We stayed here for a little Valentine's Weekend Getaway from the hustle & bustle of the DC Metro area. It was our first Valentine's Day together & we wanted it to be special. During COVID, we liked that our room had its own exterior door & that we could eat breakfast in our room. Our room was beautiful & decorated in floral lavender. The bed was comfortable & the fireplace made it very cozy during a very cold & snowy weekend. The inn & grounds were also gorgeous & well kept. We would like to be able to explore more of the inn's common areas when we return post COVID. We LOVED the breakfast. It was unique and absolutely delicious! The blueberry breakfast cake is something you should not miss! We also took advantage of the couple's massage at the in-house spa. It was professional, relaxing, & exceptionally well done. The Berry Patch is a beautiful place. The grounds are gorgeous. However, the room we ended up staying in was not the room we booked, which was very disappointing. The one we booked apparently had "maintenance issues", so we were placed in another room that we really weren't happy with. While it was functionally fine, it looked like it was straight out of a Golden Girls episode, and really wasn't what we wanted at all. We checked the refrigerator in the room and discovered that the previous occupant's leftovers were still there. There was also a dirty sock under the bed. Not even way under, I just bent down and saw it. It was also $25 cheaper than the room we booked, but we weren't refunded the difference. We really should've been informed beforehand that the room we booked wasn't available so we could make other plans. At the very least, we should've been refunded the difference between the room we booked and the one we ended up with. On to breakfast.... Unfortunately, it was nothing memorable. Fruit, a small cup of eggs and ham that my husband said tasted odd. French toast that was doused in sugary strawberry syrup. After we left we got breakfast at a diner nearby, which we DID enjoy. So overall, not a great experience. I think we would have enjoyed our stay a whole lot more if we'd actually been able to stay in the room we booked, but as it stands now, we probably won't be going back to the Berry Patch. read more

Drove in from NYC to attend the Groom Expo in Hershey. I was sold when I found out that Berry Patch is dog friendly and excited to bring my little ones. I booked one of the apartment cottages through Airbnb. It was adjacent to another apartment and our neighbors were quiet and friendly. The apartment was the right size for a short stay and had everything I needed. I don't watch much TV but was able to get Netflix and watch some movies. I was also able to stream on my tablet through their Wi-Fi, it can delay but I don't expect excellent service in the country. I've had bad experiences with cleanliness when checking in to rooms but this one did not disappoint. Very clean with fresh sheets and towels. During our daily walks on the property we saw ground keepers and other neighbors who greeted us with warm hellos. Was surprised to see a Koi Pond at the end of a little stream. Had an overall sense of relaxation and Zen. read more

My wife and I came to stay at Berry Patch over the winter 2020 because we both work long hours in a stressful city and needed to be out in nature for awhile. I wanted to make sure things would work out well so I asked Karen 10,000 questions. Her communication is unparalleled! She responds quickly and thoroughly. She also has a binder of stuff to do around the area. We arrived and the place was beyond our expectations. Our cabin was super clean, includes fast wifi, had all of the essentials (towels, soaps, electric stove, pot, pan, tableware, and everything worked (hot water, electricity, etc.) We came in the middle of February when the temperatures were below 32'F. Something I really wanted was an outdoor fireplace- and Berry Patch had one waiting for us right outside our door. We utilized it all 4 nights and was super relaxing to get in touch w nature. Her property has great variety- a few private cabins- each with its own unique size & rooms inside her super lovely home. We went for a few hikes on her 20 acre land. It was cold but still super nice getting up those hills and watching the sunset. Horses are nearby and we stopped to say hello- very friendly. Pricing is more than fair. My wife and I needed to be remain in our budget and Karen was flexible with us. Thanks Karen and family- you'll be seeing us again this summer, hopefully fall, and winter again! read more

