One of the best day cares in the valley. My son started when he was 3yrs old & my daughter was on & off since she was 8 months old. Staff is very welcoming & affectionate. My kids got pampered there everyday & yet learn lot many things there. All the teachers are amazing and helpful. They all offered me help at each stage of my kid's needs. It was just as co-parenting. I loved everything there - breakfast menu, lunch menu, teaching, different activities, crafts. Also, they take permission from parents if they plan to show movie/screen to the kids. Moreover, you just pay for the days your kids are attending. Went to a tour and as i was looking around i saw roaches walking by, I think it is unacceptable for a daycare to be infested! Cockroaches crawl through unsanitary areas and can contaminate surfaces, toys, and food with harmful bacteria like Salmonella, L. monocytogenes, and E. coli, leading to severe stomach illnesses. read more

This place keeps taking down my review you know it's bad that they have to do that. Few months back took my son here it was his 1st and last day at this place he walked out of his classroom with few big bruises. When I asked the teachers and manager they were not sure how it happened and didn't want to show me the videos of the day. I was told the cameras were only for viewing not recording. None of the adults in the building had gave me a report or told me anything until I asked why did my son have multiple bruises.(and no he didn't have those before I dropped him off) Not a safe place. I'm not the one to lie; my son walked out his classroom with bruises on his neck, hand and back and they still couldn't show me the recording on what happened so this place is not safe for kids. It would be dumb for ppl to assume this is made up. Please reconsider before bringing your child here. My son attended from the ages of 2 to 3.5 years old. Initially decided on this facility due to close proximity to home but we have switched to a further school and it has been the best move for our son. My son was a tad delayed with his speech so was never able to clearly communicate needs/concerns at the time. However, I always noticed his mood would alter when we would drop him off, always clutching onto us, becoming sad & withdrawn, etc. We always assumed it's because it's school and well, no one really loves school. My son is now speaking more and he is not one to lie or say outlandish things. Well today I was asking what he missed about his old school and he stated to me "Miss D***** pulled my hair, said I not gonna tell you again". She is a teacher in the 3's rooms. This is completely unacceptable and feel let down. The care these children receive trickles down from the direction of their leadership, she has never given genuine kind energy. We did really enjoy Ms Denise at the front desk, you can sense that she has a kind heart. His new preschool is simply the best. Our son loves going to school and actually asks to go to school, never has issues with drop offs and is always pleasant. The environment is a lot more engaged and structured. Not only is he being cared for, but he's learning as well(at a lower rate), can't beat that. I apologize if this post offends anyone at this daycare center, however I want others to be mindful when choosing a place for their babies. read more

The teachers at this school are beyond amazing. They really care about the kids and education! The Owner Kelley and the Director Denise on the other hand are discriminatory, unprofessional and rude! When I tried to enroll my diabetic daughter I was given a huge run around and bad attitude. My son had already been attending at least a year. Kelley seems to take offense to customers asking for a ledger of their child care expenses. And acts like she is doing you a favor to retrieve them. I've never had any issues here. My son hated daycare when we were going somewhere else in Chandler, but now he's excited to go to school. He got potty trained here! He knows all the staff and they make him feel comfortable. I feel safe having my only child here everyday! read more

I work at this childcare and we do everything we can to ensure a safe learning environment for the children, everyday at the end of the day all the toys are bleached, the rooms are vacuumed and swept and sanitized with industrial bleach. Since we spray for bugs, there hasn't been any roaches in the infant room for over 5 years and we see maybe 1-2 dead roaches in the Ones room. Don't let anyone fool you, I love working here and I don't have my own kids but I care for these as they are my own. read more

