This house is just full of history, which the hosts are more than happy to share with you during your stay. We stayed for a single night in September 2018 and had a wonderful time.
We stayed in the Stewart room, on the upper floor, with a beautiful view over Loch Gilp. It was pretty rainy the day we stayed, but when the sun came out the view was incredible. The bed was comfortable and quiet. The one part of the room/stay we didn't really enjoy was the electric shower, which was either scalding or cold. But other than that, the room was great.
The hosts, Philip and Caroline, were outstanding. We had breakfast in the dining room and talked with Caroline about the area and things to do for the day, as well as spoke with the only other guest in the house. Breakfast was delicious, including fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, and hot food.
Additional great aspect of this B&B? They don't accept children, so if you are a couple looking for a nice place to stay, this is a wonderful option. We highly recommend this spot! read more
