There's a good broad menu and a starter and main course deal for £15.00 if you want it, the special I had was scallops with a white wine and smoked bacon sauce and creamy mash along with green veg, plenty on the plate and no skimping on the king scallops (5 on my plate, and big) which melted in my mouth. it was very reasonable as well, just shy of £12 for the plate. Good broad selection of bottled beets and Best and Magners on tap, though I suspect that if you asked ten you could get other draft beers etc from the bar as well.

I haven't been there now in some time, but deeply miss the place and fantastic views of the Lock and the surrounding Argyll countryside. Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

One of the owners, Frances, is also a beautiful artist and creates gorgeous paintings, you will NEED to check them out when visiting. She also has a beautiful path behind the hotel that will lead you up to her garden that she maintains herself. It's so fun that this hotel has a bar downstairs and a restaurant at the other end, I even believe there is an ice cream shop a few steps away outside. Everything you need is here for a relaxing getaway. We cannot wait to go back someday.

We stayed in the Stewart room, on the upper floor, with a beautiful view over Loch Gilp. It was pretty rainy the day we stayed, but when the sun came out the view was incredible. The bed was comfortable and quiet. The one part of the room/stay we didn't really enjoy was the electric shower, which was either scalding or cold. But other than that, the room was great. The hosts, Philip and Caroline, were outstanding. We had breakfast in the dining room and talked with Caroline about the area and things to do for the day, as well as spoke with the only other guest in the house. Breakfast was delicious, including fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, and hot food. Additional great aspect of this B&B? They don't accept children, so if you are a couple looking for a nice place to stay, this is a wonderful option. We highly recommend this spot!
