From the front I could see that heading towards the back was their space where they work their printing magic. They didn't have anyone really working up in the front area. A guy greeted me and just mentioned that he would check on me occasionally (they seemed to be occupied in the back). I perused the wall of greeting cards ($4.25/piece) , cool journals and notebooks that were on hand. What really catches your eye about their items are the catchy, clever phrases and nice graphics with great pops of color. I don't think their cards are for everyone(Hallmark they are not) but they do definitely get your attention. I ended up stocking up on a nice amount of cards to have on hand for those last minute birthdays that always escape you. I do wish they offered some sort of deal for multiple card purchases as I am sure it would encourage me to buy more. I did end up leaving with 6 great cards either way. Nonetheless, if you're looking for a unique greeting card or some fun writing journals /notebooks you won't find anywhere else give this place a whirl.

I had not been to Sam's since they moved across the street a few years ago. As a customer I went for some colored pencils and the staff was extremely helpful in finding items for a gift. I was walked by a staff member to several areas of the store and items to choose from were placed in my hands while the staff member explained the features and made recommendations. The level of customer service and help is something you don't commonly see in retail stores these days. The store has a tranquil vibe which makes it fun to browse the many gift items. Their stock is unique in that they carry a breadth of items that are high quality at a range of prices. You can spend a lot of time here finding inspiration and treasures. They offer art classes and during the Christmas season they offered free make and take craft classes. They had a small cardboard 'house or cottage' setup inside the store with tables stocked with all the supplies you needed for that weeks's free project. This was not just for kids. My friend and I had fun making gift tags the day we were visiting the store. The store is beautiful inside and out. My favorite sections where on the top floor so I spent most of my time there, you'll find books for all kinds of hobbies, travel books, cookbooks, books for pets, sketch books and coloring books. Downstairs had a kids section, fiction and non-fiction books and magazines. Many books were discounted or on sale. Overall it was quiet and had lots of seating space to work from. As it turns out the owners Mark and Jena Miller who own M & F Fabrics, LLC, also own the Calico stores in Sarasota and Naples Florida. This store was poorly run and in response to months of attempts to find resolution all I received was an email stating this matter had been resolved without a signature. That's right no name was signed, I do not know who this email came from. In my opinion, this store treated me unfairly and the manager, Jasmine Ortiz behaved unprofessionally by telling me they would remake my valances for 4 months and then reneging. It is my opinion, that consumers should not do business with them.