This review is way overdue and for that I apologize to Bunny and her amazing B&B. I've been wanting to finish this 5 star review for over a year. I was looking for a place to stay in late August 2015. I had a great birthday week planned full of beer, baseball and catching up with some friends in south central PA. It had been a rough summer so I wanted to treat myself to a hotel stay my first night on the road. I came across the majestic Berry Patch Bed and Breakfast and didn't think twice. Especially when I saw that a night's stay here was the same price as a nearby hotel. Berry Patch Bed & Breakfast was easy enough to find. Not too far from town but far enough that I felt a million miles away in this secluded paradise. When I showed up late in the afternoon, I was greeted by Bunny. She told me I was the only one staying there for the night and she upgraded my room. I wasn't going to complain about that. I settled in, exploring the beautiful grounds as the sun set. There's much to explore here including a koi pond outside and a lovely sitting room inside. While in the sitting room, I paged through photo albums that featured some of the weddings and events that have taken place here. Outside I was followed by the chickens who roam around freely. There are plenty of chairs and benches to just sit back, relax and enjoy a calm evening. In the dining room there are snacks and drinks for guests as well. I felt right at home. My cozy bedroom had its own bathroom, hot tub, TV and refrigerator (I think this is standard in all their bedrooms). There is even free wifi. I slept well in case you were wondering. And the next morning Bunny had a scrumptious breakfast waiting for me. Sure, my friend thought I was crazy to stay here when I was only about an hour from her house. But staying here meant I could take 2 days to make a 4 hour trip and stop at some great spots along the way. I'm glad to have found Berry Patch B&B and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. read more

Last year at my bridal shower, we were given a gift card for a Bed and Breakfast. A quick search on the BedandBreakfast.com website and all the excellent reviews of Berry Patch, we were set to go. It is incredibly close to everything, but is still set off in the woods, just off the road. It is incredibly quaint. Bunny and Charles are delightful hosts and make some great suggestions about places to grab a quick bite or to just relax. We stayed in the Whitetail Deer room (pictures uploaded). The room had a private exit to the outside. A firm queen size bed, 4 soft pillows and some of the gentlest blankets I have ever touched. There was a 2-person tub, and a separate private bathroom in room. A gas fireplace, dvd player and television, wifi and a mini-fridge were also in the room. Breakfast was served at 9. You could eat alone or with others at the B&B. While we were there, there was us and two other couples in their early/mid-30s, as well as two couples in the 60's. Bunny's breakfasts were delicious. She also does great with people who have dietary restrictions and always double checks to make sure she hasn't missed anything. In the same room as breakfast, there is always hot water for tea, coffee, and snacks (candy and popcorn). You can also borrow any of their DVDs or games. Overall, a B&B is not the type of place I would usually seek out. As an introvert, I like being lost in a crowd at a hotel, but Bunny made us feel like family from the time we arrived til the time we left. read more

We stayed at the Berry Patch B&B last evening and were 100% satisfied. We were in a ground floor room with a Jacuzzi that was nice and clean...as were all the rooms and amenities in the home. I see there is one previous review that mentioned the owners not being around much. Well, now there are new owners (since Jan 2019) and they also were on the grounds but didn't bother us after we checked in and we absolutely loved that! The chalet-styled house is big enough to have rooms for every occasion as they do events as well as being a B&B. The grounds around the house are beautiful and they have placed tables with a few chairs all through the grounds which gives you places to enjoy the quiet and have some privacy while doing so. Each room has a wall mounted TV - we didn't use ours, a mini fridge and a nice sized shower and bathroom. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. The group floor rooms open up onto a deck also and that was a lovely place to drink coffee, watch the sunrise and read if you liked. There was a Kurig coffee machine in the common area right outside our room door with snacks also. The breakfast was informal as a buffet and well served. Our morning they had good individual egg, cheese & ham quiches, pastries, fresh fruit and fantastic heavy cream. Juices, water, coffee were available also...coffee was strong and hot which is exactly how it should be served. They also brought out a fruit (blueberry) casserole straight from the oven piping hot. I had two servings with the cream on top and loved it. I was surprised when Karen, the B&B's new owner, told me they had just bought it four months ago because everything went so smoothly. Their children, ages 5 and 1 years old, were great and well behaved. Their 5 year old son loves company and will carry on a conversation for as long as you'd like! This was a very nice experience for a very reasonable price...especially if you like some privacy as we do. The other guests were pleasant also but you can be alone there if you wish. We will stay there again if we decide to travel to that area of PA in the future. It isn't a 'luxury' place where you are continually fawned over...but is clean, comfortable and lovely. 5 stars from us! read more

