Went here to get a second opinion after being in a serious vehicle accident. I ended up with bulging discs and a herniated disc in my back. Also ended up with a popped out rib. Was told it didn't hurt that bad by the PA and laughed at by her. Also told I had appendicitis by the PA when my rib was popped out. This PA told me to discontinue physical therapy since it didn't seem to be helping even though I had only gone two weeks. Wouldn't approve more physical therapy after I finished the approved sessions. Went a month without it till I could go somewhere else. Now I'm dealing with nerve problems in my hands and arms from it. I would never go to these guys ever again. They don't care or have their shit together. I've had better luck from St. James and St. Vincent's. read more

Dr. Curry did a total knee replacement for me December 2025. With the help of Jess at Bridger Orthopedic Belgrade PT, I was able to hike up and down the mountains for a week in June 2026. My knee is feeling the best it has in a very long time! read more

I had knee surgery at Bridger several years ago for a torn meniscus. The surgeon told me I would need a replacement in a year or two so I asked to just do the replacement at that time to avoid two surgeries. He refused so I agreed to the meniscus repair. I was in more pain (excruciating) after the surgery than before, my knee wasn't healing properly and there was a lot of fluid discharge. It was so hard to get through to my provider by phone and my messages went unanswered. I finally went to their office and was seen pretty quickly (probably because they didn't want other patient's witnessing a patient crying uncontrollably in the waiting room.) An ex-ray showed that the surgeon had left a glob of something in my knee so he had to do another surgery to remove it. When I woke up he told me i needed a knee replacement; Just what I wanted to avoid. Of course I went elsewhere for my knee replacement. also felt like they move patients through as quickly as possible probably to maximize their profit. Their follow up is terrible. I know two other people who had unsatisfactory results from joint replacement surgeries at Bridger. read more

Ok....2.5 maybe. I went in there with knee pain, pre-surgery PT. I was seen very quickly but the treatment was nothing I expected. Jason poked my knee a few times and asked me what hurt. He then came back with a syringe ands a cortisone injection. Everything was fine until it wasn't!!! I received zero follow up instruction at all. I felt fine so I thought I could do a light peloton low impact spin. 2 hours later I could barely walk from the pain. Next time give the patients follow up instructions so they know what they can and can't do!!!!!! read more

Been a patient there , last experience for a follow-up and recommendation as to how to proceed was : we don't feel we can help . That's the short end of it. We went from: we could do an RFA, which I had questioned , to, sorry we can't help you . Very unprofessional. I fractured my pelvis which Bridger referred me for an MRI. The radiologist recommended a CT to see if there was a fracture into my hip socket. It's been 3 days and I still haven't had the CT or seen a doctor. Am in excruciating pain and they do not return my calls. read more

I settled a bill over 2 months ago, and yet they continue to bill me. I spoke with their billing manager, and she provided me with a breakdown of my account. She informed me that the bill was paid. Unfortunately, there is a disconnect between billing and accounts receivable because they still send me bills! I have spoken with them no less than 3 times and provided them with written documentation. Their front desk staff are not helpful and very dismissive. I went to an urgent care, and to the ER in Butte for a very large sliver over an inch long that got lodged in my hand. It was very deep and both places sent me away and did not help me and didn't remove it. I went to Bridger Orthopedic Urgent Care, and was greeted with compassion and immediate help from Thia at the front desk, and Erin the amazing nurse there, took me right back. Sarah the PA came right in and confidently removed the sliver within minutes. These women were amazing, supportive, and surrounded me with support. Bridger Ortho is probably fine for more routine bone breaks and the like (hence my 2 stars rather than 1), but they are terrible if you have an acute serious back problem. I herniated a disc and was told I couldn't see a spine specialist for 2 and a half months. I ended up with a life-threatening bacterial infection in the disc and surrounding vertebrae, vertebral osteomyelitis, and despite several ER visits with symptoms pointing to this condition, I was never able to convince Bridger Ortho to give me an earlier appointment. I ended up in crisis mode and an ambulance ride to St. Vincent's hospital in Billings. Truly, I wish I had gone there first. After nearly 3 weeks of a hospital stay (with excellent care at St. Vincent's), I was hoping to have a local provider in Bozeman for my follow-up herniated disc recovery. But no, Bridger Ortho just called and informed me that they would not treat me, because their spine specialists are too busy. I'm sticking with St. Vincent's. If I had gone there first, my prognosis would likely have been much better, and I could have avoided months of excruciating pain. read more

