In my 56 years this has to be the worst experience I have ever had with any company when it comes to customer service and return policies. I was denied a refund on a Washer/Dryer Riser because it was considered to be an unsealed package, even though their own employee cut the two packing straps. The box was not glued or taped, but simply held closed with the two white straps. The return policy does not apply in this case. When I picked up the item, it was secured with two white packing straps. The Brick employee cut these straps to allow me to verify the color. Although the box was never taped or sealed, it was considered an open package when I attempted to return it, and my refund request was denied. I find this policy outrageous, especially since the employee did not mention the return policy. To make things worse the supervisor Dev sat in his office literally 50 feet from me and the returns desk, refused to talk to me stating he was busy eating his lunch. Still waiting for some type of resolution to this matter. I purchase a sofa (100523COFRB), in september 2022 and I contacted Brick to have the cushion covers replaced since they are all worn (few months after I bought it), I only leave with my wife and we just casualy seat on it but all the time I contacted Brick I had a very crappy service and I really regret having done business with Brick... The answer I got from them was since I did not have purchase the warranty I could not be helped, even though I did not want it for free but wanted to purchase it either from them or somewhere else. I just had an 85 inch TV delivered late on a Friday afternoon. I plan to have it wall mounted but did not want to make any arrangements for that until the TV was delivered. I was told by the de4livery people that I only have 48 hours to check the TV works properly. when I pointed out that it would be impossible to have my handyman come and help unbox and install it over the weekend and requested he take the TV back he refused and told me to call the store who would give me an extension. The salesperson at the store told me that The Brick takes zero responsibility as to whether a very expensive item works or not. He reiterated that I have 48 hours to report damage from delivery and beyond that, tough luck I am on my own and he too refused to take back the TV. I purchased from The Brick rather than Amazon or any of a number of other companies selling the same item for about the same price because I expected some level of customer service. I don't think that ever in my life regretted a purchase as much as this and will certainly never purchase anything from them again ands try to make sure friends an relatives don't either. Ordered a dresser in store and scheduled the delivery for Friday Jan 12th, recieved multiple confirmations about the delivery date AND the delivery window which was between 9:40-12:40. At 11:07 there's an update that it's already OUT FOR DELIVERY so I empty my old dresser and take it apart since I didn't have anyone to help me carry it to the street. Then closer to 12, almost at the END of my delivery window I get a call notifying me that the delivery is cancelled. Ive already torn apart and discarded my old dresser. I explain this to them and am told that they will try to get my delivery added on some point over the weekend so I'm not stuck without a dresser and that they would call back shortly. Radio silence for the rest of the day. Finally the following morning(today) I get a call saying they won't be able to deliver it until the following weekend even after explaining the situation they put me in. I also specified when I originally made the purchase that it needed to be this weekend because I go back to work after. Had I known it wasn't going to come this weekend I would've bought something somewhere else or even used if it meant I could organize it this weekend while I still have the time. Anyway, all this to say I'm now stuck without a dresser and no place to put my clothes and considering canceling the order all together and going somewhere else to buy it so at least I have it now. read more

They had plenty of cute and stylish home furniture, decor and lots of electronics. We were greeted by Leo Leblanc who helped us. He was not only helpful, but fun. He helped us get what we wanted within our budget. I would definitely shop with him again. Our purchase was quick and painless. We got delivery set up for two weeks out. Do not shop at The Brick. I was pushed into a sale by a man at the Lasalle Montreal, Quebec store, and promised a delivery date. Not only did it not come when he said, when we went to see where our delivery was it was going to be another week and we had not been told this (in person or via e-mail) we only found out because we went ourselves. The customer service department wouldn't do anything for us, so we waited a week for our delivery and it all came in broken. They offered to send someone to fix it and give us $30... (there were scratches, dents etc things that can't just be fixed). We said no, please replace the furniture, and they did another week later and did not give us any compensation. The cherry on top of the cake was that Head Office replied to my negative review on Google saying they would love to reach out to me for compensation and they never did, and when I e-mailed them 6 times (cc'ing the Lasalle store as well) I did not hear and still have not heard from someone. WARNING!!!! Attention Potential Customers!!! My husband and I have been waiting over 2 months for our table. If you do not have months to wait consider going elsewhere. After many calls and emails there is still no firm date on when we will receive our table. After saving for over a year we were so excited to finally buy the table, so we am extremely disappointed. When asked when we will receive the table the company said they do not know and have no way of knowing. When we asked can we get our money back they told us that we would have to pay them around $500 for restocking fees. THIS FEELS LIKE STEALING!!! I've never dealt with the company that puts out great videos to entice you to buy their product and at the same time doesn't keep you in the loop and will make you pay for their miscommunication. I have blown three separate days sitting around waiting for a delivery with promises from phone reps - after the 3 hour delivery window had come and gone - that "they'll be there today, they're just running late!" Only to find out the next day that that driver said he came by and no one was home. And of course, they didn't think to call. The best part is that when they reschedule, it's 10 days after that. What a cruel joke of a business this is. Avoid. I am charging back my credit card and going with someone else. They told me I would be able to pay the 2 piece of furniture I bought there within 12 months at my speed. I ended up paying everything before the 12 months (6 months in advance). But because I had not received the first invoice they charged me interests fees in