The instructors are fantastic, and the environment is very welcoming. It is a great mix of fun games and actual karate. Another place we explored, while likely a great studio, didn't seem the right fit for this age and attention span. They also host wonderful events like movie nights for the kids.

Every class is different, every class they learn a new skill, and they make every class is fun. To be honest our son cares more about what Sensei thinks than us at times! ("You won't tell Sensei I had candy, will you?"). Not only do the kiddos have fun and learn various MMA techniques, but he will interject self-defense techniques as well (like how to break away from a grip if a stranger tries to grab their arm and pull them), AND those other important life lessons like how to shake hands, how to look people in the eye, what does integrity mean, etc. We love it here and honestly would recommend it to anyone and everyone. And don't think it's just for boys! No way!! One of my favorite parts (don't tell my 7 year old this) is watch the girls dominate the boys.
