I had an incredible experience at tinley park simon imaging. I went to another supposed open MRI,…read more I walked out. It was not open. At Tinley park Simon, they are wonderful!! The technician was so kind and patient. I have to have another MRI on another area, I am definitely going back to this facility.

I recently invested **$1,899.00** in the **Longevity Whole Body MRI** at Simonmed, and my…read moreexperience has been nothing short of disappointing. My appointment on **July 9, 2026**, was marred from the start by the lack of clear signage at the Tinley Park location, leading to a frustrating drive around the building. Upon entering, I was struck by how small and outdated the waiting area felt, which did little to inspire confidence. The MRI dressing rooms were alarmingly cramped, resembling closets more than private spaces, with flimsy curtains offering minimal privacy. The MRI room itself was dated and appeared poorly maintained, lacking any effort to create a welcoming environment-it honestly looked dirty. The MRI machine showed significant wear and tear, raising doubts about the quality of the imaging. While the technician and front desk staff were courteous, that was the only positive aspect of my visit. When my consultation on **July 16** arrived, I was shocked to find that Simonmed had scheduled it in a different time zone. Their promise to call me back for a reschedule has gone unfulfilled for over three weeks, leaving me in the dark. It's disheartening to think that had I not requested a refund, they would have continued to operate without concern for their contractual obligations. My request for a refund was denied by **Cynthia M.**, who refused to communicate with me directly and instead passed the message through chat. I no longer want my images or report from a facility that has proven itself untrustworthy. Moreover, I have serious concerns about the accuracy of their scans. Areas of my brain and pelvis that I know have issues from a recent MRI at a local hospital were apparently overlooked. This raises significant doubts about their claims of "state-of-the-art" imaging and qualified radiologists. I have filed consumer complaints and initiated a chargeback with my bank. Simonmed takes your money and then effectively ghosts you, all while understanding that they have not provided results for nearly a month. Instead of taking accountability, they complicate matters for patients seeking refunds. **This place is a scam. I urge anyone considering their services to look elsewhere.**

Thanksgiving night, I lose my balance (give me a break, my center of gravity is a little off these…read moredays!), topple, and essentially jam the hell out of the thumb on my right hand. Ow. Ow, ow, ow, ow, OW. My husband, a firefighter/paramedic, took one look at my thumb and noticed my obvious lack of range of motion, and decreed an x-ray was in my future. Sigh. An x-ray. At, like, 8 PM on Thanksgiving? An ER visit. Really? I wasn't feeling it. Like, at all. The pain was pretty intense (and trust me, my tolerance is higher than most) so I packed up and headed to Ingalls despite my reservation about urgent aid-like places. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, the visit was smooth sailing. Color me impressed. Registration was a breeze (even though I'm right handed and my writing was, well, a little sloppy, to say the least). The nurses were great, the x-ray tech was fabulous (she double gowned me--something I greatly appreciated as I was 28 weeks pregnant at the time), the ER doc was gentle and proficient and explained everything very, very thoroughly. While the x-ray was clean (YAY for no broken bones!), the odds of a torn ligament were very, very high. The nurses braced me up and the doctor sent me off with a referral for an ortho in the area for an MRI if I wasn't entirely pain-free in a reasonable amount of time. Start to finish as far as time spent at said urgent aid facility? Roughly one hour. ONE HOUR, people. I was anticipating three times as long. Coupled with the amazing staff, quality of care received, cleanliness, etc.? I am a fan indeed. Ingalls Urgent Aid Family Care Center, you are full of win, my friend.

It was mammogram time again. I originally scheduled the appointment for July 16 at 12:30 p.m., but…read morea terrible storm hit the area during the wee hours of the morning causing a power outage. I had no power and everything at home was a bit chaotic. I hate canceling appointments on the day of service because it just seems rude to me. However, I had no other choice in this situation. I called and spoke to an appointment desk representative who was kind, sympathetic, and understanding. The storm impacted so many people, and she was understanding. Rescheduling was hassle free. My new appointment date and time was set for today at 11 a.m. Well, I put the wrong time in my phone calendar thinking the new appointment was 12:30 p.m. (like my previous appointment). I showed up at noon! I was so embarrassed and felt badly. Tio, the representative, was so kind and understanding. I apologized profusely. He told me that they would fit me in. I told him I'm willing to wait as it's totally my fault for mixing up the appointment time. The waiting room is gorgeous and relaxing. I waited for less than 5 minutes! The technician, Tracyna (I hope I spelled her name correctly), greeted me with a warm smile and escorted me to the changing room. She was so kind, professional, patient, and understanding. I apologized to her, too. Tracyna was so gracious and welcoming! We chatted for a couple of minutes while she explained the procedures and answered questions. She has a wonderful sense of humor and sweet disposition. The procedure took about 20 minutes. I hugged Tracyna and thanked her for being a wonderful human being. I like her so much that when I'm in the building again, I'm going to stop by to say hello. Now, you know my story. I highly recommend Prime Medical Imaging. If you go, please say hello to Tio and Tracyne for me!

