This place was pretty cool! We had a great family night out that we kicked off with some nachos while waiting for our bowling lane. The nachos was pretty good, but towards the end needed some cheese because it basically became just chips. We simply asked for more cheese and they gave up enough so we could enjoy the rest of our snack. There was a kind man that gave us a couple of his un-used arcade cards at the end of our wait. We graciously accepted and was beyond surprised to find out he had given us cards with hundreds of dollars still left on them. We had a blast!! Played so many games and so grateful to him that he gave us that moment. Bowling was a blast too! We played two games and the lanes were really clean and the bowling balls felt in good conditions as well. The music was kind of loud, but we were in the last lane so maybe the speakers were positioned over there. To sum it up, we will definitely go back because this was a great family spot and offers a lot so everyone can have a good night out. read more

A girls night out at FV's newest hot spot. It's huge with a separate sports bar, arcade, bowling and laser tag. Dang, I wanna do everything. We opted for bowling. You pay by the hour plus shoes. Note: this is bowling with the pins on a string, so no crazy pin action. We got ourselves set up and our waiter took our drink and food orders. They did separate checks and our waiter made sure we were getting what we needed. The food was pretty good, I was surprised. My only complaint was the bowling game ends when your hour is up whether you bowled all ten frames or not. At least let us finish the game. Seating is tight on the lanes especially with 6 people. The outside sports area looks really nice. Gotta try the arcade & laser tag next time. read more

Went there on Thanksgiving eve with my family. Since it was a busy day, we had to wait for couple of minutes. Wait time wasn't that bad, as our name was called probably within 5-10 minutes. Only VIP alleys were available at that time, so that's where we played. We ordered food and drinks, and everything came up in a timely manner. Service was also top notch, with no significant delays. Loved the lights & overall ambience. Everyone in the staff was super friendly & accommodating. I'd definitely visit again. They also have a bar / restaurant. I'll probably try that next time (hope they serve some halal options ). Best part is that they're so close to our home & I feel it's a blessing that folks in Holly Springs & Fuquay Varina will no longer have to drive far anymore! read more

It's a 2.5, but not enough good to push it to a 3, sadly. The hubs and I were scouting this shiny new venue we'd watched being built and couldn't wait to try for a future team building option and great sports bar in the neighborhood. We left disappointed. When I first saw the low reviews for this brand-spanking-new entertainment-meets-sports-bar spot, I thought, "Tough crowd." After actually going? I totally get it. Is this it, or are they still working out the kinks? I'm not so sure. It's a sports bar, restaurant, bowling alley, and arcade all under one roof. While I didn't go for the gaming, the bar and food (which I did go for) left a lot to be desired. From the outside, it looks like the perfect spot to spend a fun afternoon. As the hubs and I cozied up to the bar, families and kids were tucked away in another section. Perfect setup. But if, like us, you're there to catch the games, grab some food, and settle in for good vibes, this isn't quite the place. And I hate that, because the location, design, and overall energy are on point. It's exactly the kind of spot I usually love for game-day hangs. Then came the constant loudspeaker interruptions announcing bowling lane reservations. Honestly, can the patrons just get a "your lane is ready" text or a buzzer to return? The vibe-kill is real, and it gives the whole place more of a kids' complex feel than an adult entertainment venue. And why can't we meet in the middle and have the best of both worlds? And then there was the food. The presentation was great, but the flavor was missing. The wings were fried to a crisp--dry and tough. We didn't finish them. The carne asada tacos came highly recommended but showed up with dry steak and a bland sauce. We ate all of our sweet potato fries that were great, but didn't have a decent honey mustard sauce to complement them. We left earlier than we planned (after I couldn't convince the hubs to try a dessert for fear of being further disappointed) thinking the food was an afterthought in this otherwise stunning new space, which is so unfortunate. All in all, other than Patrick being super attentive and kind while pouring drinks at the bar, I hate to report our first trip (and first experience with the McWally's brand) fell flat. I thought I was going to get the experience I've had at similar businesses in this lane, and I did not. Le sigh. read more

The spaces are right next to each other, add all the screaming kids, names being called over the intercom, the place is loud! We paid $35 (+$1 card activation) to play about 8 games (ranging from 8-10 tokens each). Pretty expensive but the game options were good and the prize store is decent. read more

Drinks were always refilled, she checked on us often, and she made us feel truly welcome without ever being intrusive. Finding out Katie was from my home state made it even more special -- she represented true Southern hospitality beautifully. Employees like Katie are exactly why families return and recommend restaurants to others. McWally's is lucky to have her! My kids absolutely LOVE McWally's with all the fun games, laser tag, and bowling, and my husband loves relaxing in the outdoor area with the huge TVs and atmosphere. A few things that were confusing/annoying was the wait time was given as 10 minutes, but we waited nearly 50 minutes for a lane to bowl. There were a couple open while we waited. Once we got to our lane, we realized the previous people left behind all the bowling balls and their bowling shoes. The spot where we were bowling was tight, people in our space when we were trying to bowl etc. No fault of the establishment, just annoying. Some of the workers need to chill out on the cologne and perfume. It was overpowering, especially being around food. Please consider using different not so toxic cleaners and not leaving them out on the counter with the rag. They smell. Lastly, we had a play card that wasn't able to be used towards food, it was a game play card for the arcades etc. and the payer was not aware this was going to be an issue and no refund was able to be given. I was not there when it happened, but this could have been resolved before payment was made. We couldn't tip like normal because we didn't have a normal food tab. Miscommunications happen and people get confused, but this was just something to top the cake. Hopefully these things can get resolved. Idk the next time we'll be back, but definitely not soon. read more

