The barn is stunning and there are so many unique details all around the property. My favorite thing about Shady Wagon is the family that owns it and the leader of it all, Cindy! I have had the pleasure of working will her on several occasions, including a charity event for ovarian cancer that she took upon herself to host. Cindy makes everyone feel like they are special! She has given me so much advice and wisdom for my special day! I gladly listen because she has been doing this for a loooong time and has been married for 47 years! This family has been fair and extremely accommodating with my schedule and my budget! I never feel made wrong! Weddings can be stressful but Shady Wagon and Cindy Carroll have made my planning happen with grace and ease. The caterers that they have selected were fantastic and made picking food a whole lot easier!

It was elegant, yet not over the top. I also loved that they had a spacious patio, with beautifully strung lights that set a romantic mood. (The patio was also a perfect place for the younger kids to run around and get some energy out while the adults finished dinner.) But the beauty of the venue is not the only reason this venue was perfect. The staff here could not have been easier to work with and they really brought my wedding day vision to life. Marc and Janice are both pros at what they do and they made every request I had possible. Marc met with us multiple times to comb through the details and answer any questions or requests we had. And I felt incredibly comfortable and at ease when the wedding day did finally arrive. And for those who believe food is key to a great party: We knew we did not want crappy hotel food for our reception, so we stuck to visiting venues that had great reviews about their food - And the Garden on Millbrook was one of those places. We decided on the 3 entrée buffet which was made up of chicken florentine, brisket, and their signature shrimp and gouda grits. Along with the entrees, we had potatoes au gratin, steamed vegetables, rolls, a salad bar and coffee bar. Everyone raved about how good the food was! I know there is also the stereotype that the bride and groom never get to eat during their own wedding, but the staff here really takes good care of you and serves you separately to make sure that you get to eat. We hadn't even tasted the food at that point. Now that we have actually tasted the food, we're even more excited to be working with him. Everything was so delicious! Our photographer asked what other vendors we're using, and when I told her Marc's our caterer she said she loves him too! It's really nice to know our vendors enjoy working together, I think that shows a lot about their professionalism and quality of service. Our wedding isn't until August so I can't speak to the actual event yet, but Marc has already put in so much work and been so helpful I really wanted to give a review already! He responds so quickly to emails, it's like somehow his answer is already in my inbox as I'm hitting send. It's magic! He has offered really helpful support anytime I have questions about the menu and so many other things not at all related to the meal...scheduling, referrals, anything we ask, he's on it! It's very, very clear from his responses he truly knows what he's doing and yet he's incredibly tactful when offering suggestions. Anything he says is with a tone of leaving it totally up to us, just offering the benefit of his experience, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I'm really glad we booked with him and can't wait to enjoy his services on our big day!

The only suggestions we would offer is know in advance that this is the top floor of The Stockroom. If there are 2 events scheduled, you'll be sharing the only elevator with the other venue. Loading and unloading prior and after the event can be a bit tricky. There is no designated area loading zone. Be sure to ask in advance for a cart and it will be provided.Also, if you're having a summer event, know that it can be very hot. When the door to the deck is open, it compromises the A/C and it can be a tad bit warm.

There were two disabled parking spots right by the front door and across the street at a church. We were greeted as we entered and promptly seated in the main area at a corner table. As we entered the dining area there was a young gentleman playing a piano and singing some great songs. Our server, Luigi, arrived and introduced himself. After receiving our water and bread with olive oil and vinaigrette he provided the specials for the day. When he was finished he said there was no need to look at the menu because the specials are delicious. After a few minutes he returned and we went with the specials. Wife chose the shrimp pasta with vodka sauce. I chose the 18oz (estimated) steak and vegetables. Wife also had a glass of red wine that she said was great. When our meals arrived, we were pleased with the presentation. Wife really enjoyed her pasta and wine. The steak was pure excellence and bliss. The first bite had me hooked. It perfectly cooked at medium rare. The flavor and tenderness were perfect. I ate the whole steak and vegetables slowly so I could savor it. The vegetables were very flavorful. At one point I told my wife that I was so happy and I could probably cry. Lol. The atmosphere, the music, the weather, the meal, and my beautiful wife made this a memorable moment. As we finished our meal, we had a conversation with Luigi. He said that he would show us the garden area. He also said to follow them on facebook so we can see the events they host. This weekend was going to be a live band in the garden with the large bar open and you can order pizza as well as from the menu. Once we settled and provided a tip to the talented musician, Luigi took us to the garden area. What an incredible place. We never expected to find anything like this in the small town of Bailey.