I was pleased to find an urgent care that specialized in orthopedic care as my knee was in bad shape after a lot of traveling. When I arrived they told me that it was going to be 1.5 hour but I could leave and they would call when my slot came up which is great. By the time I finished the paperwork the wait was down to about 15 minutes and they saw me even before that. They we very nice and efficient. Told me that it was arthritis and gave me a shot. I deducted one star as they neglected to tell me that there was a chance of short term inflammation and a good amount of pain. It came on about 2 hours after I got home. I googled it and it said it generally subsides in 24 - 48 hours which it did after 12 hours. The end result was good, but a heads up would have been good. read more

The medical staff might be okay but the customer service is abysmal. Rather than being friendly and helpful, they are very argumentative and not willing to go the extra mile. I could not get them to verify my insurance benefits vs. out-of-pocket expenses. They did not call me back when they promised. I was extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone. This is my second time under the care of Bridger Ortho and Dr. Jon Robinson, who performed my bunion surgeries. The first one happened 7 years ago, and the latest took place In October 2019. First, a word about Bridger Ortho itself. My experience has been that they run a tight ship, very organized and well oiled, which ensures that my own time is not wasted or spent in frustration. The whole business is designed to get people in and out on time, and make it an easy, stress free experience. Jon Robinson is an excellent surgeon who inspires confidence. I have heard tell that his bedside manner leaves something to be desired, but if so, it never bothered me. My first surgery was flawless, the pain gone within weeks. The second one has not produced the same flawless results, as 3 months later I'm still experiencing pain. However, I'm confident that this will be rectified shortly. read more

I have broken many many bones and have had surgery quite a few times. I have been to different Orthopedic centers mainly in other states. I read some of the negative reviews, and yes it took them a week to see me after I broke my wrist yet when I called all of the other centers in the area they didn't have anything sooner either. I guess I got lucky with Dr. Schwartzenberger. I don't come to the Dr for bedside manner; tell me what's wrong, how to fix it, and where to go from there. If I wanted to pay to be lied to I would go to teasers. Yet Dr. Schwartzenberger was pleasant, nice and took the time to thank me for my service. I was in, examined, X-ray'ed, put in a cast and was out within an hour, the followup was faster. They did go past my arrival time by a whopping 15 minutes and I waited in the exam room for about 5 minutes, the waits are nothing here. read more

They were rude and I felt they did NOT want to do much to help my situation and just want people to keep coming back and take my money. When I asked if my job could be part of my pain situation MS Lipp said possibly and for me to get another job , but when i asked if she would write a note stating so she gave me Lipp and said she would not do that. read more

