Doing the opposite of what TLC told me not to do back in the 90's.

Short easy hike up to the first section of the falls which is absolutely breathtaking. You're able to climb right up into the falls if you want or stand from afar and enjoy the mist. The second part of the hike up to the second waterfall is moderate. This hike is about 5 miles RT to the very top. Great workout and gorgeous views the whole way! A must do when in Telluride.

Easy, short, spectacular trail. Lace your boots and get up and out! Piece of cake, close to town and easy on the way down.

My wife had heard that Mild to Wild rafting took great care of their clients. Last year at this time, we were wading up the San Miguel river / stream and fly fishing. Shallow water, tranquil pools and great fishing made it a different weekend. When we booked this, I thought it must be a mistake as this stream did not seem strong enough for rafting and narrow in width. What a difference a year makes. The river was full, fierce with heavy water and good class 3 rapids for the next 1 1/2 hour. Big rocks, fast water, big snags and quick currents were the norm today. One had better stay in the boat, as it would troublesome swimming in 42 degree water. Alyssia, our guide was fabulous and serious about following her instructions. She navigated the rocks, snags and fast water. She maneuvered our boat well. For the next 1 1/2 hours, we had 3-4 foot swells and worked the entire trip. We have rafted many rivers and this was one of our shorter trips but a 5/5 on adventure. For a great adventure, beautiful scenery and a gorgeous day, raft with Mild to Wild. You will have a fun filled and adventurous memory for life.

It was our groups first time ever on Snow Shoes. We had our daughter and husband, her husband's parents and us. Needless to say, we were a bit apprehensive since there were 4 of us 60+ years of age and two 30 year olds. John and Tara were our guides. It was a cold and snowy day. They took us up to the tree line and zig and zag back and forth. If you are not use to the altitude be prepared to "suck some air". Make sure you plan to arrive a couple of days early before you try this activity so you can acclimatize yourself to the altitude. At the half-way point, we took a rest and they supplied hot chocolate. John did an avalanche test and demonstrated what they look at to report back to the authorities. This was very informative and just good to be sitting and resting. On the return trip we had lots of snow. This was so pretty and peaceful. If you have never snowshoe, make sure you try it and definitely with someone who knows what to do, where to go and get you out of a pickle when you lose your shoes/poles.