I have had x-rays, CT scans, and MRIs here, and they are always professional. The one concern I…read morehave is that the results seem to "not get to" the ordering doctor. I am not sure how they can remedy this but they certainly need to. My last exam, I had a sticky note on the order with the doctor's name and fax number; however, the doctor never received it, though they said thy faxed it. I had the foresight to call the day before my appointment, to ensure the office had the results. They did not, and I had to have it re-sent to the office. The staff is kind, caring, and thorough, but there seems to be something not quite right about ensuring the results get where they need to. I would recommend a "follow-up" protocol be put into place.

I was scheduled for an MRI with contrast and my insurance company set the appointment up. So I…read morearrive 15mins early and was asked to fill out the necessary paperwork. When I returned to the desk, the lady asked for my doctors order. I told her that I did not have that but it should've been sent over by my insurance company. She stated she never received it. I, of course asked, how did you set the appointment and know what I need if you don't have my doctors order? Why would that even be acceptable? She had no answer and said she just didn't have it. I immediately got on the phone and called my insurance company so that they could start the process of sending it over via fax and email. While I was waiting at the counter, talking to my insurance company, the assistant at the counter asked, how was I paying? I explained that it was prepaid through my insurance company. She stated that she relayed to them the day prior that prepaid was unaccepted and that I could not present a prepaid virtual card, it would have to be a physical card to prove this payment. I explained that they don't give you a physical card...It's all done electronically and that this is been the process as far as I could remember. She continued to explain that she told my insurance company already. Why not me? I didn't receive a call to relay this info and since I'm the patient and had already paid, I should've been notified of this before driving to the location when my appointment was not approved per their policy. Also, it wasn't mentioned once I gave my name and was asked to fill out the paperwork while requesting that I removed my jewelry at the same time by this same person. So, the frustration was building as I'm waiting on the order to be sent and now I'm thinking about the compiling situation at hand. They don't have the doctors order, they're not accepting my prepaid payment and then she tells me that I'm over the appointment time and I'll have to reschedule... Are you kidding me? I am so upset and in pain, more disappointed in their service and the way they are handling this and treating me. The fact that I never received any personal correspondence from them and in pain at the same time is utterly ridiculous and it's obvious that they have a problem with communication, office staff, management and personal skills. African-American people may be an issue for them as well, as I saw a couple other red flags so be cognizant of these issues before scheduling with them because their handling of patients and insurance companies is very unacceptable. They don't care about the patient, just about their money it seems.

I had been seeing a nurse…read morepractitioner at Duly in Joliet for typical middle aged male maladies - high blood pressure & cholesterol. I know insurance companies will tell you that a nurse practitioner is "just as good" - they are not. I switched to Dr. Mike and he adjusted my medication - lower does and different meds, and spoke in positive and motivational ways about lifestyle changes. Everything is under control now and I feel great - with less medication. When I had a distal triceps rupture he referred me immediately to a competent surgeon who performed the extensive repair. I can't speak to the negative reviews of office staff that I have seen on Yelp, except to note that many of those reviews are dated and I have to believe that Hedges Clinic has addressed the issue because everyone I communicate with there is polite and I have no problems. I only rated 4 stars instead of 5 because they offer no weekend hours. I understand that doctors and staff want to enjoy weekends off like everyone, but they're in the healthcare industry, which is like the service industry in many ways. Not all working stiffs can take a day off work to go to the doctor. It would be nice if they were open 1/2 days perhaps every other Saturday. Sometimes you have to be at work when others are off to run the best business. That critique is for the Clinic - Dr. Mike still gets 5 stars.