At first, I stopped by at Cactus preschool just want to check out the price and availability for my 2 years old girl. All staffs were very nice and friendly! I told my husband about this place, he came by checking out the school and told me the same thing. Final decision, we took our child to visit this place. I take reviews like this very serious seeing as they pertain to childcare...nothing is as important. Miss Kelly has done a GREAT job making this place what it is. My daughter and I have had a great experience with the ladies at Cactus Preschool over the last 2.5+ years. My princess is absolutely everything to me and she enjoys going there very much. She started here when she was in the 1's room and is now in the 4's...my big girl!!! haha The staff is very friendly and seem to enjoy what they do...as much as one can be expected to deal with someone elses kids lol I did file a complaint about an incident involving one of the staff and after a few days she was no longer there. I'm not saying it was because of my complaint, but they seemed to have recognized there was a problem and handled it accordingly. Security is a focal point for them and I friendly feel like my princess is well looked after and safe there. The rooms, hallways, playgrounds and parking lot are all monitored by cameras. The only proof I'll ever need is when I pick up my daughter and ask her how her day went. She always has good things to say. Take a tour and see for yourself obviously, but I wholeheartedly recommend Cactus Preschool. read more

Best learning center ever! My son loves it and literally goes running to the teachers! He says "yay" when we pull into the parking lot. They have really worked with my son on potty training and I love the arts and crafts the kids do. There are no tv's in the classrooms and I LOVE THAT! I could go on and on. I have so much praise for the staff, service, and overall community at Valley Child Care! I have been taking my son here since he was 5 months old, and he is now in the 3-4 year old classroom. 2 years ago I accepted a job position in North Scottsdale and was forced to take him from Valley and enroll him in a daycare located closer to my workplace. After 2 months of him being enrolled in a very corporate-centered daycare facility, each day I dropped him off there, I felt a pit in my stomach. We missed the warm community and sincerity of staff at Valley so much. It was for that reason alone, that I actually chose to resign from my new job position and took a job closer to Valley so I could re-enroll him back at this daycare. I feel like I am dropping my son off with close family every morning. He has learned so much, comes home singing songs they sang that day, and he tells me fun stories about his teachers and little buddies every night. As a nervous first time mom, this place has given more so much comfort and peace over the years, knowing that my boy is in excellent hands everyday with his Valley family :) read more

This day care is great! I was very nervous to have my son attend after being in an in home day care but my son has adapted so well to this environment and shows that he is VERY happy to be there! His vocabulary has improved and I love that all the ladies there pay close attention to the children. I see how respectful they are and how they genuinely care about my son's wellbeing. The teachers have the kids in their age appropriate classrooms, they take the time to talk to me if I have questions or anything in general and just overall super welcoming. As any parent knows it's very difficult to find and above all trust a facility with your little everything's. I was very lucky enough to have done both here. The team at Catus Preschool enjoy what they do...it's not just a paycheck for them. I not only see their attention to detail with my daughter but with every child. I want to tell everybody who is thinking about enrolling your child in Cactus it is absolutely amazing! The teachers are amazing the things they learned are far beyond anything I could have imagined. My son was completely prepared for kindergarten. He was there for years he started in daycare moved up to preschool and then finished at pre-k. I want to tell everybody who is thinking about enrolling your child in cactus it is absolutely amazing! My son was there for years! They have amazing projects they recognize everybody's birthday and they offer fun activities for family to be involved in as well. They also did a beautiful graduation ceremony for my child for graduating pre-k and welcoming them into kindergarten. They have special nights where they do special events such as spaghetti dinner evening where all the teachers and children and parents are able to sit together and chat. I never had any problems and they always took such great care of my son who was there for years. They did such a wonderful job that my son continues to go there for after-school care and will continue to go there for as long as he needs to. read more

