As someone who has been a guest several times and I mean weeks at a time for business. I was driving back to Alabama and my eyes got so heavy I decided to pull over in a place I felt comfortable to just shut my eyes for about 30 minutes. When a person (because he's not a man) decided to accuse me of being out there for almost 1 hour. It wasn't even 20 minutes. He asked me to roll my window down, I politely did and was polite in explaining why I was there. I don't know if this POS has wife or children but when someone needs to close their eyes for a few moments so they don't have an accident driving and this person takes issue with me resting my eyes in and empty parking for 20 minutes, says everything I need to know about ever staying here again. I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND THE PEOPLE WHO I KNOW THAT COME OF OUT TOWN OF TOWN, I will absolutely make sure they are never recommended. Unbelievable!! read more

I stayed here for just over a week in July 2025. I selected this lodging based on the low price, positive (recent) reviews, and location. When booking online, I selected a non-smoking room with a king size bed. The room I received was exactly as advertised. Clean room, big TV, cold AC, good water pressure in shower. No breakfast, but I already knew that, so no problem. Staff was friendly at check in and check out, no issues during my stay. Plenty of restaurants close by, and Atlanta attractions were usually only 30 min away unless there was bad traffic. I would stay here again. read more

Competitive rate, convenient location, clean rooms that don't smell like a cigarette factory, free parking, and bedsheets free of semen stains, blood or cigarette holes - what more could I possibly ask for? We recently stayed here multiple nights on more than one occasion and it's was a great overall experience. I went on hotels.com and search for hotels nearest our Koreatown destinations in Duluth. Of course--- too many hotels were there for the choosing. However, Guesthouse Atlanta Norcross stood out in mind because of the low price and the Chinese writing on the front of the building. Sounds strange, but the writing led me to choose the hotel . / / / Just appeared to be an adventure and maybe something different. The only interesting thing that we found about the hotel is the snack machines are filled with Chinese and Korean snacks. One entire snack machine on the first floor is all ramen. For a two star hotel, this place is immaculately clean from our experience. Hair-dryer, microwave, fast wifi with no tricky passwords, and a mini fridge were provided at no additional cost. It is also really nice that the sink is separate from the bathroom with excess counter space. The room was cleaned daily and new towels and toiletries provided. Staying here again next month! Checking-in only took a few seconds, and checking out took even less time. Nothing intrusive and overall drama free experience. It is nice to have one less thing to worry about when you are on vacation and trying to relax. At such a low price, we can afford to visit the area more often. read more

Musty, dusty, smells like smoke. Like a scary dream or terrible joke. I booked a room here cuz of the super low price. So many hotels, I just kinda rolled the dice. It's right off the highway, so the location ain't bad. And it's close to my family, most importantly, Dad. But I didn't think it would be quite so 'hood. Stay here again? I don't think that I would. Their vending machine is stocked w/ ramen. Never seen that before, quite uncommon. In the lobby, they're selling old chairs "as-is". My guess, those things are covered in jizz. The pictures of the outside may make one think that this is an older hotel and may not have updated accoutrements. However, the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover", applies here. Yes it is an older hotel. What I like about that is this building is solidly built and you don't hear your neighbors through the wall. The hotel is being updated and we stayed in one of the new rooms - king with massage chair (what a great relief after a long drive). The beds are very comfortable (I slept the entire night in an unfamiliar place and barely moved because the bed was so comfortable). I stayed in room 152. Honestly, I like that corner room despite the fact that it is a smoking room. PRICE: I booked this place through Orbitz after realizing I haven't found a place to stay yet for my vacation. Considering that I use to work at a hotel and understand that you get pretty much what you pay for when it comes to lodging. This place is actually not that bad considering the amount I paid per night (less than $40 per night). LOCATION: I chose Norcross, Ga to stay because it was the city I stayed at during my last visit and I felt comfortable being there. The hotel is pretty big so it's hard to miss. Once you exit the freeway, you can pretty much spot it. PARKING: I guess there's not much to do in Norcross, Ga so they occupancy probably is less than 50%. Due to this fact, there are plenty of parking space available in their lot. INTERIOR: When I walked into my room, I was bombarded by the smell of cigarettes. That is obvious for a smoking room, but I did not expect it to be that strong. It smelled as if someone just smoked a pack of cigarettes in the room right before I walked in. Well, at least there were more than enough towels for two(2) people. Anyways, the colors are deep and traditional. Honestly, it makes me sleepy and lazy in the room. I honestly do not know when the last time they cleaned the room since the cigarette smell is strong enough to make me believe it must've been awhile. Oh, might I add one(1) dead roach on the floor I found the following morning of my check-in? SERVICE: I am impressed by the customer service at the front desk. As run down as the hotel may seem, I am surprised to how great service they provided. Every since person I encounter and spoke to at the front desk greeted, help and thanked me with a smile (you know me and smiles, i love it!). I did not asked my room to be cleaned during my entire stay (3 nights) there, but I am happy to mention that I wish my room to not be serviced and they did just that. VERDICT: Due to my bad experiences in the past, this lodge ain't bad at all. Yeah, I would stay here again. I'll even ask for the room at the end. Next time though, I'll bring febreeze. read more