This town definitely needed a little bit more added fun to it besides just going to play golf. We visit every year for Thanksgiving and we always end up playing golf but this year was a complete disaster and luckily enough this opened up and made such a difference in our night. It was crazy busy so luckily enough we decided to just splurge and do the VIP room. There was a pretty good size group of us and we just had so much fun. It wasn't loud and it was just so enjoyable. We did play some arcade games in the meantime before our room was ready and even after we finished bowling. I would definitely recommend coming here with your family and friends and just having a blast. read more

First time and it was a fun experience. If we lived closer, we'd go often. I had a good time playing the games and next time I would really like to try I believe they had laser tag... The wait for a bowling alley took longer than I expected. The wait was about an hour. Idk if it was because we were there on a Saturday night but definitely thought they weren't going to calm us. We were there on a quiet Friday afternoon and were greeted with happy smiles. They walked us through our options for laser tag or bowling as first timers. They were attentive and kind. We did laser tag which was so much fun! (I kicked my family's butt which helps). Then we played a ton of their games. It was pretty affordable for the amount of time we were there. It was also very clean and air conditioning was spot on. Shout out to atlas in the prize spot who was so kind to my kiddos. We didn't eat anything so this is just based on ambiance and experience but we would come back for sure. Great addition to the quay. read more

We went to McWally's on a Friday afternoon and had a fun time. I grabbed a beer from the bar then we purchased a card to play arcade games. We worked up an appetite so we went to the bar for dinner next. It was the club with fries for me and the roasted veggie flatbread for my husband. Both were tasty and the service was good. April 2 we held our book club meeting at McWallys. Our excellent server was Jaden. Jaden we above and beyond providing not only excellent service but was so engaging with all of our book club ladies. The food was delicious. In addition, the bartender was so personable and knowledgeable about suggesting the excellent cocktails. This place is pretty cool with the bowling lanes and the arcade games but what I didn't like is what I ate. Bacon cheese fries so bad. It's a small bowl with some fries soaked in kraft Mac and cheese sauce with salt lick bacon on top. For the price it should have been a plate not a bowl. Food was great plus great service. Bowling lanes were busy on a Saturday so we'll try some other time. They have the Laser Tag & different arcade games. We found this place a few months ago and really enjoyed the energy of the space, good value and phenomenal service. Rhodes hosted our guests she was attentive and listened to our concerns. Rhodes ensured to inform the manager of our negative experience booking the party. The Male manager was professional, showed respect, LISTENED , stepped in ensuring the negative experience was a positive one, accommodated our needs. Guest's truly enjoyed themselves. While the event planner did not follow up with us on the upcoming days of the event as expected, the on-site team stepped in and ensured everything ran smoothly. Their flexibility and support made a big difference. We appreciate the restaurant's efforts and would happily consider hosting another event here. read more

Had high hopes for this place. 7 pm Friday night. I knew it would be somewhat busy. Go to bar to wait for our table. 2 bartenders working a Friday night. First Walking right past us and going to people that just walked up 2nd. Don't try to order 2 drinks one for you and one for your other half who is watching the kids play in the arcade. Because they'll only let you buy one drink at a time. 40 mins later get a table outside. So figure order drinks right when we sit down. Maybe one will show up quick. That was wrong. Let's get the food order in quick so we and kids can eat and go enjoy some time in the arcade. Almost an hour goes by. Everyone is hungry. Have to keep getting up to find our server. Some of the adults food comes out first. But guess what all of the kids meal come out last. Heck my daughter only ordered pretzel bites and that was the very last thing to come out. An appetizer go figure. This place would probbe fun if they were not understaffed with no communication. And for the price of stuff there you'd think they could afford to higher people. If they dont fix the absolute mess there this place is definitely going to fail. Bad reviews will keep coming and no one is going to want to go there because it was one of the worst food and bar experiences ive had. read more

Took my family for the first time tonight. Terrible. Host/hostess was rude. Told 15 min with open tables everywhere. No big deal we will play a few games. We were sat at 6:47, didn't receive our food until 8:10. We were told the kitchen was really backed up on Friday night. Doesn't explain the three tables sat after us got their food and ate before we ever got our food. We got comped 50% wich was something, but killed the night. Kids didn't even want to stay for bowling or games, thats saying something for a 7 and 11 year old. Then get home and find a 3" hair in the wings. Definitely won't be back to eat. We were really excited to have something in town to do fun. read more
