Gone to the brick house several times. The food is very inconsistent. Ranging from very tasty to outright terrible. This also applies to the service. Last night was terrible all around, and probably my last visit. Very slow kitchen, inattentive service and poor food quality (burnt patty, soggy toppings). Wasn't even busy inside the dinning area. Also frustrates me that you are forced to pay a minimum of 18% tip for service that ruins your night! That's what's wrong with workers these days. They get paid regardless on how they turn up! read more

Tuesday night I found the BrickHouse in downtown Peterborough. The craft beer and burgers sign out front grabbed my attention. Cool little place, really busy with locals and a great selection of music playing. Plenty of TV's with sports and entertainment. Based on my servers recommendation I went with the "She's a Brickhouse" burger and a cold Chambly on draft. Great angus beef burger, bbq sauce, fried onions, cheddar and bacon. Fantastic service from Shandell. 4-5 minutes after I ordered the owner Steve came out and greeted me, we chatted for a bit about sports and North Carolina. Certainly a place I will recommend. We are visiting family on the weekend and wanted some burgers so we stopped in here. My girls and I each had a burger and my husband had wings. It was so unbelievably good. We just had plain burgers but they were so tasty in the fries were so well seasoned and cooked he was absolutely fantastic. Now I'm just really sad that this is 3 hours away from my house. Highly recommend will be back next time I'm in town. read more

Ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it came with Thai sauce for dip it was delicious. Had the "google it" burger as an entree and it was also delicious! Also, ordered an alcoholic beverage, I believe it was called Georgia something so good especially if you like sweet drinks! And the blue Lagoon and it was super sweet and delicious. I have no complaints of the place. They have many option on the menu from different apps to different burgers. Service was also great, our server was super sweet and wasn't pushy at all! read more

Very good atmosphere and food. Im a vegetarian and I absolutely love their options for burgers. The portion sizes are amazing and will defiantly fill you up. Received a coupon for a free burger and fries so we went to lunch today. Decor was very interesting, too bad we couldn't sit at all the tables and read all the stuff, it was a little cold but the server said the boiler was acting up and hadn't been fixed yet. Wife had fish and chips, she liked the fish but found fries over cooked as did I. The coleslaw was good. To my surprise the burger was 7oz. Not 4' the bun was toasted and very good unfortunately every thing got cold quickly, the meat was dry and not juicy. Music was a good inoffensive selection. All in all we will go back as it was a nice place, with great service and acceptable food. read more

I've been to the Brickhouse numerous times because of their delicious burgers and reasonable prices. I have never been disappointed meal here. However on several occasions the staff have been very slow , even when the restaurant is very quiet. The staff also seem disinterested and even bored to be working , they are not very helpful and often seem annoyed when guests ask questions. Because of this I've recently tried ordering delivery from here , only to find out the delivery charges are jacked up so much it discourages you from ordering. We went here when it was The Works a couple of times and didn't really have a good experience. I joined the emailing list and when it became The Brickhouse they sent me a free bday dinner so we decided to go there. It was a busy night with people stopping in before the free concert by Our Lady Peace. We were a party of 4 and owner Steve Stewart stopped by our table a few times to see how things were and to apologize for the delay. The burgers were amazing! The server was friendly and we were impressed with the difference of food quality between the old place and new. We will definitely visit again. read more

The pulled pork poutine is a bust! You MUST like bbq sauce as it is mostly bbq sauce and barely any gravy and the "cheese curds"... are not. It is nothing more then chunky processed mozzarella! Gross! To add insult to injury, our server never refilled our bar drinks or even checked on us after we received our food. They did take the nasty poutine off our bill which is the only reason we'd ever go back. read more

We were in Peterborough and just happened to walk by the Brick House and decided to stop for lunch. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. Our server was very friendly. We ordered from the lunch menu and were extremely happy with the size and quality of the food. I highly recommenced the Brick House and plan on returning soon. read more

My wife and I find ourselves coming back here for dinner time after time. The burgers are delicious (the she's a brick house with a chicken breast being a personal fave), and close proximity to Galaxy Cinema makes this a great stop for a pre-movie dinner. This place is a dump! My wife, son and i came to the Brickhouse since we were craving good food and beer. Terrible! First of all, the restaurant was half full and service took about 45 min for 2 sandwiches, second, the fries were soggy, under cooked & lukewarm. i had the chicken Parmesan sandwich and instead of marinara sauce like the menu says, they used buffalo Franks Hot Sauce. The server said she would take it off the bill but only took off 50%. My wife had the Brickhouse burger, it had burnt fried onions, bland bbq sauce and a plain old under seasoned beef patty, also with lukewarm, under cooked, soggy fries. I had a pint of Port Hope craft beer which is usually delicious, this one was warm and flat! My wife's diet coke was fantastic! Bravo. I gave this review 2 stars because the service was actually pretty good, pleasant young woman and she grabbed fries (warm, under cooked, soggy) for my crying baby. Just a shithole!!!