This used to be a nice place to stay. Woke up this morning with bed bug bites. Found bed bug crawling on pillow. Called front desk, said I can come down and change rooms. When asked about refund for being bitten by bed bugs, was told that management just left, and I have to call them tomorrow. We will see what happens. read more

First of all, if you are planning to be around the area (or simply passing by) and love Asian food, this is a fantastic place to stay! This is in the middle of the best restaurants, markets, and bakeries. I live in South Florida, and the Asian restaurants aren't the best and are pretty scarce. Duluth and Doraville are my favorite areas to visit for the best Asian foods. Sure, World of Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium are good places to visit when you come to Atlanta, but if you're a FOODIE, then I would highly recommend you stay at this hotel. This hotel has nice rooms and great amenities (fridge, blow dryer, microwave, coffee maker). I've been coming here since 2007ish (currently 2017 as I'm writing this), and it's always been a great experience. 10 minutes southwest of this hotel has a lot of great Asian places to eat, and 10 minutes northeast has even more great places to eat. It pains me to write this 3 star review because the rooms were actually very nice. We stayed there on the 24th of February and liked the room but the chemical smell from the cleaning was so overwhelming we had to prop the door open to try and air out the room. When we went to bed it was still strong and I felt like it was burning my throat all night long. I have asthma and well needless to say it did cause me to have breathing problem. I called to ask what chemicals they used and was told Fabuloso and Bleach, unfortunately not to sure that is actually everything they use. My mom and brother was in another room and it had the same smell just not as strong. If you are sensitive to strong chemical smells I would not suggest staying here or check the room first prior to staying. read more

Came to Norcross for a business trip for a few days. Accommodations are as bare bones as you can get. Want a drink?.. find the vending machine. Want to exercise?.. find the pool. Now the good stuff. Most importantly, it's an exceptional $50 a night. Check-in and Check-out were super smooth, and the gentleman behind the desk was very polite and helpful. The Brick Lodge is also very close to downtown Norcross and less than a 5 minute drive\uber to bars and restaurants.. or a few minute walk to some fast food as well. The decor is dated, the bed isn't the most comfortable, and the sheets needed some softener. However the room was VERY clean, and the bathroom was spotless. The place was also reasonably quiet, and was in a very safe neighborhood. read more

I booked two nights, the place looks nice on the exterior but the rooms are dated. My sons bed was lower at the head, kind of lop sided. The carpets are very dated and stained, the AC was amazing. It was cold. My son laid on a pillow and stood up with blond hair on his head. No blondes in our family. There is no breakfast. The pool was nice, my sons enjoyed it. The faucet leaked from the fixture not the spout. The location was very convenient but the traffic was constant. It's a very busy place. When visiting the area for my brother's Firefighter Academy graduation, we were in search of a safe but very affordable place to stay. Despite suggestions in other areas of town, we took a chance on this hotel based on vast reviews staying that while the property was older with limited amenities, it was very clean. To ease any concerns I had of a motel with outside entry (I had two small children with me) my mother who booked the room called and spoke with the manager. They were extremely gracious and offered to honor an online special which have us the room for only $43 per night. Upon arrival late at night, we quickly received our keys and were able to park relatively near our room, which overlooked the pool area. The room was extremely clean. While rather damp, we were able to remedy that after fiddling with the a/c for a bit. The bed was on the firm side but again very clean. With small children, I was thankful for thick walls as we did not hear a sound from anyone else not did we receive complaints during nightly feedings with a crying baby. During our stay we utilized the pool. It could use some repair to the tiles, but it was clean and our son enjoyed it. The best part of our stay was the outstanding customer service. We were blown away with how kind everyone was. Overall I was very hesitant to book this property based on my previous experience of only booking indoor entry hotels. Apart from a right budget it would never have been something I considered. But I am so glad that I did because we didn't have any complaints! read more

