Then we had windows & siding installed in our house, that was a total mess. They used a non licensed contractor (owner's brother-in-law & his brother) windows are more drafty than the ones they replaced. Installed in September of 2005? started complaining that December of drafts, they came out every winter after that assuring us the windows were installed correctly. Finally we had Unique come out to inspect, they found major problems. ABP's insurance settle for damages but not for installation problems, ABP finally settled for a minor amount of what we paid in 2015 saying we had use of the windows all that time, even though we complained every year. The siding was installed from the top down instead of the bottom up, there is no starter plate on the bottom, owner said "if you look at your neighbor's siding you will see the same thing" WRONG!!! The main problem I have with this company other than the above is that the owner's are friends of my parents & if they can treat us this way how will they treat others.

I called my sales consultant, David, on Sunday letting him know that I wanted to move forward with the project. I explained that I had a very busy week coming up and he offered to meet me that day, which was his day off, so that I didn't have to miss any time at work. We talked, he shared the history of the company (30 yrs in business, I remember correctly) and reviewed what we were hoping to replace- he showed me what Shading Solutions could do- measured, twice, and we were on our way. The date he told me to anticipate our awnings should be delivered and one week before, contacted me to say we are on schedule! The awnings were delivered and we set a date for installation. The day before, Kurt Lamothe, the installer, came to look at the awnings and to check out the job site, impressive! Not waiting for 'day of ' - being proactive shows professionalism ~ so appreciated in this day! The installers show up, again, professional and friendly and EARLY! Again, I was impressed because as they're installing, Joe, my sales guy, shows up just to make sure all is going well and that I was satisfied. He even texted me after to say there is a windy storm rolling in so make sure to roll up the awnings as they were just installed. The guys picked up all the wrappings and left not one piece behind. I contacted Larry through Yelp, and he was very responsive. He came out a few hours later to give.me.an estimate. The price was fair and he seemed reliable, so I hired him to do the work in 3 or 4 days. Due to weather and scheduling other projects, he actually came out just 2 days later. It was fantastic to drive up to my house and see a brand-new gate. Larry and his assistant were finishing up with the post. They had to remove a patch of concrete, then pour new concrete. The new post is very sturdy. Both of them were polite and friendly. Larry said he prefers cash or cashier's checks for payment. Based on this job, I highly recommend Heartland.