Dishonest staff!!! Try to avoid. I called and put my child on their waiting list which they said they would have opening within 6 to 8 months. After 6 months I called and Kelly "the manager" told me no we don't have your child on waiting list!!! Unbelievable and dishonest people! If there is negative 5 I'd give them. I viewed this school online, and from the great reviews decided to take my son here to view the facility. Everything seemed great on the service, kelly and Denise were nice to me and my son when we arrived. The assistant director Denise gave my son and I a tour around the site, I met his teachers Marisha and Amanda and all seemed well. I informed all the staff there that my son had been home schooled since he was 6 months old and that I had been a stay at home mom for four years. This information was told to them because I knew it would be an adjustment for both him and I, everyone seemed to understand and be fine with this. However it went down hill from there, on 9/28/16 I took my son for his first day of school at 8:30 am. I phoned the school to check on my son at 9:39, during this conversation I was told that my son was throwing toys with other students and taking book from off the shelf. I was then told to phone back in 10 minutes to see if he would stop, so I phoned back at 9:49 am and was told that I would have to come and pick him up from the school because of this. I asked if he was hitting or disrupting the class and i was told that he wasn't. Imagine my confusion, I mean this is a class full of 3 and 4 year old children. I made it to the school at 10:05 am, walked back to my sons class to get him and another child had him on the ground hitting and punching him, my son was crying yet the two teachers in the class Marisha and Amanda didn't acknowledge what was happening, in fact neither of them knew I had entered the class. I picked my son up to put him in his stroller and another boy jumped off the table to land on my son, still know acknowledgement from the teachers. I of course got there attention and told them what was going on, still nothing. When I told them that I had been told that I had to pick up my son because he was throwing toys with the other kids and taking books from book shelf they both stated that was odd and parents aren't usually told to pick up there child(ren) because of that. I then made my way to the front to inform the director and the assistant director of what had occurred and still nothing. I then asked for the corporate information because I wanted to complain and they were both angry and shocked by this. Kelly then said "maybe he will be ok tomorrow", that was only after I asked for her bosses information. I contacted Deborah who's the director of operations for Cactus Preschool, I got her secretary Nikki a few times, but when she finally got on the line I was suppose to hear from her and she never contacted me back. I then filed a complaint with the Arizona Department of Health Services on 10/03/16, a person was suppose to go and investigate the site and get back to me with there findings, sad to say I never heard from them either. I left a message with the Arizona Department of Health Services yesterday (12/14/16), a representative phoned me back and told me that the survey "which was completed by Jennifer" for the school was done on 10/13/16 and they were not able to substantiate any negative findings at this site, and I was told I should receive the something in writing soon. Yet I had to initiate the outcome of my complaint. These child care facilities need to do better and have more patience with children, children are coming from all different back grounds. It's there job to be attentive, nurturing and caring for our children. What happens when you can't trust your child care provider. That was my sons first and last day at this facility. These women here are unprofessional and there titles and positions need to be scrutinized by the state. One of the number one rule in working with children is patience. I recently toured this LOVELY location, in hopes that it would be just as pristine and wonderful as their sister school Valley Learning Centers, which my child had previously attended. I am not one to usually gripe over the internet, but let me tell you about this "experience" we dealt with... Upon our arrival, we were greeted at the front "desk" (aka a table in a long hallway) by a lovely individual who had more track marks than Sid Vicious, who obviously loved her job SO much. While filling out the required information to tour the facility, another young lady entered the hallway from the infant's daycare room, gabbing to Ms. Vicious about how "hungover" she was and how (omg lol) she shouldn't be driving...........(I couldn't even make that up if I wanted to) We proceeded down the dark dingy hallway towards the two-year-old room, which one would think was part of said building, yes? Well, after walking out the back door and through the very minimally shaded "playground" area, we arrive at the room delegated for toddler usage. Our instant response was utter disgust, the room was a mess, and the strong stench of MOLD was coming from somewhere inside that hell hole. I checked the bathroom, since my child is in the potty training process, and the giant adult sized toilets, side by side, were in very poor shape, and the floors were covered in some sort of slime (I've seen nicer truck stop bathrooms). We moved on to the other toddler room, in hopes that it would be in better condition, and to our surprise, it was clearly not. In summary, I would not even leave my child there if I was paid to do so. I've sat on this information for a week now, and it is still haunting me, so I feel it is necessary to share with y'all. read more

Please do NOT take your kids here. It's cheap but you get what you pay for. The staff are rude and unprofessional. They act like they hate their jobs and rarely smile or greet the kids or parents when they walk in. Kids are CONSTANTLY crying and the staff ignore them. I have seen multiple staff yell at kids several times. The director is not much better. She's fine unless there is an issue. She argues with parents in front of everyone instead of pulling them aside. The building smells and just has an overall dirty feel. There isn't any security. Anyone can walk right in. There is so much turnover that there are constantly new staff so kids cannot bond with anyone. Not that they would since the staff are so unfriendly. read more
