So I been coming here for over a year, now. I can honestly say the atmosphere here is more about team and family, then my previous experiences. Joe and his staff take the time to make sure everyone is getting the technique of the day down. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I started off with kickboxing, then fell in love with Brazilian jiu jitsu. It has surrounded me with gymmates that are motivated to get better also like myself. Joe the owner has made it priority to keep everyone safe while training at his place . There is a temperature check before being allow into class. There are cohorts for people that are ready to train safety. There are social Distancing kickboxing classes if you're not ready for cohorts. The price reflects the quality of training that you get here. You're getting the same training as seasoned fighters. Everyone is treat the same. Highly recommend this gym. read more

I love everything about this place and I honestly look forward to every class I attend. The environment that Joe has created is welcoming to people of all levels. The instructors and the more advanced students are always willing to work extra with newer student. Joining this gym was hands down the best thing that I ever did for my health. When I joined I was overweight and suffered nagging lower back and joint pains. Three years in and I am 25 lbs lighter, stronger and mostly pain free. I cannot recommend it enoug. read more

I am a huge UFC fan with a Wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu background, and after watching some of Joe Lauzon's fights and realizing his gym was in my area, I decided I had to check it out. I was at this gym for about a month, and by the end was extremely disappointed with my experience here. Joe himself was awesome, and was the only instructor I actually liked. I greatly enjoyed learning the techniques he taught in his grappling class. However, when we would roll live most of the guys there had a meathead mentality. For example, one occasion I was rolling with a guy significantly bigger than me and I was out-techniquing him. He ended up getting mad and trying to throw me around until eventually he slammed me into the hard wall and left my back injured for about a week. At every other MMA and Jiu-Jitsu gym I've been to that behavior was not tolerated whatsoever, but here it seemed to be overlooked and sometimes even encouraged. During my time here I also decided to try out striking, which I had never before done at that point. The first kickboxing class I did I got thrown into sparring. I told my partner that this was my first time and I didn't really know what I was doing yet. He proceeded to fire hard head kicks at me the entire round and came very close to knocking me out. When I took classes with the boxing coach Steve he seemed to only care about his top fighters, and otherwise acted completely annoyed to even be there. There have also been claims that they hardly clean the place and a lot of my friends told me they had gotten nasty ringworm after training here, although I never did so I can't speak for that myself. Overall, for a UFC-level gym this place was a huge disappointment. Feel free to try it out and form your own opinion, but you'll likely have the same frustrations that I did. read more

My Son Brady has been training at Lauzon Mma for two years now. In that short time I've seen my sons grappling skills grow immeasurably. In 2014 Brady won The Pan American NoGi Juvenile Rooster Championship. He also started wrestling for his high school were he put together a record of 28-6. Qualifying for the Massachusetts state tournament in his first year as a wrestler. Brady was recognized by The Boston Globe as a Top Wrestler in The Bay State Division. What can I say about this gym? It's completely awesome!!! They have something for every level here, from beginner to advance and everything in between. They have children's classes and adult classes that coincide so you can get a workout in while your children do the same. The children's coaches are phenomenal, knowledgeable and make learning so fun for the kids no matter what skill level they are at, or maybe have never tried a class? The adult coaches are equally talented. Each instructor brings their own knowledge and experience while teaching here. They have guys who have no experience and have gone all the way to the UFC. But on a female point of view, I started knowing nothing at all, the instructors have been super supportive and I have learned so much from here. I never have to feel intimidated the gym is always been welcoming! Many families come and train here as well, and I have built lasting friendships both myself and family. As a woman, and someone brand new to the world of MMA/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I couldn't have found a better gym. All the guys there are very welcoming and encouraging. The instructors break down the moves and really work on making sure you have all your fundamentals. After going there for a year, I've learned a lot, gotten stronger, and my cardio has improved significantly. They have classes that you can attend no matter what your work schedule, and there is also an app that has the class schedule.
