Originally we hesitated sending her to daycare at all as we were worried about missing out on so much of her critical developmental months, but after seeing how much she enjoys it and how much she has improved at things she used to hate (tummy time, floor time, etc), we know we made the right choice. With a tearful eye this week, we informed Little People Child Care that we would be leaving. (no fault of LPCC. My mom is retiring and will be taking on the responsibility) Gloria of Little People Child Care is an angel and a miracle worker. She's one of those people who are genuinely warm and friendly. Are you worried that your child will not eat or nap? Gloria can work miracles and managed to get our baby to sleep and eat regularly along with the other kids. I love Little People Child Care because it's a family run business run in a house. You know she is a great parent with talking to her well-mannered boys. And even though she has so many kids under her care, I can only wish my house was as clean as hers.

She started here when she was in the 1's room and is now in the 4's...my big girl!!! haha The staff is very friendly and seem to enjoy what they do...as much as one can be expected to deal with someone elses kids lol I did file a complaint about one girl and after a few days she was no longer there...not saying it was because of my complaint, but they seemed to have recognized there was a problem and handled it accordingly. Security is a focus point for them and I friendly feel like my princess is well looked after and safe there. He would arrive everyday to class in tears, so we knew we had to find something new for him and that's when a family friend recommended Wilkins and it was the best decision we could make. He now runs to class screaming with excitement and gives a big kiss goodbye and off and playing. He's been so happy there and I can't thank everyone enough at Wilkins for welcoming us with open arms. From the very beginning, the teachers and staff have gone above and beyond--not just to "watch" the kids, but to truly teach, nurture, and connect with them. The growth I've seen in my children has been incredible. My oldest has graduated out but my youngest comes home excited, confident, and full of new things he's learned. What stands out most to me is how intentional the focus is on true development and connection. They don't teach just about letters, numbers, or milestones--they help each child grow into themselves with kindness, curiosity, and confidence. As a parent, specifically a single parent, I'm especially grateful for how seamlessly their approach aligns with the way I raise my children at home. I am conflicted writing this because we like the staff and director at CCPD, however, several…read moreparents have raised concerns over the lack of cameras, and the owners have made it clear that they will not use cameras. We have had two scares involving our child and there was absolutely no evidence other than second and third-hand stories, what we could piece together from our child's limited vocabulary, and scratches on their skin. I've also gone in to pick up our child, to find a completely new caregiver I had never seen before taking care of the kids. In 2024 there is no reason that parents should not be able to check in on their kids virtually whenever they want to. We get a few pictures of our kid a day through the app, and we are missing thousands of little moments in their development. Enough is enough. Give parents peace of mind and the sense that we are a part of our children's day, even if we can't be there in person.