every single invoice since the first one.... I was not aware of that. The reviews are all true. The lady that assisted me, if I can even say that was rude, pushy and condescending. I am from Ontario and I asked her to speak French with me and said if I want to learn I should just buy a dictionary. So rude. Then she's acting like I can't afford the mattresses because I thought $1000 was absurd when I KNOW they have cheaper ones. She seemed to be getting frustrated I didn't like anything. I was there last week, and for some strange reason the prices listed on their websites are not the ones tagged to their products...they always leave the old price, even if it is higher than what is listed online. NEVER GO THERE. I have a very bad experience with Brick staff about reliability. I believe " they say and promise just to sell their merchandise and as soon as you did your purchase, problems start on after another and everyday you have a new surprise" I bought my home appliances for 9200$ on Sunday, jun 12th. when we wanted to buy the salesman offered us equal payment of 60 month with no interest. I asked him about our concern on delivery date on jun 25th and he said "no problem, it will be done on 25th and your gas stove get installed on jun 26th and you(buyer) should call the installation center just to confirm the hours". we did rely on this guy and made our purchase. The day after the STORY GET STARTED: at noon The sales man called us and said "my boss doesn't accept 60 month financing and he's saying it was a promotion of last week so you should pay it off in 36 mnth" I told him: 1- you as a salesman told me did promise 60 mnths. 2- it was written on you flyer what you did show us. 3- Most important :I have all my financing paper hand in where is confirmed 60 months allover. I told him it's fraud. After 1 hour he called said his boss accepted for 60 mnth. This morning another surprise: somebody tried to called me from delivery dept. yesterday and I returned her call today. The agent told me you have delivery date for jun 30th. I got frustrated and yell on her. she said that she tries to arrange it for 25th but not sure!!! We are in the market for new everything...but priority right now is a bed set. After having a terrible customer service and just all around bad experience with economax we decided to shop around for excellent customer service first and deal with the price second. The Brick is NOT the place for excellent customer service...annoying? Yes. Very very very annoying but far from excellent. We were in the store for maybe 20 minutes total and were approached by over 15 different staff!!! Some might find that good customer service but here's how it kept going down "hi may i help you?" then us "yah we're looking around but came to find a bed set" seller of any area except the bed set area: "oh well that's over there" *points to section in far top right and turns away* ....it's actually pretty amusing to watch lol we figured out real quick that ur not welcome in any seller's area of expertise that ur not there that day to buy from...so if ur there to buy a bed like us...u best stay in the (limited selection) of bed sets they have because u'll be ushered over there fairly quickly anyways out of discomfort. Then there was the employee that insisted we had to have someone with us: "do u need help" us: "oh no thanks we're still just browsing" then again 2 minutes later then actually called someone to help us on the intercom!! We left the section we were in quickly to avoid another employee telling us where the bed set section was and left the store not finding anything that we cant find anywhere else feeling stressed at all the harassment. read more

After I insisted while purchasing a fridge and a stove that the assurance of a delivery date was a sine qua non condition for me to complete the purchase, I end up having to argue with their representatives for weeks. They do not even call when the delivery does not occur on the date they give you. I had to call three times before getting an answer as to why the delivery truck had not yet come. They then promised another delivery date. Surprise. Still no furniture. I am a lawyer and therefore know my rights, but I have never seen this. They do not call back and the manager does not even reply to his emails. It sounds like they are mistreating their customers on purpose. Will never buy anything from Brick again. Delivery service sucks. Customer service is incompetent. They delivered the same piece of incorrect furniture four times even though I called multiple times and was assured every time that the correct item was being delivered. I ended up going to their warehouse in Pointe-aux-Trembles to pick up the piece myself. Then on another item the delivery guy tried to tell me that the termite damage on a bed frame was normal and he wouldn't take it back. I had to wait an additional four days before they would exchange it for me. He also told me he would not assemble the furniture because he didn't know how even though the store said assembly was included. Awful business practice. I purchased a TV that came in with dead pixels so I called the main office and told them of the problem. They said they would exchange the TV for me. I went back to the store that same week to purchase another TV and some other items. The TV we wanted to purchase was listed at $832 with 10% off to $799, then a big sign saying 25% off special. When I asked the price they said $649. When I asked what the 25% off means I was told that $832 was already a good price and $649 was the best. I asked how they came up with that number and was told that it is 25% of the actual price (not listed) and the actual price was 25% more that $649. This was a Sony TV and when I checked sony.ca the actual retail price of the TV was $550!!! I was then told that I could purchase the TV now, they have a price match guarantee and black friday was coming up so I would almost certainly get money back, never mentioning that the price match does not apply to black friday sales. SCAM! The conversation then turned to the TV I just delivered which I said was getting exchanged. They said they wanted to look into the exchange and "discovered" that they cannot exchange it but could sell me a new TV for $200 more. They said they knew this would happen. Now I have wasted too many hours on the phone trying to sort this out and have resorted to dealing with Samsung directly for my warranty. So yesterday I get a call from the automated system saying they would be at my house this morning. I proceeded to call the Brick LaSalle who advised that they were picking up the TV, something we never discussed. I told them no, I want to work with Samsung before returning the TV. Now they are on the way to my house. Dealing with this location has been the worst customer experience, they do not care about you. Once they get you on the hook they will try to bleed you for every penny they can get. I wish I read these reviews before making my purchase. read more