We arrived in the evening hours and where greeted by Bunny, as very nice lady who gave us a very brief tour of the house. After our initial greeting by Bunny, we never seen her again. As described by others, the house feels like a museum. Quite and clean. There are cameras both inside and outside of the house giving you the feeling that you are always being watched. This weekend the inn keepers where celebrating their recent vow renewal and where not really around much. In fact we wanted to check out the game room, but had no idea where to find it, and there was no one around to ask. The time we where at the B & B we spent most of in the room, since there was no one in the house to interact with anyway. The B & B is located in a very nice area, quite, hidden but still very close to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The ground where clean and well maintained. There where a few animals on the grounds, chickens, a donkey, miniature horse and a cat. The weather was beautiful, and just standing outside enjoying the surroundings felt great. But for some reason I always felt the cameras since they cover your every move. Breakfast was average. The company we did have at breakfast was nice. We ate and spoke with friends of the inn keepers, who gave us a lot of background on the area. My wife was not happy with her breakfast so we opted out of the breakfast the morning of our departure. The room was nice and clean. The decor was nice and consistent with the "Whitetail" name of the room. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub, and although it is advertised as a 2 person tub unless you are both petite people it is a tub for one. The bed was King and pretty firm which we where ok with. The only issue I had was that the forced air heating vent was directly above where my head was as I slept. This made it very difficult for me to slept through the night as I felt dried out all night and had to get up several time just to re-hydrate myself. The fireplace was electric and gave a nice glow at night. The TV was tiny and hard to really see from the bed. The channel selection was average at best. There was a DVD player and we wanted to watch a movie, but couldn't find the game room to checkout any possible selection and again no one was around to help. The shower was clean but did have a crack in the floor which my wife discovered when she stepped on it and pinched her foot. We wanted to inform someone but again no one was around. We did have a cell number to text, but prior text went unanswered so we didn't bother. Since we had minimal to no interaction with anyone we simply left the key on the dresser in the room when we checked out and sent a text to the owner letting them know where to find it. Overall all it was a nice weekend away for us, but it did not at all feel like the welcoming feeling we are used to at a B & B. We have stayed at many B & B's in the past and this one falls short for us. read more

Gorgeous bed and breakfast in PA! Bunny is a doll and made us feel at home. It is a home away from home for my wife and I.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Berry Patch Bed and Breakfast. We arrived on a very rainy afternoon on July 22. The B&B is tucked away in Lebanon, PA which is close to Hershey. The Inn is beautiful with each room being unique in it's decor. We stayed in the Whitetail room with a rustic decor and deer theme. The room was spacious with the most amazing bed I have ever slept in! Bunni and Charles were welcoming and kind. We arrived around 4:30 and were looking for a place for dinner. They recommended Harper's Tavern in nearby Annville. We had a wonderful dinner and went back to the B & B to relax on the big front porch to chill and read. After a great night's sleep, we headed to the kitchen for breakfast. Bunni, who is a chef, prepared an delectable breakfast of waffles with an amazing white sauce, topped with sweet fresh strawberries and blueberries topped with fresh whipped cream along with a side of ham. It was incredible! After breakfast, Bunni shared a few jars of her own barbecue sauces and honey mustard. They, too, are amazing! We had the barbecue sauce on smoked pulled pork for a party and everyone raves about it! I would highly recommend Berry Patch Bed and Breakfast if you are passing through the area or planning a visit to Hershey, PA which is just a short trip fro the B&B. read more

When we drove around the corner and saw this Bed and Breakfast we thought the log home is spectacular.! The long driveway to the house got more exciting the closer we got. The pony, horse, donkey and goat in the pasture and beautiful fish pond gave you the feeling and knowledge that i was back home in a up sale country home. Until I walked though the doors and saw the beautiful entrance. Not at all the country log home! My eyes were filled with the most beautiful glass collection that flooded my memories of my grandmother's home as a child. the rooms were wonderful! private bathrooms and our own T.V. My boyfriend was thrilled that they had wi-fi in all the rooms and wouldn't be interrupted. I was thrilled that rooms were filled with that same love and attention as if you were staying at a family members house. And the food was wonderful too! It was the most enjoyable B&B I have ever experienced. We will be back. read more

Creepiest people and place I have ever been to! Ever seen the shining?! The woman that runs it would not leave me alone. I was quite annoyed. I was here to relax and she was always there. An unpleasant experience even though the room was nicely decorated. Just spent three days at Berry Patch in a room with private entrance and will not be returning because the following problems indicate the owners are not paying attention to basic property maintenance or customer experience. After arriving, late in evening, I used the private entrance and discovered the door knob was so loose it was close to falling off and locking me out of the room. Following morning I discovered the shower, a very small corner unit, had several problems. The shower floor, a plastic insert, was very soft and pulled away from floor drain when you stepped into shower so who knows where water was going. The shower head had major leak where it was connected to supply pipe; half the water dripped from connection and half sprayed from shower head. The shower was so small that it was impossible to not bump the water control knob and change the water temperature. Looking beyond basic room problems, breakfast is only served at 9:00am so if you want breakfast at a reasonable time ( 7 to 8am ) then Bunny points you to Keurig, with only one K cup option, and oatmeal cookies.