Other then the water pressure and the creepy noise from the ice maker this hotel was great we had room 327 two double beds because we brought our kids with us. The check in guy was amazing he even let us check in early for an extra $30 trust me after 8 hours on the road the $30 was worth every penny. About 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta, right on a strip where you can find any food and attractions this is a really great deal for $60/ night you won't find a better deal. They did offer a continental breakfast but we didn't go so sorry to tell you I can't rate their breakfast or room service overall I am very happy with our stay! read more

After 6 nights in 6 different motels on a round trip adventure from New Orleans to New York City, the Brick Lodge in Norfolk was hands down our best stay. We didn't want to spend a ton, since it was more of a work trip than a vacation, and tried to keep all of our stays under $70 a night, which also meant our expectations were kept equally low. I don't feel you are entitled to write a shitty review about a budget motel... If you expect a Hilton experience, you should expect to pull a Hilton amount of $ out of your wallet. Each and every person I dealt with was professional and friendly. The room was clean with no gross musky sex and cigarette motel odor. The blankets were a decent quality and most importantly, did not feel like I was snuggling a Brillo pad. HUGE televisions in the room, with lots of channels to choose from. I didn't realize they had a pool when I picked it late the night before, but I woke up a bit early to hop in it before hitting the road in the morning. The pool is large, clean, with plenty of lounging chairs and shade for a pasty white girl to hide out in. The coffee was fresh and they had a few assortments of pastries out to grab a quick bite. While the area it's located in is maybe not the best neighborhood, the motel is safe, gated and patrolled. If you are scared of people that do not look like you, I digress: go get a room at the Hilton. If you are looking for a nice, clean motel in the Norcross, GA area, this is a great option. If you are looking for all the bells and whistles, and are the type of jerk who writes bad reviews because the hotel is a bit outdated, you should probably go get a room at the Hilton. (Which you probably won't do, because your a jerk, and most likely a cheap asshole.) This was an excellent budget motel experience, and I would absolutely stay here again if I found myself in Norcross, Georgia. read more

My son and I was staying in the motel for about two weeks without incident. The stay was nice the front desk guys we not mean at first. My son and I both work late nights and check out is 11am. My son had an issue with his card went to fix it and after that paid for 3 more night. He got to the room the manager came to our room and told us to leave. So because we added days after 11 we were asked to leave. Also we paid within the hour. It was very unprofessional and embarrassing mostly because we had paid in full and he did not give us a reason for not letting us stay in a room we paid for. read more

