Its been about a year since I had to change out my DVR and yet again we have to change it out. if you live near the UCF area and your dvR goes out and its the weekend, this is the closest Bright house to get a new box. For some god forsaken reason bright house put this location in the industrial area of Sanford. The location is extremely hard to get to near nothing. Bright house makes a fortune closes up most of the locations on the weekend and then puts the closet location out in no where land. We had to wait in a line with twelve people from all over the central florida area. Now I am not giving the one star to the employees at this location they did their job. I give the one star to Bright house for not having closer locations. Those cheapskates aren't giving us good customer service forcing us to yet again go in and get another DVR on our own time out of the way. A few people in line were told to go to this location and then told that they cant help them. After waiting in line a half hour, and traveling from the other side of central florida. There is a reason they have one of those 7-11 height stickers on the door when you leave. Just saying!! read more

We went to return a modem and had to wait for Yolanda to finish her arts and craft project (cutting out small pieces of paper, making sure they were all cut evenly, stacking them all together, putting them away, putting her scissors away) before she could be bothered to help us for one minute Horrible customer experience. read more

The Sanford customer service was horrible. I am new to the area and went in person to see the packages and get explanations of their services; however, what I received was a non-caring receptionist who seemed just as quick to get rid of me versus providing an type of service. I still went with Brighthouse, because that is the only provider in my area, but if I had another choice, you can guarantee I would not give them my business based on poor customer service. read more

Anita is rude, unhelpful and incompetent. Just moved here looking for something comparable to Cox. Brighthouse is not even close with terrible speed ratios of 30up and 2down but it is all that is available here. Even worse was their customer service over the phone that consists of outsourced people overseas. Coming into the local branch, I spoke with Anita in the middle stall. Extremely unhelpful with comments like "maybe" we will be out to survey you location and in regards to speeds " I have no idea I just sell it". Very flippant and rude. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Since they switched to Digital cable we have nothing but the problems. 60-70% of the time we lose signal in the home. And we have Phone, Cable, Internet and Home Security true them. They send technicians out numerous times, they blame it on bad modems bad boxes even had me replace my cables true my entire house, run two separate line from the street to the home but nothing works. I do expect to get what I am paying for but if I have interruption in the cable service that is not deal beaker for me but when alarm is off and when I have to create hot spot with my cell phone so my kids can finish their home work that is big problem. And costing me money for burning additional data. Now I have my parents and my brother live close by and they are having same issues. To me this points problem to Bright House not wires and cables as they are trying to present. In mean time I was at the local office waiting to pay my bill, you have to see this place, Luxury and security is out of this world, they spend some serious money to improve their work place but not their service. I'm aiming my complaint at Brighthouse as a whole not on this certain location. My overall experience with this company has been a nightmare. Customer service and communication are lacking immensely. I think they spent too much money advertising "hello friend" instead of actually being one. I recently moved, scheduled a transfer, and told the rep that we were going to need an extension for both rooms because our TVs would be on the opposite wall of the cable outlet and explained what I wanted in each room, service wise. Today was my scheduled appointment and the time frame I requested was from 2-4p so I waited around for them to come. When 4:01 came, I contacted customer service (CS). The CS rep said because it was "just outside of the appointment window" to call back in 15 minutes. Wait, what? The allotted time they gave me was from 2-4, why should I wait an additional 15 minutes? So I called back at 4:34 and said I still hadn't received any notification of why a tech hadn't arrived. I understand appointments run over, things happen, etc. but nobody contacted me at any point to say, "Hey, your technician is running a little behind, he'll be there shortly," NOTHING. My time is valuable and it's unsettling that Brighthouse doesn't consider their customer's schedule. We choose a time block for a reason. Not all of us can stay home all day waiting for the cable company to arrive. So by the time my tech arrived, I explained to him what happened and even HE was done with the company. He understood my frustration and of course I didn't direct it at him because it wasn't his fault. So, of course, he shows up without all of the equipment because he wasn't properly notified of what to bring, I was almost charged a ridiculous fee, and to top it off they didn't have everything I asked for on the paperwork. So I contacted customer service and told the gentleman that I was highly upset and disappointed and he tried to resolve the issue. When the tech finished, and tried to confirm my modem number to the rep, he discovered that the CS rep who "helped" me had actually cancelled the service, so he had to redo the installation. Yea fun times..This company is NOT worth the money they charge or the business they claim. Brighthouse was not very "friendly" in my opinion, to me, or to the tech. During one of the installations, he contacted a rep for some information, the lady he spoke to was so nasty and snappy with him. Needless to say when I find a better company, I'll be switching ASAP. They didn't even offer me something complimentary for the hassle or anything. I'm not one who complains for free stuff but damn I pay a lot for my cable, so it should be done right or they should make it right, is all I'm saying. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Brighthouse has lied t me, changed their "story" and just plane stolen from me. IF you have to have them, get everything in writing including what devices you have and what they are capable of. For two years I paid for turbo internet but it was slow, and Brighthouse "worked" on it. Finally a supervisor with brighthouse said the device they where providing was only capable of providing basic internet. So for two years I paid for turbo but got basic, and the customer service guy still says its my wifi that is the issue. They are criminals and can do no wronge. Lets all demand our cities kick them out of florida!!! If you get brighthouse be warned, dont trust anything that comes out of any employees mouth, and better business bureau is no help read more

*warning -- missing a $79 battery for my electric drill* had a problem with my internet speed. bright house sent a guy out. i told him, as an engineer with an fcc license, i thought it was a line problem outside. after hours wasting my time inside the house he decided it was my problem and left. called bright house again. they sent out another guy besides the first guy. again wasted my time running all over the house. finally, they realized it was a bad connection outside. however, after the two guys left i was missing a $79 battery for my electric drill that was on the charger in the kitchen. called bright house and they essentially laughed and said 'too bad'. i live alone and no one else had/has been in the house. be very careful. read more

Worst customer service ever. We had installation in November 2013 and were scheduled from 12-2..they showed up at 8:30pm...no phone call from technician or dispatcher....July, 2014 No cable or internet service...scheduled from 10:am - Noon...showed up at 5:00pm. Again, no phone call....horrible service and when I called twice- all I heard is I'm so sorry...from mangers and customer service. Looking for new service!!! read more

Their service is Completely Horrid!! Unfortunately, they have a monopoly in my area. I can Never get everything to work. Either the Guide doesn't work, or the On Demand doesn't work, etc etc. I've had to have my boxes replaced twice already this year! I can't wait for another company to move into this area. read more

I just got off the phone with a provider to request that they trade out my obsolete cable box, that does not have an HDMI input cable. I was told that I would incur a fee for them to come to my house to replace. I have been a customer for more than 20 years. I would think that would stand for something. Instead I must drive to Sanford on my time an trade the box out in person. This is pretty ridiculous, not happy Spectrum. Also bill keeps going up every few month a couple of dollars for what???? Your customer service is lacking.... read more

Staff was friendly and helpful. I had accidentally returned a battery with my modem, and the next day it was not possible to retrieve it. Employee gave me a new battery at no charge. read more