I don't normally leave reviews. But in this case, I believe it is warranted. I went to Bridger Ortho Urgent care for some muscular pain in my arm and shoulder. The PA on staff was clueless. After I told him and showed him that I had a normal range of motion and that I did not show any signs of numbness down my arm or in my hand. He said he wanted to take a shoulder x-ray. I declined that procedure because none of my symptoms were related to joint or bone. Since he had no idea what he was doing, I asked if I could be referred to someone who might be able to help me get to the bottom of the issue. He had the staff set something up. They booked me 2 appointments at the main office. No one could tell me what procedures they would be doing or what the cost would be, just that the doctors were specialists in the condition I was dealing with. Fast forward 2 months and I'm going to my appointments to see the specialists. I'm taken back to a room and give some tests to check for nerve damage in my lower arm, an area in which I didn't have any symptoms. Neither of the providers at this visit took the time to do a proper orthopedic exam. Everything felt really rushed. When the test was done, I was trying to tell them that the things they were testing did not address the problem I was seeking help for. At that point, one of them did a few orthopedic tests on my shoulder and moved me to another room where I waited for about 10 minutes. Then the female provider came in a repeated a few orthopedic tests that the male provider had just done. She stated that they in fact needed to do some additional tests to address my area of concern. She left the room and about 5 minutes later came back in and told me we were all done for the day and that I could come back to my second appointment the next day. She gave no reason why we weren't finishing the testing, but it was obvious that they were booked back to back and didn't have time. The following day I arrived and was taken back to see a different provider. This doctor repeated the same few orthopedic tests that the other two had done and in about 3 minutes simply said: It looks like you have some adhesions in your shoulder that are irritating a nerve. You should go see a PT for nerve flossing. This recommendation was accurate but should have been made by the first person I saw at their Urgent Care for $170. The testing they did was completely unnecessary and seeing 2 specialists just to be given the advice to do some nerve flossing is ludicrous. The costs associated with this were originally billed at around $1500. After our insurance reduced their allowable charges I ended up paying over $800 out of pocket. I don't know if my experience is the result of tactics to maximize revenue on a per-patient basis or just incompetence, but the end result is the same. Really expensive advice. In Bozeman, we have good alternatives to Bridger Ortho. My suggestion is to use them and avoid Bridger Orthopedic. read more

Met with foot and ankle specialist, MD Jon Robinson yesterday. Despite x-ray confirmation of a bone spur under my Achilles Tendon, I was given the distinct impression that my condition was self-caused and that all I needed to do was to avoid walking on inclines and to simply stop activity if experiencing pain. After the appointment, my wife and I realized that Robinson's demeanor during the appointment appeared rushed and did not include a professional introduction, meaningful eye contact and/or any reasonable opportunity for patient communication/interaction. Overall, we felt that Robinson's personality during the appointment was somewhat arrogant and demonstrated a gross lack of patient empathy. WILL NOT BE RETURNING!! The RA didn't explain the procedure well enough and I went into the surgery without even having an understanding of what the surgeon was doing to me. I would not recommend Bridger Orthopedic, at least for knee problems. I got a second opinion because my knee pain was not being taken care of there. They had told me that I had bruised bone and arthritis. All they did was give me steroid injections and told me to take ibuprofen for the pain. I had told the doctor that the injections weren't working anymore and still that is all they did. I found out later that I have dead bone in my knee and damaged cartilage in my left knee. They didn't take care what was going on and didn't do more than injections. And they blew off my husband when he needed surgery. All they did for him was injections and PT. read more

I was seen by Kara Haskell, PA-C, for an evaluation of my left hip and cortisone injection. I had virtually no wait in the reception area. Everyone assisting me was extremely friendly, efficient, and professional. I had x-rays and an injection all within approximately 30 minutes. I did not have to sit in the examining room for an extended period of time as is common with so many medical groups. Kara Haskell performed the intra articular cortisone injection using ultrasound guidance. The procedure was quick with minimal discomfort. All of my questions were answered completely. I cannot imagine a more positive experience than I had at the west campus of Bridger Orthopedics. I recommend the group in general and Kara Haskell, PC-A, in particular without reservation. read more

My experience has been horrible in Livingston. They can not keep a doctor here which says a lot. You can not call the offices here you have to call Bozeman their automated phone system does not give you an option for Livingston or to just talk to a person. I keep going to the hospital trying to see someone but no one is ever at their front desk. It is really clear that they do not give a crap about their patients. Go anywhere else for treatment if you ever want to function properly again. read more

Absolutely horrible service! Our family has been going here for the past 9 years, we both have had major orthopedic surgeries and yet every time we go in they act like they have never seen us before! Continuously redoing their records. And wait times are getting terrible- 1 1/2 hour seems to be the norm. Always an excuse as to why they are so behind, but no apologies. We will not be going back though the last knee surgeon my husband had was great, he no longer is doing knee replacements. I am sure there are other very good orthopedic surgeons in Bozeman.