I chose this hotel by the reviews and the price. Very reasonable rates especially for the Atlanta area and easy on and off access from 85. When we arrived we noticed an odd type area with an RV park or something in the back, but the exterior was nice looking and there is another hotel next door. The area was a little questionable in our mind at first. The desk clerk was very nice and seeing me struggle to get out of the car I had been in for 8 hours he put us on the ground floor around back in a handicap accessible room. Parking is right at your door. My husband was less than thrilled at being in the back because he was worrying about security. No need to worry about that, the parking lot at night is lit up like a ball field. The room was very clean, smelled fresh and the bed was comfortable. The AC worked great as well and didn't have that odd smell they sometimes have. We were also pleasantly surprised to see a large TV, not a small one. This hotel was a disappointment. I stayed here with my family on a trip from DC for about 4 days and 3 nights. Let's see where do I start....first let me say that the customer service from the front desk staff members was very pleasant. The lady whom we checked in with was very nice. We checked out with a guy at about 4am and he was very pleasant. He even offered us pastries and coffee since we were checking out so early before breakfast started. Great customer service hands down. Now let's get started on this room....so many things were wrong. First thing I noticed was there were hardly any available outlets to charge my electronic devices. Second, the microwave smelled like it had been blown up previously. Third, I had a huge pregnant roach in my room climbing up the mirror next to the tv. Yuck! Fourth, the carpet was damp. Horrible experience with the night shift desk clerk who evicted my fiancé and I for feeding a kitten in our car that we rescued yesterday while on vacation (and which we never brought into the room). The clerk - a tall, white man in his late 50's began yelling at me for questioning him about the aggressive way he was talking to me. After shouting/yelling at me, the clerk refused to tell me his name and said "your (credit) card is a dud anyways" which is not true because it just worked at the next hotel. He also accused us of having "pot in the room" which is also not true. My fiancé was afraid to leave me alone in the room for a second with him while we were clearing it out as this man is clearly irrational and violent. This hotel does not train all of their employees. Please stay away and spend the night elsewhere especially if you are a woman. If anything were to go wrong for you this could be a very dangerous place. We are currently shaken to the core. Edit: The woman who checked us in was very nice and professional. She was gone, however, when the creepy violent man (who would not give me his name) took over for the night. I really liked staying here. 01/11/15-01/13/15 room #244. My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights here. There are many restaurants and stores near by for a quick dive to take care of hunger-munching-cravings. There is room service, it is open late, but why order when you can discover the surroundings, right?! Easy access to highway 85 and only a few minutes from Atlanta. Our room was always taken care of and we were always provided with our asking (extra towels, extra pillows etc) btw, beds were comfy.. That was a plus. read more

Worst experience I've ever had in a hotel. We are from Houston trying to escape a hurricane. Diving all night, woke up late to shower with our home being under water and everything. We were being kicked out at 11:41, I understand check out was at 11, wasn't even offered the late check out, didn't knock on our door when they know they had people staying in that room and a bald, white man stood outside the door holding the door as I showered. Runnnnn as fast as you can I do not recommend staying at this hotel/motel I booked it because of the good reviews in the location but unfortunately I checked in late and an hour later I woke up itching I had bedbug bites all over my whole back in my arms I told her the check in front lady and she apologized she put me in another room but I was so terrified and itching all over my body and back that I could not sleep I did not sleep all night and when I checked out I told the manager but they said they can't find it which was a lie since I took pictures and showed it to them . I guess you get what you pay for and also creepy people were walking around at night I seen Drug activities on the lower floor which made me really uncomfortable staying there too.Another guy in his car parked in a parking lot watched me the whole time unloading and walking to my room from his car which was super creepy since I was by myself a young female. Hey listen up fellow travel guests, My friends and I have stayed here 3 -years in a row, every time we attend the Road Atlanta; Petit le Mans Sports Car Series Races in nearby Braselton Ga. The Brick Lodge used to be called Guest House Inn and Suites. They broke off from corporate and became privately owned and operated. The important thing is VALUE for your money, SECURITY in a safe, brick hotel with steel doors, and Location, Location, Location (!) ; 35-40 minutes to Downtown Atlanta and / or the Road Atlanta Races in either direction. The same folks have been working here at Brick Lodge for years and years. It means they care about their employees and the workers are happy. The whole place is clean; from the immaculate grounds around the facility to the Whole Top Floor (which are all non-smoking rooms). Huge rooms, comfy beds, microwave, big TV's, big bathrooms, a mini fridge for all of your snacks and drinks--not stuffed with expensive Hotel Junk !! Plus, there are gas stations and restaurants galore within a five minute drive, an ATM / bank within 75 yards of the front desk and easy access to I-85. I do not understand ANY of the negative reviews on here? We have had nothing but good times and great service at the Brick Lodge. Give them a try and see for yourself. read more

Clean, convenient and super affordable. I enjoyed this hotel and will be staying there every time I need to make a quick trip to ATL. The room was clean, the lot was well lit, plenty of parking and GREAT staff! The hotel was right off of the 85 Highway which made it easy to get back and forth from our various destinations. read more
