Probably came on a bad day at height of rush hour. So I gave them an extra star. Says they are famous for chicken and ribs so I ordered the combo. The good - server was very friendly. Everything came to the table warm. Server brought a nice dessert to end meal (complimentary). The okay - chicken meat was tasty and cooked nicely. Bread rolls came warm on a warm plate. The bad - BBQ sauce is sickly sweet. Chicken skin was not crispy in and way. Kind of soggy and didn't look like it had seen a BBQ grille or rotisserie. No sign of any caramelization. From walking in to leaving we spent about an hour and 1/4. So definitely not some place you go for a quick bite! The ugly - ribs were side ribs. The end part. Where it's really fatty, grisly and not much meat and not even much of a rib. The part you should never be serving to paying customers if you want them to return. The meat was soggy and no indication this had been smoked or grilled or ever put near an open flame. Combined with the sweet sauce it was not really edible in any quantity. For $60 for two I think you can do better. read more

The food and the staff is the reason to come here. I was in Peterborough for work and wanted a local restaurant that had good bbq. Found it. The food is great. But the staff is super friendly, which is why I keep coming back. Had Chicken and Rib combo which was delicious. Perfectly cooked Ribs were tender and fall off the bone. Different trip I had the Personal Pot Roast mixed seasonal vegetables and loaded baked potato. The beef was so tender and the gravy...defies description. Word of advice save room for their pies. The home made cream pies (chocolate and coconut) are to die for. Place can get busy at dinner time so after 7pm rush dies down a little. I will return to try their Chicken Pot Pie. read more

Food and service are great. I had the blue cheeseburger and fries and it was perfectly cooked and tasty. My overzealous son got the 20 minute challenge. You'll see in the pictures how ridiculous it is. It's a huge foot-long Kabasa with pilled pork, peppers, cheese and other various items on it with a side of poutine with more pulled pork on it. It was painful watching him, but the dish did look delicious. I think he might have a heart attack though. read more

Came after 8pm on a Friday, it was not busy and the service was quick and efficient. I ordered a chicken wrap and a poutine. The wrap was awesome, super thick and filling. The poutine was good but I've definitely had better. Would definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

Amazing family restaurant. I've been going there for years. Their 1/4 with lattice fries is the best I would 100% recommend to anyone.

The service is great and the food is excellent. New menu is fantastic. You will not leave hungry!

Marty Moo's was a favorite spot I would look forward to whenever I'm in Peterborough. Well this last visit and I can cross this place off as a must stop to must pass. We came, ordered a salmon which was done perfectly. But the New York steak done medium came well done, no pink and dry, the rack of pork spareribs were burnt, we complained and they redid the ribs but it was still burnt. Sweet potato fries may be substituted for the regular fries for a dollar more. Their rolls were very good. Overall, I'm disappointed in the quality of their along with relatively high prices for what we got. Open daily 1100-2200 hours, parking lot. Credit cards accepted. read more

So we've lived in Peterborough a year or so and always wanted to try Marty Moo's. Well we did last night and I'd give it four out of five. The waitress ( Tova?) was great, super friendly and took great care of us, the food was absolutely amazing, my two young guys are usually fussy eaters but they couldn't get enough last night, the wings, ribs, Nachos and bruschetta were all great. The only things that were disappointing were the wait time for food (25 minutes from the time we ordered) and the place was chilly, both my wife and kids were cold and we were not near the door. read more

We visited Marty Moo's on the recommendation of a friend while in the Peterborough area. They are known for their chicken and ribs so of course we included that in our order. We did order kids meals for our children which included Kraft Dinner, a hot dog and fries. The hot dog was your typical dog although I did find it a bit strange that they spit it down the middle to cook it which for a very picky 3 year old, was a bit unsettling. We had to put it back together before convincing him to take a bite. On to the adult meals: My husband ordered the chicken and rib platter with a baked potato and coleslaw. The ribs were really good- char grilled and tender. The chicken was a bit small but also pretty good although not outstanding. I ordered the fish and chips (a greek salad substituted for the fries). The fish was your standard fillet that arrived hot although I was a bit disappointed that it appeared to be a frozen fillet instead of a freshly battered one. Also, the tarter sauce was in those little packets instead of on the side of the plate. I tend to steer clear from tarter sauce that required no refrigeration for years on end.... The greek salad had a lot of feta in in but way too much dressing. My husband enjoyed his meal although he did comment that the baked potato was hard and really tiny for what it was. For desert we ordered a slice of Cherry pie which was really good. I would definitely buy a whole pie to take home again if we are ever in the area. All in all it was decent although nothing to write home about and we probably would not go out of our way to visit this place again. If we do visit again, I will probably order the chicken pot pie which I hear is made from scratch. The one thing that was outstanding was the friendly staff. The waitress was personable, friendly and welcoming. read more
