Misc Market is one of my favorite places to shop local in Orlando and my go-to spot for all of my gifting needs. I mean... mostly gifts for myself, but I was able to knock out all of my last minute holiday shopping last year in one swoop thanks to Miscellaneous! The owners Dede and Landrea are the absolute sweetest sister-duo, and they put so much heart and attention to detail into this beautifully curated shop. I love how they constantly change things up season to season, redecorate the store, bring in new products, and create cute themed vignettes. It's different every time I visit which is always a fun surprise! I personally love their witty greeting cards, enamel pins, fabulous candles and match holders, incense, cocktail glassware, stationery & paper goods. Most recently, they had an adorable summer picnic section with the cutest baskets and other picnic essentials. There's so much to look at, and it takes me about 3 laps around the store just to make sure I saw everything. The shop is conveniently located in Ivanhoe Village and ample street parking is usually available during their store hours. 5 Star update! Still an epic spot for all your gifting needs, but I wanted to add that they are handling COVID well (masks, distance, etc). I love this shop. Since discovering it last year, I've been low key stalking them on social media and Yelp and buying gifts there on the (fairly) reg. A few things to note- during COVID, they are making sure to keep to a certain number of people inside at a time. Luckily, it didn't take long for me to get inside. They also have stickers on the floor to help guide you to keep distance while in line. And, all the staff and shoppers were wearing masks. A hugs plus! Besides that, the shop has gotten even more fabulous (if you can believe it). They have sections for cards, home goods, and various fun gifts around to make a perfectly-curated shop. I have to admit, I've bought more for myself here than actual gifts, but that's just to say everything is AMAZING and makes my home feel more design-y. Finally, the owners are LOVELY. They help you out with any questions, remember you, and offer beautiful bags with tissue paper, so you can literally walk out and give the gift without any wrapping required. It looks like a store that would be super expensive, but I was surprised that the prices were reasonable. I got a nice pair of sunglasses for something like $15. A little bit of this, a little bit of that... Miscellaneous Market is the hidden gem of the Ivanhoe strip, located next to Better than Sex and White Wolf Cafe. I came here recently to do a little bit of last minute Christmas shopping and boy did I come to the right place. The gift givers dream with items ranging from books, stationery, home decor, bar essentials, accessories you name it and this store probably has it. What I had really enjoyed was how well everything was organized in the store, making it easier for shoppers like myself to navigate and browse through. When it comes to how they were handling shopping during the pandemic, I have to say that the shop definitely took extra precautions to promote social distancing as well as patrons and workers were all required to wear masks.. they had truly created a safe shopping environment to not only myself but also for all their other customers which I had truly appreciated. The shop is also family owned by the nicest and most genuine family you will ever meet, they are all so welcoming and eager to help you with any questions you might have. Overall I have to say I would highly recommend this quaint shop to anyone in need of inspiration to find that perfect gift for that special someone. What a cute and unique find! I wanted to find gifts for my coworkers from my Orlando trip, and let me tell you this place does not disappoint! The moment you walk in your hit with this majestic smell. I don't know if its from the candles or soaps but they need to find a way to sell that too! They have books, soaps, chocolate, scrubs, cheese boards, face masks, novelty goods, bowls/cups/glasses, & so so so much more. I can go on for hours on all the goodies they have - but I believe you just need to go and see what this shop has to offer! I spent a long time looking through their things but as I was walking back to the register I was distracted with more things. I love the women empowerment vibe that they have here! Our friends were casually walking by some shops today and out of all of them this one grabbed our attention. Our vibes were pulled in and let me tell you, it was the best time ever. I finally stopped in this little shop after working next door several months and it was everything I hoped for. The perfect shop for gifts with a pretty large variety so you're likely to find something for anyone you may be shopping for. The items are all unique and you're not likely to see anything that you'd see in an everyday department store. The best way I can describe it is a much better version of the Francesca's chain. I checked a few gifts off my holiday shopping list and will definitely be back for more gifts in the future. Kitschy with a whole lot of glam, this store is fabulous. Family run and operated, you can feel the love when you walk in. The ladies that own the store are always SO friendly and helpful, and they're always there working their butt off! Their displays are well organized and most all items are fairly priced. Each visit I always find something to gift to friends while finding a few home decor items for myself. No private parking lot, be prepared to parallel park on the street. I have driven by this storefront multiple times on the way to my work, but have yet to stop by. Today I changed that! Right away, the airy ambiance blew me away. This place smells AMAZING. Maybe it's the candles? Maybe it's an essential oil? I have no clue, but right away the atmosphere made me feel welcomed and like I could stay for awhile. Spoiler: I stayed awhile. From homewares to gifts to cocktail accessories, everywhere I looked I saw unique items that I haven't seen in any other store. I felt like a kid in a candy store--everything was pleasing to the eye, from displays to stickers. The store is ran by two sisters who KNOW what to sell. This place is fantastic for anyone you are shopping for--especially yourself. So next time you need to find the perfect throw pillow for that new couch or a decanter for your whiskey, or the perfectly sassy sticker for your 10-year-old Nalgene you can't get rid of, consider shopping local at Miscellaneous Market.
