus cos the q's were awful before. I'll definitely visit more often while I'm on my wee lunch hour walk.

There is also a Co-op travel centre and a Post Office within the building, making it easy to get those important daily tasks done! What I like most about Aldi is that it sells authentic food, not brand name foods. I love that I can go in and get German sausage, Spanish chorizo and Swedish smoked cheese all right next to each other, and it's all real, authentically made food, as opposed to Asda's own etc. My one reason this specific store doesn't have a 5* review is that there's 5 checkouts and they never open more than 2, even when it's absolutely mobbed. The staff could also do with being a bit more friendly; they never look pleased in their chosen workplace! It's worth checking out deals here as you can find many items cheaper than Tesco or even Asda in these stores. They do sell other dried and other fresh foods but they are mostly known for their frozen food. I used to help out at a local hotel near buy many years ago with breakfast and like most hotels they cut it very fine with food orders and very often you would run out of bacon and have to send someone a cross the road to farmfood's to buy 60 X packs of bacon.
