How some explorers decanted into some caves
    Roger R.

Great tour guide; just right amount of narrative and interaction with the group. Cave system was neat. This isn't my first cave visit - in fact have quite a few, but this may of been the best. Tour guide looked about 15 but did a great presentation of the bridal cave regarding all the marriages that have taken place there. Very interesting to see how many couples come back for a redo of vows. I definitely recommend this cave visit!

(and then some!) Bridal Cave is absolutely breathtaking and truly lives up to its name as one of the most amazing caves we've ever visited. One of the highlights was seeing the Guardian Angel stalagmite--it was awe-inspiring and felt incredibly special. Our tour guide, Tripsy, was phenomenal. Her knowledge, passion, and storytelling brought the cave to life in a way that made the experience unforgettable. The magical moment when she used her black light to create the fairy dust illusion on the cave walls was pure enchantment--it felt like stepping into a hidden, magical world. It was also wonderfully romantic to see all the wedding photos from the couples who have been married inside the cave. Knowing so many love stories began in such a sacred, beautiful place made the experience even more meaningful and special. And the Mystery Lake... wow. The water was absolutely pristine, glowing with stunning shades of teal, green, and blue--so clear and beautiful it almost didn't seem real. We give Tripsy 50 stars for making this tour so exceptional. Bridal Cave is a must-see, romantic, and magical experience we will never forget. Thanks Anina and James

I highly recommend this! Addy was our guide and she was wonderful! It was beautiful and not a difficult walk through the cave. There is an added bonus that it was a lot cooler in the cave than the outside summer temperatures

Cool spot to let kids pan for stones and interesting history about the cave. I always find it interesting how they find these caves.

Guided tour. All the employees are very kind and really enjoy telling you about the cave. Check online and see if you can get your ticket ahead. You might not need to buy ahead. We had a group of 7. It's early September, and the cave has an even temperature inside. It takes about an hour, depending if you take your time and look at everything or if you stay right with the tour guide. They don't mind you looking around. I randomly thought about it and had a black light on me. I was in the back of the group checking out all the UV reacting rocks and minerals. There is mild climbing on steps and slopes. However, it's pretty easy. There are a couple of very skinny parts, but you can sneak through. Nature is amazing. I highly recommend it.

had a great experience at the black light tour at bridal caves. Tripsy was a great tour guide, the girls there are absolutely killing it running the gift shops and tours at the same time. you can tell they are very passionate

Missouri has many caves and we only wanted to see 2-3 so we read many reviews and they served us well. This cave was probably the best we have ever seen. Hattie did a great job in the tour ...both with the information and warning us of any safety issues. There are some areas you have to duck down and some tight areas. But we had no trouble. Gift shop was smallish but had some nice rocks. The tour takes approximately 55 minutes. Highly recommend this tour. My only complaints are i was surprised they don't give discounts to veterans and why print out pictures when many dont want to purchase. Another nearby cave gives the picture as a gift.

A little pricey as it is pretty short. But it's so pretty! We really enjoyed the cave

Started off breaking a ceramic piece in the gift shop within the first 2 minutes, to which the workers quickly assured me was no worry, and refused to let me pay for it (would've been $22.50 and tax). The black light underground cave tour was absolutely incredible. Was nervous and felt anxious as we started but i quickly was immersed in what ended up being a beautiful experience with some truly wonderful people. Tripsy was an energetic fun tour guide who shared information incredibly well with her personal anecdotes and jokes. Bri in the gift shop was so nice both before and after the tour, (a 2 hour difference) and her smile never wavered! Would recommend this experience for any and everyone!

The guide provided terrific information and history on the cave. It was a nice tour and we were able to take some pretty fantastic photos.

    So much to see.

Visiting a cave, I can't help but wonder what the first explorers felt when they discovered it. Did they realize how big it was? Did they appreciate the unique beauty? Bridal Cave is an active cave. Water drops everywhere are making those cool straws, stalagmites, and stalactites. You can experience science in person. I have visited caves with colorful light shows, but none are as packed with formations as this cave. The grounds outside the cave are beautiful too. If you're willing to spend the money for the tour, it's a fun experience. It is a full one hour of walking/standing, so if this is a challenge, I wouldn't recommend it. There are no places to sit. The walkway can be slippery, so closed toe shoes with rubber soles are best, and you might want a long sleeved shirt if you chill. There are some narrow pathways, so larger individuals (even very well endowed ones) may have to squish, and some may not fit through one space. Every staff member we met was very professional and polite. We were glad we went.

We came here in July- sorry for the late review, but I wanted to make it a point to let everyone know how amazing this spot is. We arrived mid morning and was able to book a tour within an hour of arriving. There were seven of us and there was no problem accommodating. They have a wonderful gift shop to browse while waiting. They have the coolest crystals, gems, salt lamps, jewelry, everything. They definitely got a bit of my money. The caves are incredible. The natural formations and the history is just amazing. The tour groups probably have about 30 people in each, and things can get a little tight, but it works. I wore flipflops, but if you tend to be unsteady on your feet, you may want shoes cause there are some slippery spots. Also, if you are afraid of right spaces, keep in mind that there are some tight spaces. Our tour guide was a young guy- maybe even a kid. He knew some history and cracked a few jokes, but the best part was admiring how beautiful everything was.

This tour was Cave-tastic! The views were absolutely beautiful. There definitely were some points where it got as low was four feet and some tight squeezes that you cannot get through if you're over 300 pounds.

We arrived very early for our scheduled tour, so decided to tour the outside of the building and take some photographs. A very cordial staff member came outside and invited us into the lobby to await our tour time. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. However, there were parts of the tour where background noise made it difficult to hear her. I would recommend anyone with any hearing impairment stay close to the guide to ensure you can hear the narration. Overall, we really enjoyed the tour and would love to revisit for one of the "ghost tours" on offer.

Her very first words were, "Why are you here?" -- no greeting, no courtesy, just instant hostility. We were only there to take a quick photo of the outside and look at the grounds, as we were considering renting the venue for a wedding. We're from out of town and were in the area just for the weekend, but she immediately accused us of trespassing instead of simply asking what we needed. To make things worse, she blocked the driveway so we couldn't turn around properly, forcing us to back through the grass rather than letting us move forward a couple of feet to the wider part of the drive. I'm also quite sure her behavior was influenced by my alternative haircut and color, which made the experience feel even more judgmental and discriminatory. We will never come back here or recommend this place to anyone.

I feel lucky to have had Michael Lear as our guide, he was absolutely brilliant and was a stellar storyteller! The prison itself is very interesting, has alot of history behind it and honestly a little chilling. Hearing about its dark history really makes you stop, think about life and human existence. The parts about solitary confinement and how tiny the cells were with several people stuffed in were especially shocking. Michael even took us down to the basement solitary area and turned off the lights for a full minute so we could feel what it was like. That part gave me chills. We also got to see the prison cells from the 1800s all the way up to more recent ones, and even the gas chamber. It was intense but very eye-opening. I highly recommend this tour 1000%! I was lucky enough to do the full eight hour overnight investigation, which means about 40 to 50 people with near free rein over three massive prison buildings in the middle of the night. Most of the time was spent breaking into small groups and exploring the grounds looking for paranormal activity, and for me that meant just me and one friend wandering dark cell blocks and corridors that felt completely abandoned. This is absolutely not for the faint of heart because there are long stretches where you truly feel alone, surrounded by silence, shadows, and your own racing thoughts. There were plenty of spine chills, more than a few moments where I questioned my life choices, and by the end of the night I walked out a full believer. It was intense, unforgettable, and easily one of the most fascinating and highly recommended adventures I have ever done.
