It's important to check the business's Facebook page to know when it is scheduled to run; it seems to be the most updated method to keep track. I recently caught a break and was able to ride from Fort Morgan to Dauphin Island. It really does run like clockwork and the views are cool as you're crossing. It's important to note for riders: there is really no coverage from the sun, so wear sunscreen. I'd definitely ride the ferry again, it beats that looong drive back and forth from one island to another.

They explain it all on one the historic markers inside the fort. Fort Gaines is one of the better kept up forts that i have been to amongst my travels around 'Merica. The cost is 10.00 per person unless you have an old or very young person discount. You pay in the gift shop where you can get the usual fair before entering the fort. Inside, you can follow the pamphlet along a self-guided tour. They have barracks for the various ranks, a kitchen, bakery, different gunports and tons of markers talking about the history of the fort and various battles in Mobile Bay. There is a small museum inside the fort too and it focuses on Dauphine Island as a whole not just the fort. Don't forget to check out the old latrine but don't use it if you are shy and if there is low tied. No seriously don't use it, it's frowned upon by the staff and there is no TP.

I had a 5 year old, an 8 year old and a 17 year old with me. We went out 25-30 miles from shore and everytime we put our lines in the water we got a bite. The kids were having a blast. I was worried about being 6 hours on the water but it was so much fun! it was easy to book a boat and the captain and Austin made it memorable. worth every penny!! The boat was clean and had all the supplies, the Captain showed us what to do and Austin was there to help with anything. all I had to do was pack some snacks and water and we were on a roll. I would recommend this company any day. I would trust them with my family anytime. They even cleaned our fish and told me how to cook it. thank you for the wonderful time, the kids won't forget it.

When we arrived the gentleman behind the desk said he would put us on the next day trip and he would call by 5:00. No phone, we called back and found out that there was not a charter. Bad customer service. And the gentleman behind the desk said that "he did not have to do anything for us" meanwhile we lost 1hr drive time to this charter on Sunday morning. Maybe look elsewhere.
