My mother had to have an MRI performed. The first thing that struck me when I walked in here was how aesthetically pleasing the place was. It even had a beautiful scent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The two ladies sitting at the front desk greeted as soon as we walk through the door with smiles. They were eager to help my mother and made her feel at ease when she explained to them that she was in pain.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We didn't have to wait long for my mother's appointment and once she went back for her MRI, I was able to enjoy a nice cup of coffee, watch The Morning News, and get a little bit of work done while I waited. I am extremely disappointed with Bright Imaging in Bedford. I drove 46 minutes to my MRI appointment on January 24, 2026, arriving at 2:40 PM for a 3:00 PM appointment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I arrived, there were no other patients, and four front desk staff were openly chatting and laughing about personal matters.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After checking in and changing, I waited until 3:45-3:50 PM before being told the MRI machine was down and could not be fixed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I received no apology, no explanation, and no effort to make things right.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only alternative offered was an 8:00 AM appointment the next day at another facility -- no options, no flexibility, no consideration for the inconvenience caused.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I left the office around 4:00 PM frustrated and completely disappointed. This level of unprofessionalism, lack of communication, and disregard for patients' time is unacceptable. Management need to review their practices, train staff on professionalism, and improve how they handle equipment issues. read more

Nice facility where I've gone to in the past for mine and my family's needs but today I had the worst experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a woman who checked me in, when I arrived 20 min earlier than my scheduled appointment I went ahead and virtually filled out all my paperwork only to have me Waiting an hour and when I went up to the desk the woman told me to give her a second which then continued to help two other women who walked up and started asking her questions while I stood there, when she was done she continued to ignore me standing there in which I went to another young lady told ask her what was happening, and why I wasn't being seen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lady who had been ignoring me then says my appointment isn't till 2:45pm at this point she only knows my last name and not my first name and when I told them they acted like I wasn't even on the schedule...she was trying to fit me in I know that look because I too have worked in healthcare and know when someone is scrambling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I told them not to bother that I was leaving and they better not bill me for the visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a waste of time, they are quick to want to get you scheduled for these visits and leave you waiting past your appointment time with no regard to your time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I understand that some places are under staffed or that they may be running behind but they should at least advise you of that when your checking in and not let you sit there and waste your time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be looking elsewhere for all my imaging needs in the future. Healthcare can be such a strenuous process, so I always have a little bit of annoyance when I have to do testing at a place I've never been before. Straight away, though, I had a pleasant experience at Bright Light. Front desk people were available and ready to check me in. Waiting rooms were clean and spacious. I was attended to pretty quick. Changing rooms were nice and spacious. Everyone I encountered was very attentive and nice. I didn't once feel neglected throughout the process of getting my MRI. Worst experience ever!!! I was making CT scan with contrast. The technician couldn't put the catheter into my veins. First she put into my right arm and it didn't work. Then she put into my left arm and started the CT scan. When they started to inject the contrast, I felt crazy pain in my arm from my fingers to my shoulder. They finished the scan and told me that it wasn't enough contrast to make the scan. I guess the injection went into my muscle. I was dying with this arm pain but decided to finish the scan. She tried to put the catheter into my right hand, but it didn't work too. So she put the catheter into right arm where we started and finally it worked. She came and made contrast injection manually, I felt burning in my whole body because of contrast, like it should be and she finished the scan. The arm is crazy swollen right now. I hope it will come back in normal shape. P.S. I'm muscular dude and have never had issues with any catheters and blood analysis because I have big veins. The doctors all the time was telling me that it's so easy to work with my veins. I had asked for the contrast to be injected slowly and carefully for fear of complications but this was ignored by the technician and was injected automatically. I'm really shocked from this unprofessional experience in medical field!!! read more

This is like the worse place. I was trying to get my imaging done, they kept me going back and forth and when they finally got my imagining order, they told me they do not have openings until March. Why not to be honest and say that since the beginning. The people that I spoke with are very rude, no professionalism at all. I had a mammogram done through the hospital of my general practitioner a couple weeks ago. they requested additional imaging but couldn't get me into any of their facilities for a month. cue the panic. Horrible, incompetent facility. I walked out after having two blown veins for IVs and my whole procedure messed up because I was not asked the correct pre-procedure questions. I have never been fearful for my own health due to the incompetence of medical staff, but I was here. Do not go! Half of the staff is rude too. I walked out before getting my MRI I was so angry and scared. I guess this is what you get when insurance company farm out procedures to the lowest bidders. read more

I found a lump and needed a mammogram and ultrasound. I was very nervous, but the staff put me at ease. They go out of their way to make you more comfortable: the gown was heated and I had a private changing room as well as a separate waiting area. The mammo and ultrasound techs were both very nice and gentle, and the experience was much easier than I expected. To further add to my positive experience, I received a call from Dr. Mendi (the radiologist) on a Saturday morning letting me know my results which meant I didn't have to spend all weekend worrying. I was HIGHLY impressed with the staff and the variety of services offered by Bright Light. I first spoke with Rachit Mendi, who let me know about the various tests, locations, and costs. He even made contact with my doctor to set up the correct CT SCAN I would need, which was set up in a few days. I was seen at the Elk Grove Village location. Front reception area staff greeted me warmly, answered my questions and set me up with a payment plan (I had no insurance). I had a short wait, and the radiologist came and took me for my scan. What a sweet woman! Friendly and made me feel at ease during the procedure. I had my results quickly! I may be needing to go for another test in a month, based on what will be discussed with my doctor. If so, I will be calling Bright Light again. Their kindness during a trying time of needing a CT test - and not having insurance - put me at great ease. And their prices are truly less than what a hospital charges for sure.
